I had fantastic service from Enterprise from start to finish. Char and Scott were super helpful with figuring out available cars and ironing out a hiccup with our pickup. Larissa who picked us up was super friendly and got us to Enterprise safe and sound. I appreciated how hard everyone worked to make sure we had a vehicle which met our needs. Having gone to other car rental agencies and discovered there wouldn't be a car for days, this experience was a breath of fresh air especially on a tight vacation timeline. Note, since it is quite busy, be sure to build in some buffer time for pickup and drop-off. Also, when calling, make sure you're speaking to someone at the local office since sometimes the corporate line doesn't relay info to them. Can't recommend them enough! read more

I booked a reservation online for my aunt who is elderly. She & my uncle were on a roadtrip when their car broke down in Seligman and got towed to Flagstaff, where they needed a rental car. I was unable to get ahold of the location directly to verify vehicles in stock (inconvenient) and was connected to the reservation line who confirmed there was many vehicles available for rent, so I booked a reservation online. Upon arrival the employee confirmed with my aunt she had a rental for a sedan and asked for ID and credit card. After the employee said this, the branch manager, Deni Ortiz, walked over, interrupted the employee in a rude disrespectful tone, told them "no, no, we are not renting any cars". My aunt questioned Deni why cars are not being rented when there are many cars parked on the lot and another customer was there getting keys to a rental vehicle. Deni refused and could not provide a reason. He was condescending, unprofessional and called my aunt "girl" and "lady". This is unacceptable behavior from a branch manager. Upon leaving another employee came outside and told my aunt that Deni is a bad manager, rude, and to submit a complaint to the area manager, Faruk Kiroglu. She gave a business card with their information. We have yet to receive a response from the area manager Faruk or Enterprise. AVOID this company and the terrible poor customer service and management. We will never do business with Enterprise ever again nor recommend it to anyone. Do better Enterprise. No one deserves this treatment. read more

Great job helping us with a rental paid through an insurance company. The service was fast efficient and very friendly! We were issued a brand new car! Super clean, fueled and ready to go. The office process was only a couple of minutes. On return, they had just received a bunch of folks in the office, so the wait was looking to be long... They jumped on our return, took the keys and had us on our way in just a minute or so! This is truly the worst company I have ever dealt with. I wish I could leave a zero star review. I called to book a reservation and I was told that I could get a car the same day; upon arrival I was told that there was no car for me. A bit of back story, I'm on a family vacation celebrating my daughter's, my wife's, and my birthdays and our car broke down. I took our car to the mechanic for repairs for a few days and this unfortunate event leaves us stuck in our Airbnb unless we can rent a car. Not the ideal situation as we had plans for everyday but despite the set back I wasn't going to let this bring me down. I called this location and I was told that we could have a car by 4pm. Given the cost of the mechanic repairs, $1500, I opted to walk/run to the location. I live pretty much at sea level and this was a mission at this elevation. I was happy to do it knowing that my family could continue our adventures without much time lost. Upon arrival, I was out of breath and dripping sweat and was told that they didn't have a reservation. I pulled out my phone and showed them the confirmation. They were able to pull it up but they notified me that they wouldn't have anything for me until tomorrow. I explained to them that I had just run there because I was told that they would have a car for me today and their response was that the staff that I spoke to are just "yes people and they don't actually work here." Given that nothing could be done, I asked for a cup of water and I asked for a ride back to my Airbnb for the inconvenience. Being a manager in the customer service field myself, I didn't think this was too much to ask for. When the rep came back from asking if they could accommodate my request he told me the response was no. Needless to say, I left upset and defeated but more importantly disappointed in the lack of effort this team gave me. I hope they read this review and adjust their business accordingly. read more

DON'T RENT HERE!! They refused my reservation based on the COLOR OF MY SKIN. The vehicle I was promised was still in the lot, but I was told that it was "being saved for a future rental". That meant to me that I was the wrong skin color and was being refused service based on that alone. Manager(TRAINEE!) DENI ORTIZ was horribly rude and told the rental agent that was helping me, that he was taking over...he then told me he had "cancelled" my reservation (even though I was on the phone with Enterprise).....then told me no car was available now (even though it was clearly visible in the lot), so that was a bald-faced lie! I told manager Otiz that I was on the phone with Enterprise, and he said it didn't matter, he wasn't going to rent this vehicle to "me". Sad this kind of DISCRIMINATION happens in this day and age!! My boyfriend and I lost our key fob while in Flagstaff visiting, so we had to rent a car to drive back home to Phoenix to get our spare key. I called Enterprise just two hours before and they were able to get me in. The staff and I believe the manager, a nice young lady, was so kind to me. It was the day after Christmas and she offered me refreshment, and let me know exactly what was going on. I will forever be so grateful for her warmth to me in my position. I had an incredibly positive experience at this location. My auto insurance company handled the technical stuff, but Paighten (sorry if it's spelled wrong) helped me get into a vehicle that would best accommodate my needs. The female manager at the time was also very awesome and approved this slight change for me. While the wait was long, I was very understanding as they are short staffed. A little patience goes a long way, especially when everyone who works at this location is extremely friendly and understanding to everyone's needs. They make sure the vehicles are clean and well checked before you leave the lot. I especially enjoyed my wait because I was able to chit chat with Paighten, which really made my day. I was stressed out, but I left happy and smiling. It's so great to have human interaction again post covid! Also, they still make sure the vehicles are very sanitized so that's really great too. I highly recommend this location wether it be for auto insurance purposes or because you're going on a trip. Very positive experience. read more

The day we go to pick it up, we received a compact SUV (vehicle space equivalent to a car) but over heard staff on call and promised our requested rental to another individual and was told that is all they have. I ended calling back 4 days later and told him we needed a bigger vehicle. I spoke with Scott, who at the time assured me that he would assist us. We returned the vehicle back that afternoon. Scott didn't even remember our request and stated I handle over 60 calls a day. As staff, be aware you represent whatever company you work for. I had my reservations when I saw the sub 2.9 star rating here but my assistant said it was the only option close to me. One of the most disrespectful and power tripping managers I have ever come across in my life. I have spent 10s of thousands at Enterprise over my life and never experienced such terrible customer service before from an Enterprise/Alamo. I asked if she could accommodate us leaving the vehicle somewhere close to the hotel we were staying at a few days later to see if they would work with me (something I had done many times with different branches with no issue). SHE ACTUALLY CANCELLED MY RESERVATION AND LEFT US STRANDED THERE AND REFUSED TO RENT TO ME BECAUSE I EVEN ASKED THE QUESTION. By the first phone call, I was impressed by their customer service, their upbeat and positive attitude, and how quickly they were able to get me into a rental. Zero stars. ZERO. STARS. We made every attempt before our reservation to confirm that we would be picked up from the RodewayInn (Flagstaff) a mile down the street at 8am. We called them and spoke to a rep to confirm that we were going to be picked up at the Rodeway Inn a little bit after 8am (they open at 8 so we'll give them a few minutes). We were not picked up until 8:52am because it was believed we were to be picked up from the Rodeway Inn right next door to the Enterprise, when we were at the Rodeway Inn across from the Amtrak station. The employees had no idea there was a motel at that location - just 1 mile down the road (hotels and transportation hubs would be the most likely places to pick someone up, meaning you need to know where these places are, and if they are part of a chain, you need to ask specifically which one because customers don't always know that there is a chain). We called at 8:15 when no one was there, and they had forgotten our pickup. We called again at around 8:45; they had gone to the Rodeway Inn next door to them, and, seeing no one, thought nothing of trying to contact us. So at this point, we're an hour late. As soon as we get in the vehicle, we start being hit with the potential that there would be additional fees due to us having to change our drop off location (it ended up that no additional fees were levied as they were part of our original reservation). It is not wise to begin a conversation with your customers when you are picking them up AN HOUR LATE that there may be additional fees. We were not queued up by the time of our reservation, so we had to wait for everyone else already in the lobby when we got to the Enterprise location, despite our having made a reservation for 8am. We observed an almost constantly ringing phone; these calls were ignored. This would later come as no surprise, as we attempted to call them multiple times, only for the phone waiting system to time out. Keys were finally in hand at 9:52 that morning. When I brought up the fact that this is almost two hours after our booked reservation, I was given an apology and business cards. I would understand a 30-minute wait; 45 minutes if they are especially busy. Two hours? Ridiculous. The car itself was fine; it's the customer service that has been and continues to be atrocious. I subsequently dropped the car at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, but forgot my sunglasses. I went back to the airport and was told by the manager, after talking by phone to someone at the location where the car was taken for cleaning, that they would go run down and collect them and that they'd be back with my sunglasses in 5 minutes. They came back and told me that the sunglasses had been placed in a lock box, to which there was currently no access, but that there would be access Monday (this was a Saturday). At that point I had it and I let them know that this was, by a customer service standpoint, an embarrassing situation for them. No uncertain terms here folks, and I apologize that I did let my temper get the better of me. However, this is an airport. People leave behind wallets, phones and keys sometimes. You're telling me that those things get put into the lock box and there's no access to them, despite the fact that someone may be leaving on a plane? In talking with a customer service rep on the phone, I discovered that this is (apparently?) against company policy and that someone should always be on duty who has access to the lost and found box. I'm still not sure if this is true. The rep also explained that I needed to fill out a lost and found form online, which I was never instructed by staff at Sky Harbor Phoenix to do (another violation of Company Policy). I have subsequently filed this form but have yet to receive anything in my email indicating next steps (which is to schedule a time for pickup). I was told, again by the rep on the phone, that I would be able to schedule a time to pick them up on Saturday, if I so desired; however, I believe that the lost and found at the airport, stupidly, has Monday through Friday hours, which also explains why I have yet to receive any information by email (I'm guessing that the notification went someplace where there are currently no employees at the tender). All of this is leading up to the main point, which is emphasized by the other reviews here, which is that Enterprise's customer service and complaint system is virtually nonexistent. Funneling these sorts of things to a national number creates a bottleneck that is frustrating and in some ways dehumanizing. I hope that someone at that level is listening to this review and trying to read it openly, because that is the real travesty here, that there are many more people who have been in my shoes before. I can't even get a direct number to Sky Harbor Enterprise; it would seem that the company is actively trying to avoid what consumers long for: to talk to a real person and find real solutions. KJ was super friendly, and answered every question I had with knowledge and a great attitude! He was also able to switch our car over to a 4wd option when he realized we were going on a ski trip. This business was extremely difficult to work with. We were guaranteed a vehicle by the customer service department and after driving over an hour to the location, we were told the customer service department operates independently of the rental department, and there were no available vehicles. When trying to negotiate that Enterprise bring a replacement out to us since our current car was unsafe, they told us we would have to work with the Towing department who has a reputation of being unhelpful and was also independent of the rental department. Unless you want to find yourself sitting forever past your reservation time with a bunch of other people also waiting to get a car because they don't have any clean cars. Unfortunately, this was the place set up by insurance for me to use, but I will make sure to never use this location again. They told me to call the day of to schedule a pick up from the collision center. I called 4 times and 3 times was disconnected. The 4th time the system put me on hold for 15 minutes then told me no one was available and I'd have to try again later. I never got through to schedule a pick up so we had to stressfully organize a last minute a way to get me over here after dropping my car off at the collision location. Once I got to enterprise, I walked in to see people sitting at their desks letting the phones ring with no concern. I never write reviews, but I actually can't believe how terrible of an experience this has been lol. It's almost comical.
