I walk into the desk clerk on FaceTime with her family picking…read moreout Christmas gifts and talking to the costumer in front of us about alcohol and restaurants or where to eat for new years instead of actually working! Some people cannot keep side conversations and non-work conversations outside of other people's times. Unprofessional and seriously frustrated. She also mentioned my husband is my father, he's a couple years older than me and there is no way he could have a 27 yr old. Commenting about how it sucks to ask men for stuff which I shrugged off because it seemed like she was extremly bitter about not having someone in her life. On top of that, she charged me 700$ for insurance she told us was 300$ three times when asked how much it was! She commented we were there still there at 5:09 but she wasn't giving us the keys because she was screaming in the back at someone and we could hear it from the office. Her name is Alexis Chiers. She called me from her number and told me my rental is ready yet when I got there she acted as if she never called me and as if my husband wasn't there three times already. If this is a manager trainee I wonder who the actual manager is! I have video of everything that was going on and I'm going to corporate about this.

So there I was; in need of a car for an emergency trip to the coast due to more antics from my ex…read morewho decided to kidnap my kids (I no longer fly). I was talking business with a salesman who was promising to address some of the cars glaring issues; mostly missing parts, and call me when the car was ready upon which I would pay cash and drive away. It felt good so far as I learned the owner happened to be a fellow alumni. I was confident the asking price; about three times the NADA, would be negotiated to something acceptable. Upon receiving the phone call informing me the parts were in I headed to the dealership to close the deal. This is when things began to go south. Only one of the parts was ordered, along with a couple decals. The salesman could not be found and I was referred to the husband of the owner. Becoming aware of his intention to stonewall any negotiation I tried an appeal to logic. "Your firm price is three times the value" I said. "Do you purchase cars from the auction only to lose money immediately?" Caught by surprise he answered "yes." I find that answer utterly disgusting. Such ignorance should have sent me running. However, I was on a time hack and needed to keep moving. As it happens, I bought the car. My bad. Not only did I pay more than double the value for the car; thousands in ignored maintenance soon emerged from beneath the veil and my buyers remorse was intensified. Did the T-shirt and shorts guy rip me off intentionally? Perhaps. Was he simply ignorant? For sure. Was it a little of both? Probably. I tried to rationalize and give them the benefit of the doubt. When that failed I...still tell my self "they needed the money more than I." I'm obviously seeking to heal. However, it sure would be nice for us all; even the uneducated, to know what "good business" really is, and to know what Customer relationship management is, and how it sustains a business. It would have been nice to be recognized as someone, if treated fairly, would have returned for another purchase. I always pay cash for cars; making me a likely return customer in the future. NOT!
