I purchased a used vehicle long-distance from HGreg Nissan Miami for approximately $23,000, and it…read morewas by far the worst car-buying experience I've ever had. I strongly caution other buyers, especially those purchasing remotely. From the beginning, my salesman Steven Martinez was difficult to reach, requiring repeated follow-ups just to answer basic questions and close the sale. After escalating through dealership management and ultimately contacting executive leadership, Albert from corporate Risk Management became my escalation contact. His communication was frequently defensive and dismissive, and I never received a response from any other executive I contacted. What should have been the dealership's most straightforward transaction of the year - an out-of-state cash buyer - became an almost 2-month-long headache of back and forth and chasing various contacts for basic requests. Even the closing paperwork had to be revised three times because, after weeks of speaking with me, Steven still didn't know my name. After HGreg had my money, obtaining basic information became even harder. They refused to provide any transparency regarding shipping--no carrier information, tracking or reliable delivery date. They also repeatedly refused to provide an official bill of sale. This became a significant problem when I needed to file an insurance claim shortly after delivery and my insurer required proof of ownership. Even my insurance adjuster couldn't get HGreg's finance department to return her calls. The same happened with my Virginia title and registration. HGreg refused to provide proof that paperwork had been submitted, tracking information or even the identity of the third-party processor. My permanent registration finally arrived nearly two months after purchase. Worst of all, less than a week after delivery, a body molding completely fell off the vehicle. Underneath it, body shops discovered extensive evidence of previous repair: numerous non-factory holes drilled into the door, previous refinishing and evidence that the molding had been glued back on. Three body shops examined it, and I am now facing approximately $5,000 to replace the affected door. This is especially troubling because the CarFax reported structural damage, so I specifically questioned Steven about this before purchasing and was assured that the vehicle did not actually have structural damage and that this type of notation was standard for auction vehicles. I relied on that explanation. To be fair, I cannot prove what HGreg knew about the prior repair. However, all three body shops told me they would be very surprised if a dealership thoroughly inspecting this vehicle hadn't noticed evidence of it. I did hire a private inspector to inspect the vehicle prior to closing; however, that inspector's focus was on mechanical soundness and a visual overview of the vehicle's body. HGreg's response? I bought the vehicle "as-is." They refuse to discuss the repair further. I understand what "as-is" means; however, I purchased the vehicle based on what was represented to me about its condition. Had I known I know now, I never would have bought it. Between the terrible communication, lack of transparency, documentation problems and now a ~$5,000 repair, I deeply regret doing business with HGreg Nissan Miami and strongly recommend prospective buyers take their business elsewhere.

My fiancée initially contacted the dealership last week because he was interested in purchasing a new vehicle. Since he had visited them years ago, their system still contained both his and his ex-wife's information. When the dealership was unable to reach him, they called his ex-wife and disclosed that he had contacted them and was working on purchasing a vehicle with his fiancée. This should never have happened. Not only was it an invasion of his privacy, and mine, but it also created unnecessary personal conflict. After my fiancée contacted the dealership, he spoke with a female manager who apologized and assured us that his ex-wife's information would be removed from his account immediately. Wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt, we accepted the apology and visited the dealership on Monday, July 13, 2026, at their request to see if we could work out a deal. Unfortunately, we left without purchasing a vehicle. A few days later, however, the salesperson (Kevin) who had assisted us continued communicating with my fiancée in an effort to make a deal happen. Then I received an alert from Credit Karma notifying me that my credit had been pulled by Volkswagen of South Miami. This was shocking because I never authorized a credit inquiry, never signed a credit application, and never gave anyone permission to run my credit. I immediately verified the inquiry and confirmed it came from the dealership. My fiancée contacted the salesperson immediately to ask why my credit had been run without my authorization. He explained that this unauthorized inquiry had negatively impacted my credit score and requested an explanation and a resolution. Since then, we have received no response from the salesperson. Attempts to reach management have also been unsuccessful, with the general manager repeatedly being described as "busy." Between the disclosure of my fiancé's personal information to his ex-wife and what appears to have been an unauthorized credit inquiry on my credit report, our experience has been extremely disappointing. We expected professionalism, respect for customer privacy, and proper authorization before any credit activity occurred. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Volkswagen of South Miami. We hope the dealership takes customer privacy and authorization procedures much more seriously so that other consumers do not experience what we did.

They seem to be running a scam as a family unit. Paul sold me a vehicle on 7/31 with various issues to include a faulty transmission that I specifically asked him about because I was concerned about purchasing a brand that is known for transmission issues. He lied and told me there was nothing to worry about in that regard as his girlfriend had the same type of vehicle for years with no known issues. After purchasing I did not drive the car around a lot as I was planning on a long road trip. Note 3hrs into my trip on open highway the car stopped working and left me stranded on the highway hours away from home which placed me in danger on the road. Once stranded I called and texted him for assistance with no answer. He then responded later that night downplaying and even laughed at what I mentioned happened to me and refused any type of refund.

I finally arrived and waited 5 minutes for someone to come greet me as they do in Braman Honda and no help... I got out of my car and asked an employee on the side of the building and he redirected me inside to get someone to help me. I was standing there for 2 minutes and an employee comes up to me and tells me that I should be outside because if not they won't know who is next in line. I politely tell him that an employee told me to come inside the building and he rudely tells me to go stand next to my car. When I am finally next to my car.... He tells me that they are currently 3 hours behind for customers with appointments so without appts it's going to be longer than that. No intention of me staying at all. I told him I was leaving especially after the rude service. Employees should be more interact to customers and make sure they are probably attended to. I drove 30 mins away to Braman Honda and oil change was done in an 1 1/2 hrs WITHOUT an appt. I will not be back at south motors Honda and reccomend everyone to drive a little further and go to a dealer that has friendlier staff and lower wait times.
