I got three quotes from local businesses for the work and Martinez Brothers had the best price by far. They mowed the front and back yard and cleaned up some weeds in the driveway. They also blew out the dust and cut grass on the sidewalk and curb strip. I think they did a great job at a good price. The person who owns the home is quite picky and was insistent her 4 or 5 plants in the back yard did not get mowed over. Juan not only knew what all the plants were, but was careful to avoid them. The homeowner was also hoping they would trim the overgrowth from the neighbors plants and blow out the patio but overall everyone was happy. Martinez Brothers also offered an excellent rate for bi-weekly maintenance but due to finance issues and anxiety about not always knowing the exact day and time someone would be there, she decided not to take that offer. I have included some before and after pictures to help illustrate the work they did and I would definitely contact this company for work in the future as well as recommend them to anyone looking for a quick clean up or affordable yard maintenance.

Frank came to look at a potential project 9 days ago because it says "call for an estimate". I…read morenever heard back. I guess they do not need the work but I wanted to add on some tree removal as well. Alas, no follow up. I don't like that I have to put a star rating because there is no work to rate but this rating is for the lack of follow-up. UPDATE: Frank, I understand. Maybe just call or text and say, "I'm super busy but you're still on my radar!" Or something to that effect. I still need to get the work done and I even let you know that it wasn't a big rush so I'm not being impatient, just expected to at least have a follow-up. I work a whole bunch too...but I do try to make room for follow-ups for sure.

If I could give Hats Off Landscaping 10 stars, I would! My…read moredad had landscapers that took advantage of him and planted these horrible bushes and lava rock in an elderly person's backyard. He couldn't take care of it and it got out of hand. Frank and his team made it manageable and cleared out the thorny weeds. From the moment I reached out, they responded immediately and were at my property within an hour. That kind of responsiveness and professionalism made a great first impression. They gave me a fair, honest price with no surprises and then exceeded every expectation. The entire team was friendly, hardworking, professional, and incredibly detail-oriented. They didn't just do what they promised--they went above and beyond. They treated my property with care, cleaned everything up, and made sure every detail was completed before they left. Hats Off Landscaping has earned my trust, and I will wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional landscaping services. Because of that I hired him. He not only delivered on our first giant pine tree that covered our beautiful home but I called him back a second time to remove another one and 3 other dying trees that were left from previous owners. Marcelino's team shows up on time, does a thorough job from cutting, to grinding and cleanup. The first time his grinder wasn't working and true to his word they came back with a working grinder in a week and finished the work. I like that I dont have to follow up with him and they just get the work done! After multiple jobs done by him and his team I feel very confident in my recommendation in Beyond Tree Care for all your Tree needs.

I unfortunately did not have a good experience with Marcelino and his team. It started off great…read morewhen he knew they had a big money job coming when I had them cut down and grind stumps on a good amount of large trees. Marcelino was responsive at first until the the job was complete. They did break my sprinklers and bumped into my water system but they were able to repair it the same day. One of the workers also broke my outdoor exercise machine as they were fooling around on it. I let these 2 things slide. What I found out later was that they did not complete the job. They were supposed to grind some stumps but buried it with all of the mulch instead hoping I wouldn't find out. This is when I attempted to get a hold of Marcelino to which he ignored me A LOT. I've remained extremely polite through this process but he still brushed me off continuously and did not pick up any of my phone calls. After letting him know that he will be seeing me in court, he finally responded and sent a guy to finish the job and offered to do some more work that day for free. Then they NO SHOW me not once, but TWICE on appointments. I've taken work off to make sure I was home for them to come which was a complete waste of my time and money. When one of his guys finally shows up with the minimum amount of equipment to do that single job, none of the extra free work promised was delivered. He then disappears after I show him the work he needed to do. So I texted Marcelino again to see where he went to which he said he needed to fill up gas. This I understand but where is the communication? It almost felt like he ran away because he found out he wasn't getting paid for this particular job. After he was done, I continued to try to get a hold of Marcelino for the work that his guy promised but couldn't deliver due to the lack of equipment but Marcelino has ignored me ever since. Anyway, I can go on forever about this business but I'll wrap it up - I'm giving them 2 stars, added one because they actually completed the job after me having to chase them down. But to summarize the way these guys do business: unprofessional, scammy, dishonest, greedy, and horrible communication. I do not like to leave these kinds of reviews for businesses, but I feel that people need to know. Be cautious when dealing with Marcelino and his team.
