A year ago someone hit my car and their insurance company paying for my rental car wile my car is at the shop. So Riverwsood Claims Management (insurance) set up with schedule pickup car everything etc. And this company ask me before I can take the rental car I have to pay out of my pocket for $50 deposit just in case I damage their car. And they will give it back when I drop the car off. Which I did get my money back. A year later, they charged me $229 without telling me anything. I thought my card was stolen so I went back to this rental place. The front desk lady said because the insurance didn't pay so they have to charge me. Isn't they should talk to that insurance company? Instead, they keep my credit card information in their system for whole year and charge me without letting me know. read more

Terrible customer service- Five days after making an reservation I was notified the night before pick-up that no cars were available. It was suggested I reschedule my travel arrangements to the next week. Apparently "RESERVATION" is just an idea that has no real meaning in their world and customer service is optional. read more

Never renting a car form them AGAIN! Rented a car solely to get to the airport for an early morning flight so my husband who's stationed near by didn't have to bring me to the Kansas City Airport for an early morning flight. Marked the damage to the front bumper on the rental agreement with the enterprise employee and they sent me a damage claim 7 days later, saying I damaged the front bumper. Absolutely NOT. Also, conveniently for them, they cant find my rental agreement at this time.. GOOD THING I KEEP MINE. Emailed it to them ASAP. Never renting from them or any Enterprise again. I will not be accused of damaging a car that was already damaged. Avoid this place at all cost! read more

Here's an update- I went to corporate and sent and email. They said usually the individual store give a refund or partial credit and I should contact the enterprise manager at the counter In the airport in Kansas. For my trouble I was offered from corporate one free day car rental from enterprise. A slap in the face compared to the shorty service provided. I messaged the counter and never got a response. There's other company counters in the airport. I recommend going to one of them! I will tell everyone! I reserved a car online to be picked up on April 29th. We flew overnight and when we got there we were told they only had a suburban left. Wayyy to big for me so they said they'd give me a smaller car but it wasn't clean and they'd give me a savings. I was tired so I took it. We started on our journey to go visit family in Sioux Falls SD. Within an hour the CHECK ENGINE light came on. We called and after not being able to get through to one specific person we were told we could only go to the Omaha airport enterprise to exchange the car. They would not call ahead for us or even give us a direct number to call. When we got to Omaha they were nice but told us they only had a mini van. They suggested take the mini van to prevent from breaking down on road and go to LINCOLN AIRPORT to exchange for smaller car. OMG we have been flying all night! We go to Lincoln and exchange car losing a few extra hours of our life because the right car wasn't reserved for us in the first place and the car we got was cruddy. I got the bill today and NO... A superior experience. I was very pleased that every one of my requests was easily satisfied, and when my check in and check out occurred it was very easy. I showed up looking for a specific car for an indefinite period of time during and after one of the busiest renting weekends of the entire year. Boom. It was a VIP experience. I believe this office is superbly managed. I suggest this office is examined for training curriculum development: whatever they are doing, they are doing it right. This is an extremely demanding microcosm of the world to achieve a glowing 5-star review from me but this office earned it. read more

Amazing service! Good rates for a rental with unlimited miles! It really makes life easier knowing that when you are in need of a rental that the service you will receive is top-notch, making things less of an emergency. They do have a lot of rules regarding the ability to rent, but the staff made these very clear up front (days early) so that there were no surprises on the rental day. If possible it is best to reserve your car in advance so that the car you need is available. We rented a truck to pick up furniture. It was so much cheaper than renting a U-Haul and having to pay almost $1 a mile! We will always choose enterprise! read more

The worst customer service. While receiving the car my fiancé and I were looking at the car and I pointed out a dent on the front bumper on the passengers side. I asked her if they had that noted before I took the car and she told me not to worry about it because they were already aware of the dent. When I returned the car today she claimed that she "did not remember". I told the manager that i am sorry but I am not going to pay for damage that was already there when I got the car." She raised her voice and said "you will do what I tell you to do." I got defensive because she was yelling at me and she threatened to call the cops. She threatened to keep my deposit and charge my card for the full damage. I don't think this is fair because I pointed out the dent to the employee and she told me not to worry about it. Also, I know what it looks like when someone is on drugs and that woman was on something. I don't know if Enterprise drug tests their employees but I strongly feel like she should be drug tested. Called ahead to coordinate a late pick up at the airport location. The attendant said that they would wait for our flight which was scheduled to land at 10:20, 20 minutes after they closed. We figured we would pick the car up around 10:30. Got to the desk at 10:40 and no one was there. Manhattan airport isn't exactly bustling and our coworkers who met us there saw people at the desk so they would have had to left after we landed (landed at 10:25). Luckily we bummed a ride with our coworkers; had they not been there then it would have been a 45+ minute wait for a cab that has access to Ft Riley and then another cab ride back tomorrow to pick up the car. read more

I was quoted one price and was given another close to $30 higher when I checked out. I am in the military and was not told to book through USAA to waive the under age driver fee so that was also racked onto the price. The gentlemen working their conveniently didn't tell me that if I booked with USAA it would be waived and told me enterprise had ceased to waive this fee in any form. I have no trust in this location, was charged a completely different price than I was quoted. Overall a terrible experience, hopefully nobody else gets robbed by these rental car bandits. read more

As always, to be fair, I will start by highlighting the positive experiences I had with Enterprise in Manhattan. I originally attempted to rent from the branch office at the airport, but apparently nobody works there, so I called the Manhattan branch. After a few minutes I was personally escorted back to my residence to be later picked up again and given a car at their branch. I am grateful for this accommodation, particularly because the employee was under no obligation to do this for me. But I must comment on the off-putting experience I had following that. Before divulging the details, I will say that I filed a complaint and was subsequently (within a day) very professionally and respectfully addressed by a manager there. This manager obviously values customers and wishes to retain their business. However, it is a shame that such grandiose efforts and superior management can be undermined by a seemingly unnecessary policy and a less-than-desirable presentation of that policy. Though my conversation with the management left me feeling satisfied to say the least, the policy still remains instated, which is why I feel compelled to write about the issue. And that brings me to my qualm. This branch (and possibly others) stipulates that military service members - a demographic I belong to - attempting to pay with a debit card reveal extensive details of their professional lives to ensure their integrity. I was presented with a form asking for details including my 'first line supervisor' along with his/her name and phone number, my commanding officer's name and phone number, my work address and two references along with their information. It was almost as if they were threatening to hunt me down and coerce me into delivering payment if I failed to. This is a policy that is obviously a result of poor experiences the branch has had with service members in the past. But I have several issues with this. The first is that any organization offering such services has no right whatsoever, in my opinion, to demand information pertinent to their customers' professional lives before providing the service. Even worse, however, is the seemingly stereotypical perspective taken towards service members, wherein the insinuation is that our status automatically makes us less trustworthy customers. I am a customer just like anybody else, and I expect to be treated with the same dignity. Moreover, I am not a representation of the other customers - military or not - who have failed to fulfill their contractual obligations. And to top it all off, since they seem to be unaware of this, commissioned officers - which I also am - do not have 'first line supervisors'; only junior enlisted Soldiers have these. This brings me to the presentation portion of it all. Upon inquiring about why I was being required to provide such information, the response was along the lines of the following: "This is in case you decide you like the car too much and that you aren't going to pay us". When I attempted to turn in the form with the 'first line supervisor' left blank, I was again urged to fill it out, which forced me to explain the reasoning behind leaving it blank. In short, I left feeling very disrespected. But, as I stated earlier, the management was very quick to rectify the issue. I will again express my gratitude for their professionalism and respect. The policy still remains in effect, however, and this is my sole reason for writing about it here. I am certain the average, credit card-paying customer will have an outstanding experience here. I just hope that treatment will someday extend to every customer regardless of payment method or occupation. read more

I'm moving and looking to rent a larger SUV or van in Kansas and return to Arizona. Checked rates online and spoke with an agent. The rates are between $850 to 900 for 2 to 3 days. Over $400 of that was just for returning to a different state. It costs literally the same price for me to rent a U-Haul truck and Id get 3X as much space. Ridiculous. read more

For everyone who would like to rent a car from enterprise, I have a very bad experience which I would like to share. I had planned an exciting trip to chicago and back in 2 days. But I suffered a flat tire on my way back at hannibal, MO. So I decided to call up road side assistance and then my bad time started. The people @ Enterprise road-side assistance are very unclear about the instructions and directions. I asked them for a location to get my tire fixed which they were not able to figure out. Later upon their suggestion, I decided to get the tire fixed at a firestone. Upon that they even told me (oral assurance) that I will not be charged for a day as i am trying to get the car fixed to get it running on interstate. The instructions from which I had to choose from costed me about $100 more than it was suppose to be. So I learnt that the cost to get a flat tire fixed with help of Enterprise is about $100. I still feel I must have drove the car for 150 miles on the spare tire to get a new tire from firestone and then return it back to enterprise within the time limit. I should have drove the rented car and should let it have a few damages as I took a full body insurance too. So from above experience, what I have learnt: Enterprise Rent a Car and Enterprise Road side assistance are two different entity of the same organization and they never co-ordinate with each other. If you have any issue, it will be better spend your time calling both Enterprise location manager and Enterprise Road side assistance ( Thank you melissa for the assistance, reachable 1-800-307-6666 at extension 68797) for clarifications and coordination between the them and still you will end up spending more when you return the rented car the next day. I have rented from the Stagg Hill location numerous times over the last two years and have had exceptional service from Mardie. She has gone above and beyond to make sure my rental needs have been met. I just rented a vehicle last weekend and upon returning the vehicle I mentioned that whomever detailed the vehicle did a poor job as it was pretty rough on the inside when I picked it up. I only mentioned the poor detailing as the next customer may not be as understanding as I am. An adjustment was made on my final bill which I appreciated. I will use their services again and appreciate the extra effort Mardie has put forth to make sure I have a good customer experience. read more

I want to give a shout out to this office and the most pleasant service I experienced yesterday, 8/18/16. I had a flight booked in Kansas City and had registered to take a shuttle ride from another company from Manhattan, KS to Kansas City. The shuttle company did not show up to pick me up. After waiting for 45 minutes and realizing I needed to rent a car and drive myself I walked across a busy street, lugging my luggage, to rent a car from Enterprise. Unfortunately Enterprise was totally booked and I was very pressed for time. I did find a car available at a competitor and to my amazement the Enterprise employees (who were kind and empathetic) insisted their driver give me a ride to the competitor's location! The driver insisted on loading and unloading my luggage and was so very nice. After all the steps I had to go through to get to the KC airport, if the Enterprise employees had not helped me get to the other rental car company I would not have made my flight. I literally had minutes to spare. I want to express my sincere thanks and hope you four read this and that your management does too! read more

My experience is currently ongoing. The car was filthy when I picked it up. It was all they had available in a car for my price. I was in a hurry to her back to work so I accepted it. Upon turning on the car I see it is at 0% oil life, so it's beyond the need for an oil change. I feel like this is unacceptable. A car should be clean and serviced when it is given out. It is a nice car but it would be much better if it was clean and serviced. read more

Beware of this company! They are not open on Sundays, so I dropped off the rental car and placed the keys in the lock box. The next afternoon, I got a call claiming that the car had been wrecked overnight and that I was responsible for the damage. The space I parked the car in would have been impossible to damage the way the pictures showed. They charged me for damage to both sides of the vehicle, even though the pictures showed no damage to one side at all. The other side looked like they hit another car with the bumper when moving it the next day. I will never use this company again, no matter what location it is at! If they could get no stars, they would simply because I believe they charged me for damage their own employee did based on the fact that the bumper would have had to sideswipe another car in order to have the damage shown. There was no way another car could have done it. This location has no security cameras on their lot, so they can charge their customers for their own faults. read more
