First, I've never had a bad experience at this location when I rented a car myself. I always rent weeks in advance and do a pre check-in. Today was different. I arrived @ the Beavercreek location @4:55. I was greeted as usual with a cheery "we will be right with you." As I was waiting, I overheard the attendant tell someone "I'm sorry, we've got no more cars available for walk-ins" By the time they called "next" three other people had entered behind me. The female attendant was waiving someone up who had entered after me, so the customer said "I think he was next". Then another customer piped up and said "I actually think this lady got here before him" (she was seated when I got there and I didn't know she hadn't been helped). That was all good as she did arrive before I had. The attendant then said "let me get all your id's so I can call your name in order". She proceeded to take my id and the 3 people who had entered after myself. After they had called the lady in front of me, they called the person who had walked in after me. I'm sorry, in the 3 minutes you were answering I phone call, how did you forget I was supposed to be next? This time, that person didn't say, "I'm sorry, he was next" They just stepped up to the counter to be helped. The next available attendant then called me up. "I'm sorry sir, we've got no more cars available". What!? My insurance sent my reservation hours ago. "Sorry, sir it only showed up for us recently." (BS) "You're going to have to come back tomorrow." WELL I'M SORRY, I DON'T HAVE TIME TO COME BACK TOMORROW. Now, I'm stuck without a car for 2 more days having to get rides to and from work. Enterprise knows the first hour and last hour of their day is the busiest. Why have someone wait for a half hour only to tell them you don't have a car for them. Seinfeld was right! Anybody can TAKE a reservation, not anybody can KEEP a reservation. tldr: If your insurance company rents you a car, call ahead and make sure they are actually going to keep one on the lot for you. read more

The Beavercreek branch of Enterprise rental car has managed to staff their office with the most incompetent morons I've ever had the unfortunate task of dealing with. They operate at a glacial pace. Not only that, but when you speak to them on the phone, half of them listen, but do not act upon your request or follow up on what they say they will do. Meanwhile, the other half don't listen to what you're saying and trail-off on some unrelated topic. Steer clear and save yourself a lot of headache. Rent from Hertz, Avis or anyone else. We rented our vehicle on a very busy weekend and cars were turning over quickly. There was some miscommunication in the rental process and some flaws with regards to the the vehicle itself. We called and discussed with the manager and after we explained the situations in it's entirety the manager provide great customer service and took care of the issue. Sometimes situations happen with issues, but taking care of the customer is how to get returning customers. I will be returning. read more

I have used Enterprise often over the years both for personal business as well as on our corporate account (as well as many members of my corporate team). Never ever have I come across such unprofessional and incompetent people (one was supposedly a manager). It's a long story, but bottom line is they refused to make the situation right...and stated why would they when they can rent the car at full price to someone else. And further stated the problem causes stress for employees...never mind the customer, that's ok. I contacted corporate and pray they record calls. I was not rude or belligerent...they just did not care. At the end when I finally caved and said fine, we will take the smaller car at the $1 a day discount you graciously provided, she said "nope I don't like your attitude and won't be renting to you...and hung up. She was supposedly the manager (Hannah)...and I truly hope that she isn't. If so she needs to learn some business etiquette and the art of de escalation vs escalation. PS..went to Budget Rent a car. Mixed customer service. One week you get the highest customer service. The next week the staff is rude and unhelpful. I have had to exchange two cars to alternate locations while traveling due to mechanical issues and had to have a new car brought to me once I've reached my destination. Once they attempted to charge me for damages that I had already pointed out at the time of pick up. I've also been generously upgraded and treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. It is really unpredictable what level of customer service she will receive. It seems consistent that when I'm not complaints were filed, the customer service is exemplary to supplement. On more than one occasion there have been no cars available upon arrival and I had to drive 30 minutes away to pick up a car so I wouldn't miss a meeting out of town. I travel for work and go to that location quite frequently because it is close to my home. I have begin to dread going to pick up the rental car because I don't know what experience I will receive. read more

I normally rent from here twice a year, but this time around a friend recommended I go with Hertz..after they refused to rent to me or provide me with a ride home because I wasn't a customer I went back to Enterprise and they had me in and out in literally 7 mins...I will never go anywhere else to rent a vehicle again..they are professional, courteous and they won't leave u stranded...they have a customer for life with me... read more

When my friend returned her car, she didn't want to bring up the fact that the headlights and cruise control were dangerously defective. I did though and we were met with the standard "sorry", but I'm not going to do anything by the clerk. Then the clerk practically accused my friend of smoking in the vehicle, which she didn't do, and mentioned adding an extra fee. He then complained about dog hair from the dog bed she had transported in plastic in the back of the SUV (her husband followed in their vehicle with the dogs) and again tried to add an extra fee. It's a strategy to get extra money from customers. So this disabled elderly woman was forced to drive in a strange neighborhood to a store and purchase supplies to get the hair out, only to find some of the hair was not even from her dog! The clerk was condescending and tried to pull the standard "don't-take-it-out-on-me" when she was nothing if not polite in order to confuse and divert her. Never again. We'll go to Avis. read more

Called in reservation for full size sedan 5 days ago. Made an appointment for 5 pm 23Nov2020 and arrived there at 5 pm to find NO CARS on lot. Was told five were "coming soon" They offered a PICK-UP truck! They found me in their computer system from PREVIOUS rentals and acknowledged the reservation.When I called in NO RESERVATION NUMBER was given to me. Had decent service before especially from Cameron ( whom I found out was now at Sidney location). Used online Chat Help but that was useless. read more

Wonderful group of people, very helpful and very easy going! I stopped in last minute on a Saturday and they were PACKED due to an issue at another store causing an overflow there. They didn't let that get to them, even when some customers were rude they kept a smile on their faces, sincerely apologized and continued to give top notch have customer service. I'm glad that I stopped in, and extremely glad I made a reservation online ahead of time. They even gave me a ride to my private car down the road when I dropped off the car! - one suggestion, if you plan to use a debit card (versus a credit card) bring a utility bill with your current mailing. I think this is the best rental car place in the Dayton area. I've been in renting from them every month for the past 2 years and every time they have prompt service. Haven't had to wait more than a couple minutes to get checked in. Their staff is awesome, and walks you through the process every time. I rented a car from this branch recently. I had my car in the shop so I dropped the car off at dealership because they assured me that was fine, enterprise would come pick it up. I looked vehicle over before leaving it, as I always do when returning a vehicle, everything was fine. 45 min after I get home, they call and say there is damage to hood, large dents! The agent that initially checked in vehicle did not see these dents, they were pointed out AFTER he checked it in! These were obvious dents, that obviously happened after check in, but my insurance got charged and my cc was charged $60 for I don't know what! I will never rent from enterprise again! Update, 3 weeks later - Enterprise must not care about their customers, have not heard a word from them other than the reply they posted here. Tried to contact with no response. I will never rent from enterprise again. read more

OK folks, here we go again with another update on this location. Again, they've replaced nearly all the staff and have a new manager. We rent vehicles for personal use 4-6 times a year and done so for many years. We've only ever rented from Enterprise and, specifically, this location. This time, we rented a mini-van for 4 days. The fellow that handled the paperwork did every trick in the book to get me to buy extra insurance. It was high pressure and sneaky. He would not give me the per-day price of any of his options; rather he just adjusted the total for the 4 days with the phrase, "for only $___ more, you're be better protected and your family will be safer." I typically DO buy the basic roadside insurance (approx. $5 per day) but he didn't want me to get that. For nearly 10 minutes he went on trying to sell me more than I wanted and talked in circles and keeping it very confusing. I finally told him, "Cancel all insurance and every extra. I only want to pay the daily rate for the van and I'll buy my own gas when I bring it back". Then he walked back and let me buy what I wanted, but during the walk around inspection, tried to hit me up again. Then, when I returned it I was told I would be charged for fuel because it wasn't on a full tank. I let the lady (who happened to be the manager) know that when I got it, it was on 3/8 of a tank and I returned it with a little more than that. She looked at her tablet and said, "No, sir. It was full when you took it." I produced my paper copy of the lease agreement that showed 3/8 of a tank. Then she issued a credit for the amount of the fuel + the return of the deposit they require, but I had to argue with her over it. If I hadn't have had the paper copy, I would have been out a tank of gas. Also, I returned the van a day early (Sunday, instead of Monday). I've done this before without issue and sometimes I get a credit for the extra day I didn't use and sometimes not. I asked about being not being charged for the 4th day (I was supposed to return it by 3:00 pm Monday and it was returned Sunday afternoon) on the off chance I could get a credit for the early return. I have no problem paying for the extra day - it's what I signed up for, but it doesn't hurt to ask... She told me I needed to have returned it by 12:00 noon on Sunday if I wanted to avoid being charged for the 4th day. I don't have a problem with that, but here's the rub: They're CLOSED on Sunday so they have no idea what time I returned it. I don't care about the extra day. I do care about the 'by-noon-on-Sunday', the insurance hustle, and the fuel charge problems. If I hadn't produced the paperwork showing the fuel level, they would have charged me. Their electronic records were clearly different than their paper records. Here's the icing on the cake: I received a follow-up survey call asking about my experience. I answered the questions on the 1-5 scale and said I was "not likely" to rent from them again. A few days later I received a call from an area manager named Roger Stewart wanting to talk with me personally and follow up on the survey. I've returned his call 3 times over the past 2 1/2 weeks and have gotten zero response. This is more than a customer service issue. This is bad business and dishonest. So long and best of luck to you Enterprise - especially the Beavercreek, OH location on St. Rt. 35. From now on, I'll be driving a couple miles further up the road to the other rental company and avoid the inconsistency, high-pressure sales, and invoicing trickery. read more

My wife's car was in the shop for a few days and Enterprise was very near by. The experience started out really well, The shop called Enterprise and the car showed up before my wife was done dropping of the her car. However, the car was quite dirty inside but that was not huge deal as my wife cleaned it out (she had it over a week). The car itself was not bad. Smooth ride and my wife was pleased. At that point Enterprise was doing well. The problem took place when we went to drop it off. We parked the car and walked in. The staff was very police. The manager on duty at the time went out to look at the car. When she came back in she mentioned that there was damage on the car. So, we all went out and looked at it. There was, in fact, a dent on one of the doors (slightly over the one inch damage allowance allowed). Since I knew (based on where my wife had been and the very limited times she had used the car) it was literally (word used on purpose) impossible for the damage to have taken place while the car was under her care and since I have rented a car hundreds of time (I used to travel for work a lot), I was convinced that the dent had been missed during its pickup inspection on a cloudy day. The store manager (again, who was very polite throughout) indicated we needed to go in and provide her the deductible from our insurance. I told her my concerns and she repeatedly asked me what I thought she should do. I told her, each time, she needed to believe me, go through whatever process it is Enterprise has to fixing damaged cars, and to reiterate (perhaps retrain) the staff on pickup inspections (after all it was a small (barely over the one inch circle) crease that was barely identifiable in the bright sunlight). She said that was not an option and we needed to provide the deductible. Since my wife had missed the dent during the pre-inspection, we accepted we were going to pay the money and learn a life lesson. I think it is important to note that the representative missed it as well. We went inside and the manager started the process to accept our deductible when she said, as if it were an idea and not a part of the process, that she would look up past damage reports for the car. Almost immediately she apologized and stated that the damage had been noted before and she had no idea how it had not already been fixed. We were then given a receipt and we left. I 100% understand and accept the pickup inspection is a joint inspection. However, when the person dropping it off tells a person (my wife in this case) that everything she identifies is "not big enough," then the last side of the car becomes cursory at best. I would ask that this office retrain their staff t note all damage, and to check past damage reports before starting the process to charge a person his or her deductible. Over all, this is probably my worst rental car experience ever. Again, the staff was very polite. read more

I was in the Dayton area on business - travelled from Florida the night before. I had a friend take me to the office at noon on Monday so I could pick up the car. I am an Enterprise business customer and have rented many cars in the past from them with no problems. I was told that 'unfortunately' they couldn't honor my reservation because I didn't have a credit card. I don't use credit cards, only debit cards. This was never a problem in the past. I offered to have them hold a large amount on the debit card, no luck. The rep explained that they have been trying to call people to notify them of this change but didn't call me. (I would've brought my Amex had I known). There was no sorry. no compassion. no suggestions. I was left high and dry. Then they had the audacity to suggest that I should've called in to inquire about any policy changes - it was my fault!!Very bad customer service. I felt unvalued and untrusted.After I left Enterprise, I called Hertz on Loop Rd. They were extremely kind to me and empathized with my situation. I was able to rent a car (for a lower price btw) with a small $200 additional hold on my debit card. No BS about a utility bill either.Overall I've been happy with Enterprise, but their location in Beavercreek is very bad. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere (i.e. Hertz on Loop Rd). read more

Not a perfect experience with the Enterprise system, but certainly a perfect experience with this particular branch. I called to make a reservation, but the local office was closed; therefore, the call bounced to corporate. They took my reservation, repeated it back to me, but somehow everything was messed up by the time of my trip. The local office called to confirm arrangements the day before and realized things had gone astray. These guys worked through the issues in remarkable fashion, even expending their own personal time after normal hours. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all their efforts, as they made a potentially FUBAR situation, in the end, work out comfortably for me. Great job, guys. I've rented from this particular Enterprise location for many years due to its proximity to my home. The people have always been very pleasant to work with. I did have a few problems a few years back however these issues have been addressed and have not been repeated. I intend to continue using the Beavercreek location of Enterprise for the foreseeable future. read more

I have had many great experiences with Enterprise, however this past weekend I was very disappointed. I showed up to the site, and was given several options of a vehicle to drive for the weekend. I had set up a reservation for a standard size car but the only options I was given were the intermediate category. I wanted to bigger vehicle and space but that wasn't an option. When I chose the Corolla, it still had trash in the car from the previous renter and when I drove off the lot there was a loud thumping from the front left tire for the entire weekend. I was already on the road and didn't have the time to go back and trade it out for a different car. This car was in no shape to be driven off of the lot. I am disappointed with the quality and conditon of the 2014 Corolla that I rented. read more
