Right, I'm sitting here, and for the life of me I can't work out how I can fault the Enjoy Cafe. A thoroughly enjoyable venture all round.
So, you go in, and it looks like a standard caf. It is a standard caf - no airs, no graces or pretence that it's anything but. There is a beauty to knowing what you do, and doing it well, and they seem to encapsulate that nicely. So, sat there with a hot chocolate (made if I'm not wrong with a continental chocolate powder, Banania them ones, not just Cadburys hot chocolate mix and then some silver spoon sugar) with a friend, who had 'a tea'. And it was great. Mine was really good.
And at the end, it came to £1.50. And we immediately thought there had to be a problem, for this is London. But no, 50p for the tea and one British pound for the hot chocolate. So we left happy. Their menu is expansive and cheap (full roast dinner - £4.50 mate), they have an extensive vegetarian section for the breakfasts and it just seems a well put together little endeavour.
Cheap, hearty and full of heart. Check out the aphrodisiac sausages they got advertised. Obv. I didn't, I don't 'do' meat. But they look funny, and there's a little blurb. Quite sweet... read more
