I reserved a mini van in JULY to accommodate my family of 6 for a christmas vacation on December 24. My reservation was for 5:30pm pick-up. I had 3 reminders for my upcoming reservation stating pickup time was 5:30pm. When I arrived at 5pm to pick up my vehicle they were closed and I noticed there was no minivan on site. A sign on the door said they closed at 3pm for Christmas Eve, but no one called to inform me of this or I would have come earlier. I made a complaint with customer service and was told someone would call me back, I delay our vacation 2 days & plan to pick my mini van on December 26th. I called the Grandview store at 7:30am and kindly explained the situation. I was put on hold for 42 minutes before I hung up and started to look for other rental vehicles in the area because at this point I was nervous that I would have to cancel our non-refundable trip. I was able to book another min van in the area by 9am for an afternoon pickup. But by 2pm I was called by that store and told they did not have a vehicle to accommodate me and that no one in the KC area had anything either. I was not able to secure a rental vehicle to drive to our vacation destination because I relied on and trusted Enterprise. My family was very disappointed. It is now December 31st and I have not heard back from anyone in customer service as I was told I would when I made the initial complaint. I have used Enterprise exclusively for all business and leisure travels for years. I will now find a new car rental service to use in the future. read more

I had a AAA claim and my adjustor set me up with a rental from this location. Within 2 minutes of getting off the phone with the claim rep Tara from enterprise was calling me to see which car I wanted and asked if I needed to be picked up. (to say I was impressed would be an understatement!) 1 arrived and within 5 minutes I was in and out with my extremely clean rental. Talk about hassle free. Same thing when I dropped it off a few days later. A quick walk around and handing back the keys. No mountains of paperwork. And although the extra coverage was offered it wasn't pushed at me. I didn't know renting could be this simple. (I will be thinking twice before booking hertz when I next travel!) read more

Called ahead to reserve a car. Asked how long the pick up process was. The guy told me 10 min over the phone. I planned for 20 min anyways so I wouldn't be late to work. I show up at my appointment time and they didn't have a clean car ready and I had to wait for the other two people in front of me. So what was originally a 10 min process turned into a 30 min process and I was late for work. However the girl who works here is hauling ass to get things done and is working very hard and fast. Cars are always dirty on the outside and filthy on the inside. They need to detail the cars before they rent them. It's no wonder people don't care about the condition they return the vehicle in. If Enterprise doesn't care, why should I. I remember the days when you picked up a rental, it was freshly washed, sanitized, vacuumed out, windows cleaned and had paper sheets over the carpet on both sides. Not anymore. Disappointing experience. My insurance company made a reservation here after a bad accident in which I totaled my vehicle. I had just gotten my MO license so it was a paper copy (which even allows me to fly) However, I was told the KC manager had decided they would no longer accept the paper MO licenses from the state that are given to drivers while they wait for their regular license which arrives in 10-14 days. Reserved a car months ago for a vacation. Was called and confirmed the day before. Ride to pick up the car was running late also showed up 2 hours late. Was told that they already rented the car and they can't help me. I asked why if they had my number to confirm yesterday they could not call and confirm again that I was coming. Was not offered any assistance in finding another vehicle and the branch manager was little to no help. From now on I will not be renting from enterprise and especially not from this location. read more

I rented a car several weeks ago and this location they kept charging my card every week with random charges. I call every time and they look into it and remove the charges but how many people don't look at their cc and the charges slip by. The car was dirty and they did a "quick wash" before I took it. I travel for work and rent exclusively thru Enterprise and have never had this happen before. I have an alert set up on my card so when a charge comes thru I know immediately. read more

We returned our car on July 12th due to a mix up on their end they told us they had to split our deposit into 2 payments back to us. As of today 8/09 we have yet to receive our the balance of our deposit. We have been getting the runaround from them day after day. When we rented the car they withdrew the rental amount and the deposit that day however it's been almost a month and we are still waiting. Everyone says they will investigate but we have yet to hear a resolution. They also refuse to speak to us directly every resp is through emails. I would never recommend or use Enterprise again. And I would not suggest anyone go to the Grandview, Mo location the management and employees are very unprofessional. The manager refused to speak to me on the phone or call back as promised. I will not let this go until we rec our deposit just as they received their rental fee. We held up end Enterprise needs to do the same read more

If I could give this company negative stars I would! I decided that the last time I rented from Enterprise was the absolute LAST time. I thought their customer service, or rather lack thereof, had more to do w/ location than with the company itself. I was wrong. The last car I rented was a Ford Fusion, V6 w/ Cruise and all the bells and whistles. The car was AWESOME except when I discovered at a crucial driving moment, that my rental car would only accelerate to 80 mph. I know it seems that 80 mph should be a sufficient speed to travel and you would be right, except when you're in the midst of a passing a Huge Semi before your 4 lane hwy suddenly decreased to 2 lanes. I thought we were gonners for sure. After the adrenaline subsided and set my Honey onto the task of looking through the manual we came to discover that this particular car has the ability to set governors w/ and admin key. Again that is all well and good but there was NO mention of this in my initial conversation w/ the rep at the Store. Even after I informed him we would be traveling on a Turnpike which generally runs 75-85 mph. I will never do business w/ Enterprise again!!! And it really doesn't matter to which location you go, they are all the same!!!!! I have officially transferred loyalties to one of their well know competitors. One that will upgrade me if the vehicle I initially reserved is unavailable and all this w/o cutting into my "Budget" ;) read more

What more can I say, other than they took very good care of me when I had to get my own car repaired at Chambers Bros Collision Repair, a few miles away. Told the one Agent, Truman that I was getting my car repaired and he hooked me up in a Dodge Journey. He made sure and kept my cost below $40 a day because American Family Insurance would cover my expenses for up to that amount and nothing more. I felt comfortable and he told me not to worry. Very polite and professional.. When I turned the vehicle in, there were no out of pocket costs. Thanks guys! read more
