Immediately called to cancel the reservation since i'd been scammed. reservation cancelled without penalty, credit card to be credited in 7 - 10 business days!! it's now 13 business days, still no credit, and my bill is almost due. Called again, passed around, on hold for several minutes. When he came back he told me he would escalate this to prepaidd time w/ processing time of 5-7 days!  requested to speak to a supervisor; he told me i'd have to call back and then hung up on me!

I went on priceline on my phone and this is the place it picked. When I showed up there was a big line and it was taking forever. The computer system was down. The extremely tan woman in neon behind the counter had attitude. She refused to let me use my work credit card because it didn't have MY name on it. I told her that not only was she making me late for my arranged pick up but it was absurd that I'm not allowed to use my work card. She laughed and shot me a nasty look and said that it's absurd that I would expect her to allow me to because for all she knows I stole the credit card. Are you $@#&[!# serious?!?! Not only is that the rudest most unprofessional thing this older lady could say to me, but it was in front of a packed place! When we went out to go over the rental car before giving it to me behind schedule (which made me late for work) I asked if she had all of the scuffs and marks on the car documented beforehand. She shrugged it off and acted offended when I took pictures of them before leaving the lot. This lot is cram packed and tiny with narrow parking spaces and tow trucks just sitting around so its very hard to maneuver around. I was leaving my cadi there and she told me it was too close to the yellow line of the parking space so I had to move it... Once again, are you serious?!?! I backed my cadi up and pulled it back in an inch over because there was no more room or else I'd be too close to the other line. The car I got had hair in it, crumbs on the seat, and bleach stains on the seat. The stearing was loose and and hit bumps like I was riding in the back of a pick up truck going down a dirt road. She was .00009% more pleasant when I returned it.

Called Hertz to verify the reservation-which took 20 minutes to get a real, live person! Tried their website which was useless. I had a question that the website didn't answer so tried to find a phone number. I think I had to call AAA for a phone number. Got a bot that never once asked if I wanted to talk to a person. Finally found the right combo of numbers to hit to get a real live person. This guy had an accent so thick I couldn't understand a thing he said. I asked to be switched to someone else, was told something I couldn't understand, hung up and tried again. This time, got a woman who also had an accent but who I could understand, but someone was literally screaming in the background, so I couldn't hear a thing this woman was saying. Called a 3rd time, finally got to ask what the bit meant when it said my debit card would be frozen for the time I was renting the car. Was told that all it meant was that the amount I'd paid was the amount frozen, I'd be billed when I turned in the car for that amount. Ok. Arrived at Orlando airport, hertz clerk tells me I have to pay $500 extra because I'm using a debit card! Even though the car is paid in full already. Clerk tells me all rental car companies do this. He can't rent me the car unless I produce a credit card in my name. I don't have a credit card. So, I fork over the $500, which is supposed to be returned to me 24 hours after I return the car. I'm waiting still, 48 hours later. I do not want to call hertz again! I'll never use this company again. BTW, car stunk of mildew every time we turned the fan on. If I could give hertz no stars, I would.

While I…read morewas at McDonald's behind me was a Hertz vehicle, two middle-aged white men were telling me to hurry the hell up so they could get to work. Me not knowing what to get and getting frazzled by people actually talking to me glared & took my time. By the time I was paying for my food the male in the passenger seat was at my passenger window telling me "Fuck You". The store manager at McDonald's did not try to help me, nor did he even give me his name. I feel so disrespected by both the Hertz and McDonald's and yet the two feel as if they can't do anything so I'll just give the facts of what happened and let the happy customers decide their fate. Not sure what Hertz the men worked at but the company truck said Hertz on the front. We were at the McDonalds on Main St. so I'm assuming they're employed here. Just imagine if this were night time instead of 11 am. I could have ended up dead in a ditch as many unnamed women do.

If he couldn't get to the phone, he always called back promptly and was the only Hertz in Buffalo able to get me a car on short notice. Hertz would do well to try to keep him. His service skills are phenomenal.

Got a car...packed and ready to leave town- of no passenger seatbelt does not work most of the time (also front tires unsafe in rain, but I didn't even mention that). Took it back, and response was oh I got it to latch...That's nice but I'm not interested in a car that has a seatbelt that latches 2 out of 10 tries...I insisted, and they gave me different car. Loaded and left town. Now the AC does not work...we hit 88 degrees on the way back...that nice and BTW torrential rain so the 1st car would have had 2 problems. Ok add these 2 things to that...1) when I picked up the car I actually rented, I got no walk through the car, no check of anything and it had a huge scrape on one of the wheel arches...went back and was told oh yeah we noted that. The gas tank was 7/8 full (digital gauge) and they marked it full. By the time I left it was 11am instead of 9:30. Asked them to change time on rental to 11...they refused. 2) just called customer service and was told all they can do is $50 credit toward future rental...GTFO- insulting for such problems. Asked to speak to supervisor was told there are none available. Here we are. Your experience may vary but this got to be the worst rental for me in 30+ years

    One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had…read more The branch manager here should absolutely not be in a position that deals with customers. I asked a simple question about overcharges on my bill, and instead of acting like a professional, he immediately spoke down to me like I was stupid and then started raising his voice. Zero respect, zero customer service skills. When I asked for his name so I could report the situation, he refused and said, "Good luck reporting me, I am the boss." That level of arrogance alone tells you exactly how things are run here. What made it even worse is that I actually saw him having a similar issue with another customer when I first picked up the rental. So this clearly isn't a one-time bad moment -- this is just how he treats people. Then as I was leaving the parking lot, he literally yelled after me that he was going to charge me extra fees and smiled about it like it was funny. Completely unprofessional, aggressive, and honestly pretty disturbing behavior coming from someone representing a business. If management acts like this when customers ask legitimate questions about charges, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. There are plenty of businesses out there that don't treat people this way.

I do not have a major credit card, I expressed that over again with the agent. No problem he said with a $300 deposit and 2 forms of identification. I uber there and was now told I have to live in NY for that to apply. Wasted $60 on uber. Customer service was zero. Enterprise please train your employees to listen and know policy.
