To pick up the car, you have to walk across to the garage, go up an elector, pick up the key by scanning the receipt QR code at the lockers, and then find the car. It would probably be a little confusing for some but easy enough for most. The car was super clean and worked perfectly for our trip! FYI, to pass into other countries, one must buy a vignette sticker at any gas station. Returning it was a breeze as well. Overall, a great experience-- would definitely boom with Sixt again in the future!

Dropped the car off 5 days later at the MUC airport, their folks reported no damage on the car (that's how light the scratches were). 6 weeks later they send us a bill for another $1,600, stating that the total repair was quoted by the local TUV office and we had to pay since we filed no police report.... That went back and forth for almost a year with me insisting on what their manager had told me at their office when they collected the co-pay. They even stated they talked to the manager in question and she said she would never say that! Unfortunately, my credit card company would not reimburse us unless we good a clean bill from Enterprise. I figured loosing $850 was cheaper than paying another $1,600. Needless to say, we will never use Enterprise again.

When a last-minute change in travel plans in London sent me to München instead of home to New York, I called the National (Enterprise's sister company) US customer service line in an attempt to find a rental car on the first day of Oktoberfest. Yeah...I was told that nothing was available for the entire week, and good luck getting around. So - in a bind, I stopped by the Hertz counter and rented a car from them. After going back to the Hertz desk to complain about the numerous damages and dings on the car they'd given me, I saw that the Enterprise desk was actually still staffed, even though they should have closed half an hour earlier. So - first things first - the Enterprise desk isn't easy to find. After you pass the very large car rental counters for Europcar, Hertz, and Sixt, Enterprise are past them and nearly at the exit door. Easy to miss, but hopefully not for long (more on that in a minute). I walk up and say hello to the man behind the desk, a Mr. Schultz. I explain my situation, that I'm here on very short notice, yes I know that it's the start of Oktoberfest, and National told me this location was out of cars, but did he have anything because the Hertz rental was a dog. He smiles, asks for my license or elite number, and quickly finds me in the system. After verifying my identity, he offers me a car on the spot, which I have to defer until the next day given that I'd already checked out my vehicle from Hertz for the day. Herr Schultz confirms me for the next day, and promises me "a very nice vehicle." I come back the next evening, drop off the Hertz rental, and Herr Schultz walks me over to the brand-new Jaguar XF that would be mine for the week. Oh my...now this is love! We get to talking, and he tells me that Enterprise is going to be transforming their presence in MUC airport, and that as an elite National customer, I can expect luxury vehicles and a seamless billing and service level in a new and improved location over the coming months. After a dismal rental experience from Enterprise in Rome, and a forgettable one from Hertz in München, I am now looking forward to seeing what's coming next from Enterprise in Germany. Oh - and the Jag? Lots of fun on the Autobahn. ;)

Of the 8 employees I counted at the station only 3 were seeing customers. The waiting list was over the 15 people long and it took 40 mins just to see an attendant. I hope this station manager can work to resolve this issue otherwise I'll rent from a different company.

This is during the weekend before Christmas, so there weren't many rental cars available. We had to pay 2.5x the price than what we originally agreed to pay for an upgrade. This is just robbery. DON'T RENT FROM BUCHBINDER SINCE THEY WON'T HONOR YOUR BOOKING.

The letter of evidence I brought from my gold card states only USD$50k insurance. They also tried to make a claim of a "mark" on the bumper. The rubber side from the suitcase rubbed on the bumper, so I explained to the guy it will rub off, and then took pictures until he backed off. I was lucky but if you don't take a pic of every part in front of them they will try to file a claim once you are back home. If you are American you Must have a Gold Mastercard. Canadians must have Gold Visa. 2. You must have physical, signed letter from MasterCard (or Visa for Canadians only, Not Americans) that they will cover car insurance OR 3. You will Have to buy their insurance. No argument (and don't try to get another car without a reservation from another company. You'll be walking). 4. You Must put a fat deductible on your credit even If you buy their insurance. 5. From October through March, if temperature is ever less than 44.6 degrees Fahrenheit you must pay 13 Euros ($15-16) additional per day for Winter Tires. Thrifty is the same. BEWARE.
