She is professional, kind, competent, thorough, and she listens. Moreover, she doesn't have a godlike attitude that too many doctors seem to have today. For more than a week, I have suffered through excruciating pain. Every movement hurts. I cannot sleep a full night without waking up screaming and God forbid I sneeze or cough, as it is a pain that is indescribable. The two ER doctors at two different facilities basically told me that it would be another few weeks of the same and that I would just have to deal with it and push forward. Conversely Dr. Cristancho is really the first to suggest treatment through nerve blockers, whereas one of the two prior doctors only suggested that protocol as a treatment of "last resort" and the other made no mention of it at all. Although I understand that different doctors have different methods, it would have been nice to know that it was even an option. Thankfully, I am aware it is an option now, and although I am psychologically hesitant to have it done just because of the idea of putting needles in my back, I feel totally confident in Dr. Cristancho's recommendation and her abilities.

Now why would I be taking the same moderate dose of meds for the last 10 years from a major accident and be scheduled for my second surgery from it if I was just pill shopping?! Some of us aren't as fortunate as the rest and other pill head jerks have ruined it for the rest of us who can't exactly control the quality of life while we're in more pain then a dang Tylenol! My road to recovery has been long and I can't stand opiates dictating my life. After all I have been taking them for ten years now and I'm praying surgery will help me with having a semi normal life again, fingers crossed, maybe I can be as good as the doctors there are some day and just take Tylenol?! My plan is to start on methadone two weeks after surgery because it is said to have a quick recovery time. Ya see, someone who has been on opiates for ten years cannot just quit! I get it that they aren't very good doctors so how would the know, but there are other options that they refused to address or they are too scared to face the grueling and ugly DA's office who do challenge them. It's pretty easy to throw my charts at anyone who challenged me in the last ten years and I'm not ashamed over what I can't control. Quality of life only exists from the help of my doctors and some of them don't follow the masses , some still do their job! Anyways, hope this helps someone who may be like me. If you are a pill shopper looking at this to find a free pill stand, just hooked on opiates to fill that void, then still go to a real doctor and better your life! There are ways to get off them properly that isn't extremely painful! I know because I did it a few years back! Even though I escaped the dope sickness, the pain was still there to ruin my life! So after three months I went back on them unfortunately. Anyways, still to this day I continue with a medication called Bupropion, it is a miracle drug,,, it makes you want to quit EVERYTHING! Lol for the first time in my life, after 28 years of smoking, I quit! I'm even at 10 months without a single alcohol beverage! I feel amazing, cut back my meds considerably and that used to be hard for me! Anxiety and that "I need a drink to help with the pain" is gone! GOOD DOCTORS helped me get here, don't waste your time here, your better off buying aspirin then this place! Also, just to mention that I have moved because of work to six different states and 11 different towns since my motorcycle wreck and I have been to many different doctors as a result! Now, I am going in and getting lots of great hands on work and doing a lot of exercises on my own. What great service I received from the receptionists to Michael , who was fabulous and the doctor! Yes, my elbow was infected.I received antibiotics to take home, they took x rays to make sure there was not any kind of a fracture , and I was all cleaned up and bandaged and told to come back in two days for the doctor to check on the cut and bruise and infection. I highly recommend MD now they were all very nice and informative.When I got there, the receptionist said there'll be an hour wait and she was a hundred percent correct!

I was there on Saturday, my first time at this location, with complaints of chest soreness and a…read moretickle cough for 10 days I thought I may have needed a prescription for congestion. The Dr. listened to my chest and then decided I needed an EKG. After the EKG while I was dressing, he called out to me and said come out, you are having an active heart attack and need to go to the hospital. I told him I didn't think I was having a HA and he still insisted I He said I was okay to drive and I left with a diagnosis on Non ST elevation myocardial infarction, a life threatening heart attack and tole me he was sending my records to the ER. When I got there, the ER Dr. asked why I was there, I briefly told him and he saw I was holding my EKG, he looked at it and said this doesn't show a heart attack and immediately did another EKG which also did not show a heart attack. They then did blood work and a chest xray which also did not show any abnormalities with my heart. I was there approximately 4 hours, they were very thorough, and I was discharged. I left a message on Monday with MD Now in Lighthouse Point asking for a call from the office manager, to explain how the Dr. could have been so off in his diagnosis. I hope this does not happen to another senior citizen who may have believed the misdiagnosis and somehow panicked and put themselves into an emergency situation from the fear and anxiety. Of course, no one called me back. Although I have gone to other MD Nows several times before when my primary is not available, I will never go back. I don't know how this place is allowed to stay open. I feel I have an obligation to report this to the FL Dept. of Health so that it does not happen to another person.
