Very frustrating and stressful experience: I returned my rental vehicle exactly as instructed. I was directed to drop it off at Sugar Hill Auto Body instead of the Enterprise office at 75 Main St, Monroe, CT--even though I asked to return it directly to the office since I was already nearby. My rental contract officially ended on Friday, 11/14/2025 at 2:27 PM, which is clearly shown on the receipt Enterprise later sent me. At the time of return, no damage was reported, and I even left a positive review after Enterprise requested feedback the following day. More than a month later, on 12/18/2025, I unexpectedly received messages and emails claiming that damage was discovered two days after I returned the vehicle, and that I needed to contact my insurance or pay by credit card. At first, I genuinely thought this was a scam due to how delayed and unexpected the notice was. When I went in person to address this, the manager confirmed it was "not a scam" and told me I was responsible--despite the following facts: 1. The Enterprise pickup employee did not notify the auto body shop staff (who handed over the keys) of any damage when the vehicle was collected two days later, on Monday 11/17/2025. 2. The vehicle was no longer in my possession when the alleged damage was found. 3. There are no photos, videos, or CCTV footage available--both Enterprise and the auto body shop stated recordings are automatically deleted within a month. 4. I was notified more than a month after the rental ended. As a result, I spent an entire day going back and forth between the Enterprise location, the auto body shop, and the Newtown Police Department, where I filed a report for documentation purposes and was given an incident report number. There is no proof that the damage occurred while the vehicle was in my possession, yet I am still being held responsible. This feels unfair, unprofessional, and extremely frustrating. I strongly caution customers to document everything--take photos and videos with timestamps at drop-off. Also, make every effort to return vehicles directly to an Enterprise office, even if asked to drop them elsewhere "for convenience," and insist on a final inspection in your presence. Otherwise, you risk being charged for damage discovered long after your rental ends, without evidence. PS: However 10 days after disputing the claim with their Damage recovery Unit, today morning Enterprise called and informed me that they have investigated and that they have made a decision to take care of the damages and costs of the clai they had filed and decided to close the case which was definitely a big relief after all the harassment I had endured causing lot of frustration and anxiety. read more

The Monroe Enterprise location is one of the best I've been to. Honestly I've never had any complaints dealing with Enterprise staff at this location, go out of their way to make everything go smoothly any problems they take care of right away . Brian was especially patient answering all my questions. I would highly recommend them. read more

Rent from here if you really don't need a car. I had my reservation confirmed for Friday, August 30. I went to pick it up and was told by the representative "my manager took all of my cars today - we have no vehicles available." If that was not bad enough, they lied and said they called me on August 28. No voicemail or call record on my phone - because they never called. Why would they have called me on the 28th if the manager took the cars on the morning of the 29th? I have been a customer at this location for over 5 years. When Andrew was there, the place was run professionally - now, a third-rate bucket shop. For those who live in Monroe, you are gambling if you book here. Always have a Plan B. My company reserved a vehicle for me as i will be out of state for work. On friday i called and spoke to the loction confirming a 11am pickup on sat. On sat the place was CLOSED, now i will putting 1000miles on my own as i have to leave on sunday!. Horrible place. Do not use this location. Hours posted dont mean anything. For 3 weeks I've been trying to get these issues resolved and nothing is happening..They tell me to send them an email with my information and rental agreement.or to call customer service.I've sent 5 emails to them and I've called the customer service line and explained my my issues 6 times and not one call back.This company doesn't care about anything but taking your money..if they really wanted to help me they would of tried reaching out to me..Don't anyone rent from them. This place sucks. I should've mentioned to them about their cracked windshield. Had to pay 250 out of pocket. Lady wasn't rude but totally didn't believe that I got the car like that. Noticed it as soon as I got home. Check the car very carefully lesson learned. Fml read more

Just wanted to take the time out to say " AWESOME SERVICE " Enterprise in Monroe, Ct. The Staff Maxanne & Mike are amazing . With death in the family and needed a vehicle ASAP. Sometimes at the last minute things can get very overwhelming, and you have to pay higher rate. We were able to get a GREAT DEAL, nice vehicle and the Staff was so understanding.
