The process was pretty much a breeze since the Geico claims adjuster made all the appts for me. The gentleman who helped me- I didn't get his name, was helpful, attentive & enthusiastic- him: "let's go car shopping!" Lol. There were only 2 choices- a white Toyota Corolla that looks like it's seen better days or a gray Chevy Malibu with TN plate. I went with that one because it's in better condition plus bigger- drove it for 10 days & it did not disappoint. They also picked up the rental from the body shop. Unexpected Charge After Returning Rental - No Apology I picked up a rental car from this location on March 31, and the gas tank was half full. I was told to return it with the same level of gas. On April 10, I returned the car to Don Joe Auto Repair, where my own car was being serviced, with more than half a tank of gas. Then, 19 days later, on April 29, I was surprised to see a $28.95 charge on my credit card from this store. I called on April 30 to ask about the charge and was told it was for prepaid gas. I explained that I returned the car with more gas than when I received it. The man I spoke to simply said, "I'll refund it to you," and told me the refund would take a few days to appear on my credit card. No apology was offered. If my credit card company hadn't notified me about the charge, I wouldn't have known it even happened. I hope this is an isolated mistake and not something they routinely do to other customers. read more

I was so impressed by the two gentlemen that were working that day They were the most professional people I have ever delt with ,I wish I had their names . The most horrible rude customers I had ever seen came in to switch some car they had to another , arrogent and condesending to both employees. However those horrible customers did not get the reaction that I may have given,, the agents remained calm and polite and explaind multiple times why they could not get the same price for a larger vehicle . Rented a car from Enterprise Great Neck while my car was being repaired for collision damage. The car was ready today and I tried calling Enterprise to arrange a drop off at the body shop after I dropped off the car. The body shop is 3 minutes away. I called Enterprise at 1:30, 3:00, 4:00 and 4:30 and no one picked up. I left 4 messages and no one ever returned my calls! Horrible customer service. I rented a car a couple of months ago for our two week east coast trip on line from this enterprise. We get there and they say oh your car is 5 miles away. We go to that place and the manager was ready for us handed me the Mitsubishi keys and said goodbye. The car was dirty, smelled badly and was TINY. I asked for a different car. No. Why was it dirty? I don't know he said, it was vacuumed. It is not in great shape - It is unpleasant to get into and it feels unsafe. The a/c is not cold and honestly it's like flinstone car. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. POOR LEADERSHIP. After two recent visits in the last month, I can confidently say the customer service at enterprise rent a car Great Neck is lacking. I do not recommend enterprise, specifically their Great Neck Northern Blvd. location.) My initial visit this month, I booked a compact car at the Roslyn location. After accidentally arriving at the Great Neck location, Mike, the assistant branch manager, informed me I was at the wrong location. I asked him if he could accommodate my request for a compact car. He informed me there were no compact cars available, and that I would need to pay for an upgraded suv. I understood, and asked if he could offer a ride to the Roslyn location. He stated that they cannot offer rides to Roslyn as it is outside their radius. I proceeded to book a new reservation in the Great Neck location only to end up finding out there was a compact car available, right outside the store front. Mike claimed he just "remembered" it was available. On a more disappointing second visit, Ashley (the branch manager), would not proceed with my booking until I showed her proof of employment. I explained that I continuously rent cars for my work, and that I have shown proof of employment in the past. She insisted. She spoke in a demeaning manner, questioning why I do not have my badge on me, or any work related material on my personal phone. Ashley requested I go back to my house and bring something back to show her. Enterprise agreed to take me to my home in Roslyn ( I thought they don't drive to Roslyn?), and I wasted an additional 30 minutes getting her the requested documentation. After helping me in the car, I informed Ashely that the experience has been negative. Ashley borderline slammed the the car door. She is not fit for her role. I don't understand how you run a business with barely no employees. I had a reservation confirmed and when I got here there were about 5 people waiting ahead of me. The phones were ringing off the hook. We were not even greeted until 15mins later. One of the employees just came inside to grab something said hello and walk right back outside. The car I rented from the Great Neck office was a dirty, filthy and stained. When I complained about the cleanliness of the car I was told that it was within their standards. They have very low standards of cleanliness in these time of a pandemic when their website says how clean their vehicles are. Here to rent car while my car being worked on nearby. Insurance company paying for repair said they pay for rental while car being repaired. The VP of customer care told me this personally. I get to the office and I explain to a manager named Joe that the insurance company will pay for the rental and could they please take the information and call them to verify what I said. He said no. I have to call them again and set it up. He even refused to take the insurance information until I said I would be paying out of pocket anyway till they confirmed the insurance company will pay for the rental. He then grudgingly took my card for the insurance and gave it back to me. That's what I call customer service. Like it would have killed him to make a phone call so his company could get paid. And provide a busy customer some assistance. He made some lame excuse that if they called the insurance company the company would feel they are trying to gouge them monetarily. I called for pick-up on a Saturday and was informed that it would be 1.5 hour wait time for pick-up. Ended up taking a cab. Upon arrival I had to wait over 1 hour for my car, which was reserved for 9AM pick-up. Only 2 people were working on a Saturday morning, one of which appeared to be an intern/trainee who was clearly over their head, and over 7 people waiting to pick-up cars. Awful service and finally upon finally getting my vehicle, it was filthy both inside and out. The management team of Dan and Jordan are simply terrific and their staff is enthusiastic, efficient and friendly. My car rentals have always been clean, gassed and on time as promised. Just recently I had to rent cars from them with very short notice (actually the same day!) twice in a 10 day period. Not only were they able to provide with with the vehicle of my choice both times (small SUV), but they were able to give me a choice of vehicles both times. While everyone was courteous and very helpful, I must commend two people. Manager Nick was everything you could ask for in his ability to run an excellent service business, professional, courteous, and very helpful. The same can be said for Valencia, who took the time to make sure I got the vehicle that I wanted quickly, efficiently, and always with a smile.
