Rude and unprofessional. We ran a little late (45 minutes), so our car was given up. No call, no text, no nothing to inform us this. Blame placed entirely on us and were told we cannot get any cars here and to go to another location. Of course they can't help with booking something elsewhere. Will never use enterprise again. They want to charge you extra fees and taxes above what your insurance is paying them for a loaner. Make sure you get this information up front before getting a car from them. I went on vacation to Florida on September 14,2021. Called Enterprise to rent a vehicle for 3 days as I had family I wanted to see. The representative I spoke to said no problem. Pick up tomorrow at Sun City Center location, they took all my info so I thought great no problem. Within an hour I received a call back from the Sun City Center location stating they had no cars available and would call me back when 1 came in the following day. I was there for 1 week and never received a call. I think corporate office should be well informed of if cars are available or not. In my opinion very bad communication going on between Corporate office and there locations. I will never even consider Enterprise again. read more

This correspondence is an effort to get requested pictures of the car in question at the time of rental. They were originally requested on April 8th, 2022, the request was obviously ignored. The pictures of the supposed damage at the time of the return are exactly the same as the pictures at the time of rental. The paint chips on the bumper are obviously not new damage and again, the car was driven off the lot in the same condition as the pictures provided at the time of return. The absolute worst Enterprise rental location in the area. Their cars are never clean, but the worst part is that their cars always smell like smoke and marijuana. This last car we received smelled like a febreeze bomb went off in it with just the slightest hint of weed. Just one day later and the car now smells like it was used to transport many loads of weed. Enterprise acts like it is a nationwide company, but it isn't. It is an umbrella name for a group of rental companies that are unrelated. If you have an issue with one of their cars, they can't fix it unless you are near the one from which you rented, as they are all independent. One way rental? Forget that, too. Flat tire? They don't even know who can fix it in the area you're in (unless you are next door to the one from which you rented), and it takes them an average of four hours (no, that isn't a typo) to get a tire repaired. My experience with Enterprise was excellent. The customer service team did a great job keeping me happy. Dominic and Tessa at Enterprise did a great job informing me and going over the details of the car rental. The prices are very fair and reasonable. Enterprise has the convenient service of picking you up and dropping you off at your home. This convenient service is only provided through Enterprise. The other car rental companies do not provide this service which in my opinion is a huge part of the convenience of renting a vehicle. So let me start out by saying i rent vehicles from enterprise. Very frequently and this last time i rented from them was march 23rd to the 30th and i have never experienced the problem i had this last time through i was driving out of state and i was in Tennessee and i got a flat tire at 1:20 in good morning I called road side assistance through Enterprise and they told me there was a tow truck on their way tell me an hour so wait an hour no truck no tow truck remember I'm in a city I don't know estate I don't know and I was 20 minutes away from my hotel Enterprise roadside assistance told me not to leave the vehicle basically do not abandon the vehicle they cared more about the safety of the vehicle then they cared about my safety when I called back again saying that the tow truck never showed up they told me will it still says an hour so instead of 259 a.m. is 359 a.m. so I wait another hour I'm a little agitated at this point sitting here by myself in a parking lot at gas station that was closed at the time so wait another hour still no AAA or whoever they called for towing the car call back hi I'm trying to figure out where's the tow truck I'm sitting here by myself and the city I don't know I really don't know what to do like I can't go you told me not to go back to my hotel basically because y'all don't want the car abandoned when I'm a single female sitting in a vehicle not even knowing if I'm in a nice neighborhood they told me it's a tell me now 90 minutes then they even did the urgently 90 minutes became two more hours I sat there for about seven and a half hours and the only thing that they gave me was a free day they felt that me sitting there for 7 hours was worth $50 basically most likely I will not be renting from them ever again they didn't even have a spare tire in the trunk I feel that if anyone decides to rent from them make sure you checked their spare tire or some type of insulation kit or whatever they want to call it it's not worth it and they went up on their deposits now to so if you can rent from someone else read more

I had a insurance claim for repairs to my vehicle and Enterprise is the company assigned. I contacted my insurance carrier, informed vehicle repaired and ready for pick up. Vehicle never picked up from my residence, called Ferndale location talked to Ken and explained scenario, request pick up of vehicle at my residence and no charges be applied as if July 19, 2020. Ken responses with, Do you have someone who lives with you? To drop off car? I was taken aback, I responded No. I attempted to explain my circumstance, working from home, I Never got a chance to explain, I was cut off and advised someone will pick up vehicle and hung up. No, Thank you for using Enterprise? Nothing. I called back request to speak with manager, make in said, I am manager, Kyle. I explained my dissatisfaction and unprofessional Ken was. Kyle the Managers response, I was sitting next to him, Ken wasn't rude. I immediately, request phone number, address to regional to file a formal complaint. He said it Doesn't Matter All complaints come through me anyway. I asked again for Corporate phone number and a contact person/email, gave me information. I did MY research. Enterprise is owned by Vanguard Automotive Group and CEO, Chrissy Taylor & Andrew Taylor which I have also sent a formal complaint via social media! It was a horrible experience with the car rental. I understand how cars could experience malfunction along the way, but if the follow-up customer service wants to call and make excuses and accuse us for being the ones to blame, then don't bother calling us!! We were driving from Michigan to Washington DC. And when my mom and I got to midway in Pennsylvania, the "low tire pressure" light lit up. We stopped at every service plaza on the way, trying to pump the tire, but the light still won't go away. The lady on the phone, following up with our experience with Enterprise, accused us for running over road hazards or a nail. Lady, if there's a hole in the tire, we won't be able to drive the car along the way without having a complete flat tire! The tire looked ok, but the warning light lit up with no warning. We called road side service, but they want us to just drive to the nearest enterprise rental, which closes in an hour. So we decided to just drive to our destination and switch to a new car at the airport. Since I have to be in DC for a workshop at Georgetown University, we were kind of in a hurry. What's more, more issues came up not long after the low tire pressure signal. The dashboard light went off when it got dark! So did the head lights! When we got to the mountain area, there's only a one-way street highway! We can't see anything, nor could we stop, because cars are running towards us on the opposite lane, and we only have a narrow lane on the mountain side. We had to follow cars in front of us to get off that mountain. Enterprise at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport was kind enough to switch us to a different car. People at the enterprise were nice, and didn't give us too much hard time. But the major disappointment was sending a lady that didn't think they did anything wrong. "I am sure you experience malfunction with your own vehicle" she said. No lady! my 2004 Honda haven't given me crap for 10 years. My brother took the car for work in another city, that's the only reason we had to rent your 2014 Volkswagen, and already giving us crap. Maybe the car wants to stay in the DC area, but your attitude lady, is getting you nowhere! "Well, I hope you could give us another chance" after accusing us of the malfunction of the car. "No chance in hell, lady. Not with that attitude!" while listening to her long long excuses, I was running these thoughts in my head. "I just want to make sure the "customer service" is alright." explained the lady. "Humm no matter how good your people are, if the car is gonna risk our safety, I would have to kindly decline." Horrible experience!!I rented the vehicle for a trip, I babied the vehicle, I cleaned the vehicle before taking back. I was informed I could drop the vehicle off at the Lansing location because I couldn't make it to brighten. I was told there are cameras to inform the time and safety of vehicle while they were closed until Monday. Ok so Monday comes and I get a call that the van had been damaged with dents on the roof and both doors and that they will be filing a claim for my insurance. THE VAN WAS PERFECT WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF! So I asked to see pictures video or the vehicle in which I was denied all 3. They then charged my card on file $200 dollars and kept my $300 deposit and said that was the start of the claim. I am being accused of something I didn't do, I've heard of many other stories like this since posting on my fb. They are complete crooks and I am now the victim. I called to speak to somebody higher and was told they will reach out to me so now I wait. I'm so hurt and pissed completely off. read more

I've been a long time customer of enterprise, renting three weekends out of the month every month that I've rented there. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and provide excellent customer service. My only problem is that this last time I rented, the price was different than what they've ever charged me before. When I inquired with the manager, I was told that the prices changed daily. Although I understood this, I also was not thrilled about it. I always book my rentals online so I expect to pay the amount that I booked keeping in mind, of course, that the online prices have yet to factor in taxes, fees, etc. My rates have stayed consistent up until this last rental and with having been such a regular customer, I am pretty aware of the price ranges per vehicle. Outside of this, I have not experienced such great customer service as I have at this enterprise. Although he no longer works at this branch, Steven was my favorite Enterprise staff member. He was the first person I ever dealt with at Enterprise and made me feel very comfortable. read more

Short version: They raised the rate to 2.5 times the rate of my online reservation when I went to pick up the rental car today 12/31/2016. Long version: I made my reservation via their official website http://www.enterprise.com today 12/31/2016 and got confirmation on the website and also received an email about the reservation. However, when I went to pick up the rental car at this location, the employee told me that the rate on my reservation was "unavailable" and they had to charge me at a rate that is 2.5 times the rate I received. Raising the price on the spot to 250% of the one on the reservation like this is not the correct way to do business. read more

Almost no wait, counter staff was friendly, the lady quickly did the paperwork for the car I had reserved online, then accompanied me outside to the car where we checked for any damage and got me settled into the drivers seat. I walked in and told him I wanted to renew the contract (had car for 30days) at Mich.Ave. branch because the Saginaw branch was too far from my job. Steven: Well its 10min from here. Okay you can't sign here you have to go to the Saginaw Road Branch in Lansing. Me: I don't think i can make it on time. I talked to Lauren from the Saginaw branch she said I can sign here. Steve: you are lucky I even checked the system you would be stranded out here. Me: I will call the Saginaw branch Him: or you can go there. Me: walk out and sit in rental to make the call. No answer. Walk back in tell Steven no one is answering. Can I just leave the rental there Steve: No. you have to call Saginaw and ask if you can. Me: walks out to call Saginaw. Lauren answers and said she will talk to steven about me getting to sign the contract to use the car. Lauren says to me Steven will come outside to help me. Steve approaches car. Yea you will need a major credit card. Me: I used a debit card before. Steve: I tried to explain to you and Lauren may not have told you. Me: I will just return the car then. its not good customer service at this branch like in Saginaw. Steven: I tried to tell you. Me: It was not nice that you said you could've left me stranded and I got lucky. the gas is halfway do I need to fill it. Steven: I'll take care of it. Angrily says: Just give me the key (walks away and says something - sounded like he cursed). Me: Calls Lauren from Saginaw branch and tell her steves behavior. I also told her I left the gas half and he took the key so I could not put more gas. Lauren says that's fine i will take care of it. I then get my bag out of the car and call my ride. I walk back into the branch and see Steven standing with a co-worker. I ask the co-worker how can I leave a review. the co-worker says i don't know. Steve interrupts and says you can leave one on car rental.com. Have a great day. Me: You too (smiles) and leave. I saw another co-worker outside and asked him how I can leave a review and he told me. Long story short, I got my ride home and will be renting from another company. this is my first bad experience with enterprise. I paid over $400 for the car for 2weeks. And I have a family member that works at enterprise. Steve clearly doesn't like his job either that or he is lazy. Lauren had to call him. Why didn't Steve offer to call for me or explain the process. Steven is LAZY!! And it wasn't busy so I could not understand why he was so lazy. He wanted me to leave and kept saying Saginaw is close by or you can call them yourself. WOW!! I hope his manager reads this and talk to him about changing his attitude in the future. Steven is lucky I don't get angry fast or curse. Plus I am a professional. I hope the next customer is just as rude as Steven is. The minute you walk in the door you're greeted by someone even if there's a room full of people. If you have to wait there's always water and a place to sit. I have rented a car from Enterprise twice with no issues but the past four times I have tried I have been met with problems after problems with the company not even attempting to help or give me other options than, sorry you are out of luck. Each time I have made a reservation to only get a phone call or an email later telling me they actually don't have the car I reserved and there is nothing they can do. I had to move out of my apartment so I decided to try and Rent a car but was told the day I was supposed to pick it up it isn't available and one rep wanted to work something out with me but then when I called back a different rep was dismissive and told me nothing was going to really work for me anyways. I have tried my last rental with them and I will never rent a car from them again. I will give them 2 stars for the 2/6 tries I was actually able to get into a car. If you want to try them don't trust the 'reservations' they mean nothing! read more

My initial reservation was set for 7 days, but due to lack of communication between us, I ended up having to come in the next day for my reservation. Normally they would call before your reservation about any information you need before coming in, but I did not receive any call. I had calculated exactly how much I needed to cover the costs, but was unaware of a security deposit that ultimately go over budget by a few dollars. I asked if I could combine credit cards, but theysaid they could not do that. I had a friend drop me off because I was expecting to drive off in a rental car. Luckily they had a drop off and pick up service or else I had to taxi back home. Next day, things were a lot smoother. We checked out the vehicle for any damages and there were a few. She marked off what she needed and I was off with the rental. Overall, the car ran perfect. It was the customer service that really affected this review. I know they tried their best to accommodate, but for the most part, they needed to inform me. I understand it can get busy which is why I'm not too upset about the whole ordeal. The return was easy, but she was confused and I ended up getting less of my deposit back then what was originally explained. I was at a point where I no longer really cared. I wish I could give this company a zero rather than one star. I reserved a car with the Lansing Airport location weeks before I needed it. Before leaving, I called my state license center because my updated license card hadn't arrived yet (it had been two months but had not been processed yet due to system delays with the state) and was told to provide my license and renewal sheet which was proof that I have a valid license. If there were any questions, I was to call the DMV in my state with the rental folks on the line and they would confirm my valid license. Simple. Upon arrival, I presented by driver's license and renewal sheet. The clerk told me that my license wasn't valid (even though it was) and told me that even if I called my state DMV with them on the line they would not rent me a car. I guess the guy at the rental place gets to decide what constitutes a valid license. He was absolutely snippy and treated me like dirt. I will NEVER, EVER rent from Enterprise. Fortunately I was able to get a car from another company but ended up paying a lot more because they were low on cars by that time. Well good morning, I actually got off to a very rocky start, I have been renting from enterprise since my daughter was 6 years old and now she is 28. I have always had excellent service until I now found out because using a debit card instead of credit card I have to leave an additional fee, which is no problem if you have all of this extra cash at the time. My rental experiences of a vehicle is always an emergency situation and that may not always be a great time for extra money. The manager at the store, allowed me to continue on with my reservation and I really appreciate the service. On the original vehicle, the tire blew out, I was given excellent road side service, directed to the nearest enterprise. A vehicle was waiting for me, and the agent was very nice, with care and concern. Upon my return the management deleted a days rental which was very considerate and I appreciate the care and concern. I will continue to rent from enterprise and recommend this location to others, don't let me down gents. Thanks SN read more
