We had a lovely meal at this upscale British fare restaurant.
Started off the meal with two great gin and tonics, tasting two local (English) gins. A basket of herbed bread and whipped butter were brought out to the table while we waited for meals to arrive.
I started my meal with a tomato and red pepper gazpacho appetizer that was cool and refreshing with bits of artichoke and grilled cucumber within. Two of us also split orders of fresh steamed veggies and a plate of thin-cut chips.
For a main, I chose the prawns. They were served with grilled veggies and mashed potatoes which made for an artful plate. The prawns were cooked just right and all of the flavors mentioned above mixed well in the dish.
A lovely tart dessert capped off the meal just right and created a perfect ending to our night. read more
