Given a rental with only 29 miles of gas at the time of pickup. Wasted more time filling up instead of hitting the road.

This branch is conveniently located in Colma, along El Camino Real in between Collins Rd & Serramonte Blvd. I love that it's away from the madness at SFO and rates are typically lower off Airport. It's tucked away inside the Kohl's parking lot (to the left of Kohl's if facing the store). I called ahead of my reservation to inquire if they had a pickup/drop off shuttle. Kevin kindly helped me coordinate getting picked up to get my vehicle from Colma. Upon arrival, the car type I reserved was unavailable. I was offered the next class for the same rate. It took Britney, the associate helping me, 4 attempts to locate the correct keys. Her manager noticed the struggle and thankfully brought out the correct key. I was initially offered an EV to expedite the process but it was only 34% charged. So we went with the next option, a compact SUV that was nearly on Empty - it only had TWENTY NINE MILES OF GAS IN THE TANK?? After unnecessary delays at this branch, I still had to get gas and head down 1 hour away in rush hour traffic to get to a funeral. Not the ideal experience for my first visit to this branch in Colma CA. The Nissan Kick I was given struggled to accelerate to freeway speeds and made merging a nightmare even when flooring the gas. The horn was so embarrassing, I had to toot it a couple times and it gave my daughter a good laugh. Thankfully, I only needed this POS for 24 hours (and I returned it with 166 miles left on the tank - you're welcome!). Enterprise Colma's saving grace was the stellar customer service I received from Brianna and Ada upon returning the car. Ada asked how my rental was and as I was expressing my woes, Brianna overheard our conversation. She came out while Ada was checking me in and offered me her business card. Brianna sincerely apologized for my less than satisfactory experience. She rectified my poor experience with my rental car that performed less than satisfactory by comping my entire rental, unsolicited. I may consider returning to Colma but only bc of Brianna Jimenez's earnest efforts in seeing that I left satisfied. She is an asset to the Enterprise Colma team. Thank you, Brianna, for your time and consideration!

I create this burdened, inconvenienced, hideous, outraged, unimaginable and traumatized email with permanent mental detriment. You have gravely, utterly, unconscionably, inexcusably, unfathomably, unjustifiably, horrifically, traumatically, irrefutably, unforgivably, unremarkably, astoundingly, repulsively, degradingly, belittled and deplorably shattered my business association as well as humanity. The above descriptions do not begin to identity or convey your overall lazy, militantly orderly, inefficient, sloppy, careless, hazardous, neglected, rude, crass, hostile, negative, harsh, discriminative, inappropriate and pathetic excuse for "paid workers"!! The following occurred: *Effective December 30th, 2025, per transfer/referral from AAA to Hertz, my interaction with Tony involved "replacement contract" without any education, elaboration or understanding of your internal/untrained verbiages. Tony lacked courtesy and mindful respect to inform me. *I had to reiterate, remind, reemphasize and reconfirm that I needed to be picked up due to vehicle damage loss. Apparently and unacceptably, no one communicates clearly or diligently. *Candace: provided my Confirmation #: OKRCU47008. Candance firmly and profusely reminded me to call Hertz at 8:00a.m. the following morning at (650) 992-1582/option 5, to reach a local agency. *Effective December 31st, 2025, I prepared my identification and financial arrangement. I was then inquired per AAA of my policy establishment by Jasmine who was less than professional No email received. No organization. Jasmine hung up on me. *I reported the above to Brenda/Insurance Agent. *I contacted Hertz Daly City, where I discovered Tyson's horrific demeanor of: rudeness, attitude, arrogant, sloppy and accusatory, "You are ignoring me". Tyson spoke down to me with pure sarcasm. Per Tyson: "It wouldn't make sense to have the wrong address, right?" I believe Tyson was referring to my pick up location. *Danny/Daly City: he incompetently and unconscionably exposed my interaction on his speakerphone!! I had to verify as Danny was echoing and too vocal. Danny nonchalantly commented, "I have a customer in front of me". THIS A VIOLATION OF MY NEGLECTED PRIVACY. *Into the rainy evening, I contacted Hertz to adamantly report defective and unsafe windshield wiper blades including asking untrained/hard questions as to having your PAID business handle this matter and/or provide an exchange vehicle to avoid inconveniencing/impacting my schedule; to absolute no avail. I RECEIVED NO logical, rational, reasonable or timely resolution. Merely either a tow of this neglected vehicle and a one time taxi thereafter for me. My only other option was exchanging this disastrous vehicle at the San Francisco International Airport; at my personal expense that Hertz is accountable for. No vital continued assistance. *Due to the holiday business closures, I had no option but to continue observing, enduring and listening to the very squeaky, poorly managed and unclear windshield condition. *I attempted the Hertz Corporate level, January 2nd, 2026, to report the above inhumane treatment and utter devastation without any professionalism. I had no option but to contact Tyson yet again for another attempt to simply exchange my vehicle. That is it. No drama. *Effective January 6th, 2026: Tyson deliberately, intentionally and once again, incompetently, deceived me by stating that I could return my vehicle back to Daly City or seek more selections at the San Francisco International Airport. This was conducted over the telephone as to try and save my fuel and time expense needlessly. *Upon my arrival to your local business with the anticipation and full expectation that Tyson had indeed prepared a smooth, efficient and productive vehicle exchange, I was/am beyond repulsed by Tyson. At the counter, Tyson randomly and arrogantly claimed that he did not have any vehicles for an exchange without a dutiful explanation. Tyson appeared unfocused, distracted, surprised, clueless, unknowledgeable, untrained and routinely unfriendly. I lost my patience with, "You did not tell me on the phone!! Why would you waste my time and have me drive here?!!" I told Tyson that I did not mind a smaller vehicle, I was flexible. Tyson only commented, "I only have a bigger vehicle which is more money".... Tyson then, walked away and disappeared. Unfortunately, with this condoned nightmare and clear discombobulation by Hertz, I cannot recall all microscopic details, due to permanent health injuries and profound exhaustion inflicted by Hertz. My next memory is being "told" by Tyson suddenly, that my AAA account was flagged and yet again, no explanation. In the next hour and extended time frame, I was instructed to contact my insurance company to inquire and assess the reason. Discrimination. Never again. Refund.

When I went to pick up the car that I had reserved online the car, I was told that they did not…read morehave my size (economy) and that it would an additional $30/day for the next size up. I was told I could try to go back in and try to change the reservation online, but I was not able to do that at the time. I finally was able to get the per day cost down but it was still more than if I had reserved the larger one online. They should have honored the original reservation but did not. Not going back to any Hertz location.

It's only natural I'd interact with any and all rental car agencies in the Bay Area. Over the years I've worked with Enterprise on both the corporate and branch levels. It's a family owned business and it's a people business long before the subject of the cars comes up. They do business ethically. They treat people courteously. Both clients AND business partners. They do a phenomenal job of communication and they excel at setting expectations and then exceeding them! It's a very hard job. The branches are used to promote staff from within which can lead to a challenge in turnover as Enterprise tends to hire young , intelligent "go getters". This can mean building a relationship only to see it change when a new eager young face comes in. That has been a 20 plus year observation of mine. I build and grow a relationship with an office full of happy young folks that help me operate and function only to watch them move on in their lives. This leads me to the reason for this specific review. That reason is Miss Helen at the San Bruno Branch. I remember the standard Enterprise changing of the guard ceremony where I met Miss Helen. Enterprise has a standard procedure. Departing manager comes and brings the fresh new manager for a meet n greet. This sounds simple. Sounds like common sense. Sounds "like a good idea .." and it is. But I'll tell you. No other company consistently does anything like this. So anyway. Miss Helen was full of enthusiasm and had a genuine demeanor about her as she committed to a fruitful and pleasant working relationship with me and my clients. I've had probably 20 of these meet ups over the years and knew to expect a learning curve. But I got the feeling it'd go well. And it has. Miss Helen will always take my calls and always address my clients concerns or needs as if she was helping her own family. As do all of her staff. It's clear to me that her management style is both effective and infectious. She proves an age old business adage I live by. "You can light a fire under someone and you may get results; light that fire IN THEM and you will get results !" I see it in the tone and feel of the current San Bruno Branch and it's something that's really rad to see in the current state of the world. A mixed bag of young people all working hard to better themselves and their branch while delivering their company promise of "We'll pick you up!" With a smile and some genuine effort and sincerity. In my humble (albeit wordy ) opinion. Miss Helen is an asset that built a team capable of handling anything. Give em a crack at global warming ! Let em see if they can fix the hole in the ozone layer. I personally think they're unstoppable !

I've been helped by Ian, Helen, Jayden, Zach, Reanne, Zion, and James. Every staff member I have interacted with has been pleasant, helpful, and efficient. They're quick to get me checked in with the car, and quick during the return process. The cars are always cleaned very well. Zero complaints. I'm so glad that this Enterprise is conveniently located near me. Someone give them an award. Thank you!

The ride to enterprise was a pleasant one because he let me vent about the accident that I was recently in. Then there's James. Had to wait a while but James was very informative on the process and the wait. Initially was offered a mini van but I couldn't take it because my parking spot is a stacker. So, James found a way to provide me an amazing Toyota Camry. I think it was the car Nathan drove me in. Whatever the case, James made it work because they literally had no more cars on the lot. We did the check in at the counter then went over to the area where the cars are at. By the time it was our turn to get a car, they no longer had what we requested (standard). The person helping us kindly gave us an upgrade to an SUV which we accepted, otherwise it was a very small car available. We first chose the bronco, but upon inspection, it hadn't been cleaned yet so we were given a Mazda. We had no issues with the car and got billed the toll days after return date. We decided to extend our rental a few hours and were happy to find out that there was no extra charge for it. The return was painless and quick with no surprises.

Several issues: 1) I…read moreended up paying more than 170$ than planned (for about 6 days). Their customer service (via phone) couldn't justify some of the fees (eg $16 of "airport transport") and said they were from Booking.com. 2) The rental location is OFF the airport. You'll have to wait for up to 15 minutes for the shuttle to get there. This means you'll queue up with a bunch of other people (To be honest, they moved pretty fast). They charge $25 if you want to be taken back to the terminal directly when you drop the car. 3) I bought a tank of gas in advance, and I was told that they would "refund up to half tank of unused gas". But I was told (when I returned) they meant they refund half a tank if you return more than half. 4) People are reporting high late fees. I actually returned early, and I still don't know why the extra $170. 5) They will try to sell you a $200 weekly plan for tolls, but when I checked online, it looks like you can just pay the tolls on the web with the plate. I didn't try it, so I can't confirm, but now you know. On the bright side, the car was OK, even if a little scuffed and stained, and the return was very quick.

I only wish that they would have more help on their team for the guys at the service counter…read morebecause one time I visited there was quite the wait for a 5 minute. Free upgrade to a 2024 Dodge Charger made it even more special of a trip. Made it to Neptunes Net
