Honestly if it were not for the nice staff that works here I would give one star. What is the point of renting a car and reserving it if the car you do reserve is never the car that you get??? I do not mean the model. I mean the amount of people that sit in the car. We rented a large 7 seater car. We actually had reserved an SUV. we were excited to have it since we really wanted the space in order to travel comfortably with our party. Unfortunately when we got there my husband was told that they did not have this car. He was told you had to rent in different enterprises and pray that the one you rented it had that car. He then asked if they at least had a van. They also said no. We ended up getting a very small suv in which we had to squeeze in. It was pretty ridiculous. I just don't understand the point of reserving the car getting there and then just getting whatever. If they didn't have that small suv we probably would have gotten nothing. My husband was there waiting for four hours. I'm going to try out different rental companies and see if we have better luck. The customer service was great though and everyone was nice. read more

This is in reference to a "confirmed" reservation I had at an Enterprise at West Perrine location 17750 South Dixie Hwy Cutler Ridge FL. 33152 for October 16th 2023. On October 16th I arrived to pick up my confirmed rental car. Upon my arrival the only car that was available was a FILTHY DIRTY mini van. The vehicle was not washed and interior was disgustingly dirty. The interior was beyond dirty it looked like a dumpster. There was dirt, tissues, napkins, fast food bags and to go cups all over the place and the vehicle reeked in the smell of marijuana. I refused to take that rental. I was informed that another vehicle would be available in about 3 hours so i waited because I was not going to drive that disgusting vehicle, I was told that a Nissan Rogue would be available in a few hours so I returned around 4pm. I was given a Toyota Rav 4 that was again not washed or cleaned outside and inside. There where crumbs, ashes, burn holes in seat, and stains on all of the seats and the car smelled horrible. I asked again for a replacement and there was nothing. I called everyday and nothing. I don't even understand why these FILTHY DISGUSTING cars are even in circulation to rent. I had to put towels down on seats and spay air freshener just to make my self feel less disgusted with the filth. When I finally returned the vehicle I was forced to drive, I expressed my disappointment to the representative Hector. He didn't really have any empathy nor did any of the other representatives that I spoke to on a daily basis trying to switch out rental for a cleaner one. This is not my first bad experience with enterprise however it will definitely be my last. I read some Yelp reviews and same complaints about the filthy cars and lack of customer service. read more

I am convinced that mostly incompetent people work at this location. I had to wait an extremely long time although I had a reservation. Then when I returned my vehicle, I accidentally left my stroller parking decal in the rental. I returned the car at closing and returned when they opened the next day and they told me they didn't have it, the car was rented and the new driver will most likely throw it away. What they didn't know is that my mom was waiting for me in the car and saw the employee go to the exact vehicle we rented and took the decal out. Of course they denied it but I will NEVER rent from that location again. Update: when I went inside to inquire about the lost and found that the employee never mentioned to me but I heard about when I called, they gave me an old decal in this condition. Enterprise customer for 20+ years. 1st. time dealing with a disabled vehicle, wasted half-day due to incompetent roadside assistance & locale office that offered no help. Still waiting for response from local district manager. I can only assume the incompetence starts in upper management. Received response from customer service that monitors this site, claimed someone would get in touch, which is the same response I received from the local office. Never come here. An absolutely miserable and, frankly, unscrupulous experience. Everything was set up outside due to COVID, yet they allowed people without masks or with masks around their neck/under their nose to be on the premises. If you don't want to enforce proper anti-exposure practices, then why force everyone outside while pretending to care? They had to "sanitize" the cars in real time- meaning they did not clean and sanitize their fleet vehicles as they came in so they would be ready for customers. We all waited outside in the blistering heat and humidity for over an hour. My appointment was at 7:30 and I left after 8:30, constantly having to walk away from others without masks on. It was extremely inefficient and I did not feel safe or cared about. I say "sanitize" because when I actually got in the car it was not clean at all (see photos), it was very grimy, and I was left wondering if they even cleaned it. As an added bonus, the car only had a quarter tank of gas in it. So I spent an extra 45 minutes gassing the car up and sanitizing it on my own before I could get on the road. The other aspect of their services that I find just plain wrong is their payment practices. I wasn't informed until they brought the car to me that you're charged a $200 security deposit, which is not mentioned anywhere obvious when you make the reservation on their website. I ended up having a hold of almost $600 on my card for an under $400 rental. Then when I dropped off the car, they charged my card AGAIN for the amount, which made it so my card had almost $1000 inaccessible to me. I haven't ever had this happen with any other rental car experience. The thing is, I have the money, so it didn't negatively affect me personally, but I can't imagine what it would be like for someone who doesn't and suddenly gets hit with a deposit and with the second charge affecting their credit availability. Especially in these economic times, I found it dishonorable. When I dropped it off I was told the $200 would be released to me, which doesn't match what actually occurred here. When I called they had no sympathy. They kept saying I needed to call my bank and that the almost $600 "hold" would eventually disappear. That they only "kept" the original amount. Well, my bank account online reflected otherwise. Why they could not have just charged the almost $600 and then credited the $200 is beyond me. They told me I would have to physically go there to pick up the invoice instead of just emailing it to me if I wanted to contact my bank. The attitude was too bad, we don't care, and if you want any resolution you'll have to inconvenience yourself even more. Overall I would never rent from these people again. The lack of transparency, lack of compassion for customers, and lack of efficiency is not worth it. read more

I was having trouble with a car I had purchased. So, I needed a rental while my car is being fixed. Obviously.. their car sales place SCREWED me so my car having issues was not my fault. It's their car sales fault. Then! This place... gave me a rental while I waited for my car. After RETURNING the car. A week LATER I see RANDOM CHARGES on my card. Absolutely terrible service. We made a reservation for a suburban. My husband called several times to ensure they have it available. Despite him calling a week before, we show up today to pick up at 7:30 am and they said they noticed 2 days ago that it needed an oil change so they are doing that before they give it to us. Why they couldn't check a week ago when my husband called is beyond me. It's 8:30 and it JUST pulled up. Then they also said they lost their gas card so they are unable to fuel it making us even more late for our trip. I have never had worst customer service. When I had my rental I bought a sunpass. When I turned in the vehicle I left an item in the car and the sunpass. I got in contact with them the day of turning it in to please remove both items from the vehicle. They did not check the vehicle and rented it to a person that same day. DO NOT USE THIS ENTERPRISE LOCATION (17750 S Dixie Highway). I don't even understand why this location is open for business. Enterprise Corporate should either fire the entire staff or shut it down. Their staff is getting paid to simply carry an iPad, saying they can't help you! We had reserved a Chevy Suburban for a road-trip Thanksgiving week. Aside from making my reservations in AUGUST, I spoke to two people who work there a few days before pickup, who GUARANTEED we would get the vehicle we rented. The day of pick-up (Nov. 20), the staff kept turning people away saying they had no vehicles available, and that they would put them on a waiting list. When I finally spoke to Leo, he communicated the same thing and did very little to help. He kept repeating his talking points: We don't have cars and I needed to be on a waiting list. Without even trying to call other Enterprise locations, he said all the locations were dealing with the same problem. I had taken an Uber to the location, ready to pick-up a car, and I found myself stranded. I later asked Leo if he could at least order an Uber for me to get back home. He disappeared to talk to his manager, Jose, who said that I needed to wait until the location was empty before they would order an Uber for me. (I ENDED UP CALLING AN UBER MYSELF). At that point, I asked to talk to Jose ("the manager"), who claimed he was trying his very best to help me. He kept disappearing into his office, and coming back to say the same thing: You are welcomed to stay around, but I will call you when I find you a car. (I NEVER GOT A CALL BTW). He then tried to convince me to get into a smaller SUV, even though I had told him WE WERE EIGHT PEOPLE, PLUS LUGGAGE. He and his team didn't seem concerned that all their customers were walking away empty-handed, and left to figure out last minute how to find a vehicle at a competing rental company. Aside from the fact that you are left outside to wait since you can't go inside due to COVID, you have to stand in the sun, and particularly on that day, we also got rained on. They wouldn't even allow customers to use the bathroom, and directed me to cross a busy South Dixie Highway to find a bathroom at the shopping center across. It wasn't until I told them that I AM THREE-MONTHS PREGNANT, that they allowed me to use it. Going into two hours of waiting, and no real resolution, my husband called Enterprise National, who said they were obligated to find me a car at another location and for the same price. Enterprise National promised to call me to file a complaint. It's December 1, and I never got the call. Meanwhile, Jose was walking around with his iPad, and this time told me a different story: The Chevy Suburban is on recall and the vehicles are at the shop. Just hours earlier, Leo and Jose had said that customers had extended their rentals. How would you allow customers to remain with vehicles that are under a factory recall? Wouldn't that be a liability? HMMM. Given that Jose didn't care to run his Enterprise location efficiently and didn't seem to care that all the customers were walking away empty-handed, we started making calls to other rental companies. Luckily, we found a 12-passenger van with Budget, and managed to go on our road trip to Gatlinburg as planned. Enterprise National, Jose and his team at the 17750 S Dixie Hwy deserve less than one star in customer service. They are not running that location efficiently and simply DO NOT know how to run a business! read more

I rented a car while I waited for my car to be shipped to Miami. Service was impeccable from the moment I called for availability to the moment I returned the car. Unfortunately, I returned the rental a few hours late due to delays from the trucking company caused by the corona virus pandemic; as a result, I was unable to return the car timely.The assistant branch manager, Alfredo, asked the reason why the car was late, and I shared what happened. He waived the the additional fee without me even having to ask for it. I don't think he knows how much he help me, despite the nominal amount. This is the worst location I have ever dealt with not just in enterprise but rental car places all over. They function under the guidance of the manager in a we can give you a deal if we mess up. I have rented 4 times and never without delay. My first rental one answered at the branch to arrange pick up I called for an hour and a half. My second rental I arrived and they have don't have the reserved car type available. They didn't call to say there is a delay, I came to the the branch and they advised it would be 30 minutes for the car to be available. An hour later still no car. I reserved a week in advance. After my return and advising I would not give an excellent response to the customer survey, they gave me a free day in my next rental. My next rental was good. On time and car was ready. My fourth rental took me two hours to receive and I called in advance to confirm it. Once I arrived I was informed opposite of what was told to me when I called in. I spoke to the manager who advised they are working to improve and they have new tablet. Unfortunately the tablets are not the issue the lack of phone usage appears to be the real hiccup. My next rental I did at another location and ended up with a delayed pick up, because this location did not close my previous ticket and made no effort to note my account so it didn't hinder me... read more

What a disappointment, incompetent is a nice word to describe these people. I took the rental car clean when we got it all dirty. I was told everything was fine and the next day when I checked my account I realized they had taken a big chunk of money from us. Instead of contacting my insurance or letting me know they needed to extend the contract they took the money from me. We had to deal with these people for more than a week so they could give us our money back. I called 18007747578 to open a complain with Corporate, I am still waiting to hear from them. The people at this location are very unprofessional. Keep all your receipts and avoid dealing with this office, they put you on hold forever and they don't help you. Reservations not required nor do it means anything. You can reserve a car for pickup at 9am and don't get it until 2pm. So if you're on a schedule please allow yourself to the least of 4hrs. here. Also, be sure you live in Perrine only in order to take advantage of the "we pick you up" slogan. When I was a young girl my parents only rented from "enterprise", I'm guessing that's why I'm so "loyal". They picked me up at my house and got me into a beautiful and clean SUV. I told them there must have been a mistake because I payed for a smaller car. I rented on a Friday night, it was super busy. But you could the sense of urgency the staff had to make their customers happy. I booked a Chrysler 200 (never driven a buick). I've never rented a car that was freshly washed and dripping wet, nor one that had stains in the front seat, or a creaking driver door, and the check engine light on. I was told that I would probably be the last person driving the car before it was sold (which didn't ease my disdain). Had the car been in better condition, or had they simply elected not to rent it to anyone I would definitely rated this higher. On check-in service I would absolutely rate it a 4 read more

I have been a loyal customer for many years to this location and Enterprise in general. I travel frequently with my job and it requires that I rent a car several times a year. Lately, it has been several times a month. An unexpected meeting came up this morning for tomorrow so I made a reservation online. I called about an hour later to see if I can get someone to pick me up. The man on the phone said that since I waiting until the last minute to make the reservation, I had to wait my turn to get picked up which could be an hour or so. I called them close to the 2 hour mark to see if someone was going to pick me up and I was put on hold. Four different people answered the phone "yes" instead of asking "how may I help you" or even "have you been helped yet." The final person then told me that they weren't going to pick me up because they don't have any cars available but they'll let me know if that changes so someone can pick me up. I told them to cancel and I proceeded to call the Palmetto Bay Enterprise and the service was excellent. The manager said that even though my address was further than what they usually drive to, he was happy to make the exception. He also mentioned that there were plenty of cars and he could assign one to me right away. About an hour passes and I called just to see if everything was ok with the person that was supposed to pick me up. To my surprise, the Perrine Enterprise called Palmetto Bay Enterprise to tell them to NOT pick me up because they were going to send someone. So Palmetto Bay cancelled the request to pick me up because the manager at Perrine said so without even notifying me, the customer. The manager at Palmetto Bay couldn't even believe what he was hearing from Perrine office when saying that the driver's phone and GPS died and she didn't know where she was going to pick me up. Again, no notification. All of this started at 1:30PM and by this time it was 5:15PM. I call the Perrine Enterprise to see why they cancelled and what the the hold up was. The manager at Perrine told me that it was a rough day with problems with the cars and that someone would be on their way. She even said that she didn't cancel the reservation with Palmetto Bay. Excuses after excuses. I told her to cancel the reservation and I wanted to speak to her manager. She said she was "the" manager and instead of listening to me and what I had to say, she wanted to speak over me to try to make it seem like I was in the wrong. She offered to comp one day of the rental car but what about half of the day I have wasted just trying to get to an Enterprise? I told her my discontent and all she had to say was "well I don't know what to tell you." That's completely unacceptable. A few minutes later, I walk to my car and a van shows up and the person decides to honk their horn. I didn't know that calling someone or getting out of the car to ring a doorbell or say hello was out of the question. I told her that I cancelled my reservation since I had been waiting since 1:30PM, she rolls her eyes, and quickly calls the office to see what was going on. All the while, I'm getting in my car to leave for am appointment. I am extremely patient and even when my rental car last week from the Perrine office had a copy key so no alarm was available or auto lock for 3 days, I let that go. (And yes, I called to bring it up and the guy said that they had to give me the spare key because the previous customer lost the key and they didn't want to pay the dealer for a replica of the beeper, seriously). Moving on. I am a consultant and I would like to tell you that in serving customers, the main thing you should always focus on is listening to what your customer has to say. We don't want to hear your excuses when all you had to do was pick up the phone to give a status update. No details needed about the background drama going on in the office. You can either provide a service or let another office provide it. If you do not have cars, cannot pick someone up, then please do not stop someone else from the same company to help. If you cannot listen, find a solution, and train your employees to give excellent customer service regardless of whatever background noise is going on, you should remove yourself from any management position. Enterprise, I am extremely disappointed with my experience today and now have to drive my own car 400 miles because of your team's inability to provide the service that is promised. Enterprise will not pick you up. Enterprise will not treat you like family. Enterprise will not find solutions to any issue that may arise. read more

This has been the WORST rental experience ever. We rented a van for about 5 days and the in-store representative quoted us $118. A few days after the return of the vehicle, I noticed my credit card was charged $197. I called the store and the Enterprise Rep who answered said "the person standing in front of me has been waiting longer than you, so I'm placing you on hold". That was it. Just rude. 30 minutes later I was still on hold. I then realized the branch had actually closed 10 minutes into my hold. I hung up and called the Enterprise customer service number, only to be told that I "should have known vans aren't that cheap". The Rep also suggested that I must've "heard incorrectly". I told the Rep that it was only my 2nd time renting a vehicle & I was completely unaware of rental prices based on vehicle type. She proceeded to give me a breakdown (for the 3rd time) of my rental amount per day, tell me that in her entire career with Enterprise, she's NEVER witnessed a van rental for such a cheap rate and I would not be getting a refund. I decided to contact the branch at a later date. The manager realized that the Rep who gave me the cheap $118 rental quote, actually typed in the incorrect days for our trip. When we returned the van, the days were corrected and my credit card was charged the "correct price". Lucky for me, a refund was approved due to the error. HOWEVER, instead of telling me they mis-quoted me and a change was made in the system, the just took it upon themselves to charge my credit card more than I agreed to in the beginning. They keep the credit cards on file from the beginning so I couldn't prevent them from charging my account. Back to the refund--I called a few days later to verify the date and amount of the refund. I was told my refund would be processed "sometime next week" and it should amount to "75 something". I couldn't get a date or exact amount. At LEAST an amount. Seriously Enterprise?!! I then told the Rep that the credit card used for the rental had been lost, in which she informed me that the card number didn't matter, the money would still post to my account. I asked how long the refund would take to post after it had been submitted and her reply was "its automatic"....which was a lie. It took about 5-7 days. It gets better, they only refunded $35 instead of $75. They couldn't explain why....someone just decided on giving me 1/2 of my money back. ONE MONTH LATER, I've finally received a total $75 refund that was broken up into 2 transactions for a reason not explained to me. Natasha (the manager), this location has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. The staff is incompetent and rude. I'd rather drive 19 hours from TX to FL in my own car before using Enterprise again. read more
