The fact that I actually look forward to going to the dentist now is a clear indication to me that something is going right. Lying back with a headset with spa music dancing in my ears, a warm neck pillow, cool shades, pearls of wisdom on the ceiling monitor and the arm and hand massage. I recently had the pleasure of having Tamela (I hope I got her name correct) at the other end of 'the chair' helping me further relax with a touch that truly made everything going on in that room melt away. Her massage is unlike any other I've experienced. I could have gone through a 4 hour visit after this experience! Thank You to ALL staff and Dentists here at the ACCD :)

At my next visit, I received my temporary veneers. I immediately told him they looked too big for my mouth. He told me not to worry and said the final veneers would look smoother, smaller, and more natural. The next day, I emailed the coordinator to explain that I wanted a natural look -- not bulky, not too long or too wide -- just similar to my original teeth with a small upgrade. I already had beautiful teeth, but as I got older, I had some discoloration. The response I received was simply, "Thanks for letting us know." I also called Dr. Cooper again and told him I did not like the temporary veneers and asked him not to make the final ones bulky. He again told me not to worry. Four weeks later, I went back to receive the final veneers. They placed them with temporary cement and asked how I liked them. I told Dr. Cooper they were too big for my mouth, too long, and uneven -- the left side looked bigger than the right. I clearly said I did not like them. He told me he could not change anything and that we needed to cement them permanently. I felt like I had no choice, so they were permanently cemented. After that, I felt terrible. My speech changed because the top teeth were too big. When I talk, I sound different, and I sometimes struggle to pronounce words clearly. When I eat, I have to be very careful. I experience daily discomfort, nerve pain, and gum irritation because of the poor work. I have now spoken to four other doctors for second opinions. All of them said the veneers are definitely too big and bulky, and that is why my speech has changed. They also said the unevenness is due to poor work. I paid a lot of money for this treatment, and now I am paying even more to fix the damage. I lost my confidence, I am in pain, and I feel like Dr. Cooper ignored my concerns and did not listen to me. This has been a very painful and disappointing experience for me

Got a recommendation from friends, and I can honestly say it's a pleasurable experience, despite my fairly significant anxiety about dentists' offices. I went yesterday expecting to have my regular hygienist, Kathy, only to find she no longer works on Mondays. When I tell you I was completely freaking out inside at the thought of seeing someone new...well, I was freaking out. I was also irritated they didn't let me know about the change so I could have rescheduled with Kathy on a different day. Larhonda was my hygienist yesterday, and I just can't say enough about her. She was gentle, kind, and she empathized with me that Kathy wasn't there. She got me all the comforts I usually need to get through a cleaning - a soft blanket, nitrous, and a neck pillow (I'm a baby about these things, what can I say). She was very reassuring and customer service skills were just off the charts. So in hindsight, this situation actually worked out well. Now I have two kind hygienists at this practice, instead of just one. Larhonda is an excellent addition, and I'll look forward to seeing her again. She's lovely. All the more reason I will remain loyal to this practice and continue to recommend them to people like me, who have severe anxiety over dental visits. I truly appreciate how the entire staff is so kind and validates my fears and helps me to stay regular with my appointments. Thank you all!

My family had a very stressful experience with Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry of Atlanta. My mom was…read morereferred here for extractions and implants and was quoted around $75,000. From the first visit, the focus felt heavily on financing--she was encouraged to apply with multiple lenders, and surgery was scheduled within days. The office contacted her repeatedly during the weekend, including in the evening hours, and asked her to set up online banking access so they could see what she could put down. Once I became involved, the finance person and dentist stopped answering calls and did not respond to voicemails. She chose not to proceed and attempted to confirm she would not be charged; after that, communication stopped. She then received a $12,000 CareCredit charge, and the doctor was paid despite no surgery being performed by Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry of Atlanta. We are in an ongoing dispute with CareCredit/Synchrony, which has treated the charge as valid based on signed intake/treatment plan/financing documents, without confirming that the procedure actually took place through clinical documentation (for example: procedure notes, anesthesia record, extraction/implant charting, implant serial/lot numbers, radiographs taken day-of, dated post-op instructions, or other records tied to an actual date of service). We have filed a criminal complaint with the Cobb County Sheriff's Office. Please use caution, ask detailed questions before authorizing any financing, and consider getting multiple opinions/quotes.

(Warning‼ to Potential Clients! 1-Star Review…read more I am sharing my experience at Aesthetic Implant Dentistry of Atlanta to warn potential clients--especially those on a budget or relying on financing--to research carefully before choosing this office. I originally applied for a loan through their office for a procedure I specifically requested. After the loan was approved, I was later informed by Dr. Motoban that the procedure would no longer be possible. In spite of that, the finance company had already paid the office, and I was now obligated to repay the loan for a procedure I was no longer getting. When I requested that the loan be canceled in August, the office stopped responding. For nearly three months, they gave me the runaround and avoided assisting me in any way to rectify the situation. During this period, I was forced to pay on a loan I could not use, while the office refused to cooperate with the finance company to cancel it. My calls were screened, and messages were ignored by the office. I live an hour away, so the only way to get any type of response was to show up in person unannounced. I went into this process very insecure about my smile. They took advantage of that and knew it would fuel me to follow whatever they suggested in order to get approved for a higher loan limit. Once that higher loan was denied, they ceased all communication with me entirely. It wasn't until I began pursuing professional outside options that the office suddenly claimed everything had been an "oversight." What they refused to resolve for nearly four months, they completed in ten minutes once outside pressure was applied. When I finally went to the office in tears, the office manager's "NEW‼ assistant (Mrs. Morah) who had just started and was not involved in the earlier communication--showed genuine kindness and empathy toward me. I shared with her how this experience had terribly affected my credit. Sadly, Dr. Motoban refused to honor my cancellation request and even instructed her not to give me a receipt after I mentioned the possibility of legal action. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage potential clients to read reviews carefully, ask questions, and be cautious--especially if you are working with limited finances or relying on payment plans. Patients deserve transparency, honesty, and respectful treatment from start to finish.

A friend recommended Dr. Choy to me and I am forever grateful. I've been to Aura Dental twice now, once for a new patient visit (cleaning and x-rays) and for a filling and crown. I am considering doing teeth straightening with Dr. Choy as well. Cleaning: Dr Choy used a laminate to finish the cleaning and my husband asked if I had gotten my teeth whitened. They have never been this clean or white after a cleaning (and I went to a "celebrity" dentist in LA). Crown + filling: not a moment of pain. I didn't even know the crown was on and that I was finished. I brought my ear buds and listened to an audiobook and didn't feel the filling or crown. When they told me I was finished, I was shocked. The dental work was completed with a hot towel, an incredible touch! A nod to the level of care and attention you can expect at this office. As I got home and the numbing shots wore off, I took two advil for my jaw soreness (my crown was all the back on my right side. The advil knocked the soreness out. I woke up the next day expecting my jaw to hurt and it felt completely fine! Speaks to the gentleness of Dr. Choy's work. The office: I'd love to live here. It looks so modern and high end. The design is impeccable and the office is so, so clean. I've been able to schedule appointments easily and have always been seen within 2 weeks of an appointment request. I'm going to start scheduling my 6 month appointments ahead of time, because I feel like this office is only going to get busier. The office equipment is brand new technology. My xrays came back and my teeth were shown in high definition. Dr. Choy was able to see a small crack that an older machine might have missed and fixed it with the crown before my whole tooth cracked. In my opinion, having the latest technology is a major benefit to keeping your teeth in the best condition possible. Dr. Choy was also able to see that my bite was off and determine this has been causing my jaw clenching and pain. Her mentor was a bite specialist and Dr. Choy has extended knowledge in this area. We are working to fix my bite with straightening. I am so incredibly grateful to have found an exceptional dentist and someone I can trust.

This was the 3rd of 4 dentists I visited for "smile consultations". I had braces when I was in high…read moreschool but was never really good about using my retainers so my teeth are only mostly straight. Since then, I've also had 2 professional bleachings (3 years apart) and more recently, a deep cleaning for gum issues that are starting to become a problem. My point is, my teeth look fine and no one would ever have anything bad to say about them, but they certainly aren't Hollywood perfect either. I've always been intrigued by veneers and the way they can improve a B- smile to an A++ smile so after thinking about them, and saving up, for the last 6 years or so (I had heard that veneers were approx $1k each), I finally decided this would be the year to start seriously considering getting veneers and Googled my way to 4 cosmetic dentists with fantastic reviews. NOTE: I automatically crossed off the Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry because I knew it would be insanely expensive simply because it's a "name" everyone knows and thinks of first when it comes to veneers. Below, I'm going to review THIS particular practice for the most part and link you to the other dentists so I can keep these reviews as relevant as possible. Also, keep in mind that I'm reviewing these practices for COSMETIC dentistry only. If I were to guess, all 4 of these would be great choices for general dentistry. Dentist #1: Dr. Boulden (http://www.yelp.com/biz/atlanta-dental-spa-roswell) + spent 90% of my appointment talking to the Dr. - $1700 per veneer Dentist #2: Dr. Giesler (http://www.yelp.com/biz/dina-j-giesler-dds-magd-and-associates-atlanta) + spent 85% of my appointment talking to the Dr. + quoted me $1500 total for bleaching & bonding to achieve the look I wanted without veneers + $1500 per veneer if I really want to go that route Dentist #3: Dr. Patel - My appt was for 2PM but I showed up at 1:30 to fill out paperwork, only to discover that the entire office takes lunch from 1-2 daily. A hygienist who wondered to the front desk saw me & attempted to locate the new patient forms without luck so she suggested that I go to Starbucks. I thought it was a bit strange of a suggestion coming from a dentist's office but took her up on it anyway and went next door to stain my teeth for a half hour. + The waiting area is small, but comfortable. There's a big TV playing Planet Earth (yes!) and a smaller TV showing before & after photos of Dr. Patel's patients (kinda gross sometimes) and a chimp getting fillings (??) - Instead of "smile books" like the other offices I've been in, the table here had mostly pageantry and Jezebel magazines. This made sense later on when I learned that Dr. Patel did Miss Georgia's veneers. - At 2PM, Christina, the "new patient concierge" who used to work at "The Center [for Cosmetic Dentistry]", took me to a small office that seemingly had no other purpose except to host consultations. This was unexpected as I had gotten to sit in the usual reclining dental chairs at both Dr. Boulden's and Dr. Giesler's offices. And as the change in setting indicated, I did not actually get my teeth examined at Dr. Patel's (which, in my mind, equals a less accurate assessment of what my needs are). - Similarly, Christina only took 2 pictures of my teeth whereas Dr. Giesler's office got at least 4 and Dr. Boulden's office got at least 10. - I told Christina that I've been really bad with using my retainers so I would like my teeth to be whiter and straighter in general. She recommended that I look into Invisalign for $5500 + bleaching instead of veneers. Umm,...I really appreciate that you're providing me with an alternative to consider but did I not just say that I'm bad with retainers? If I can't even keep those in for more than 24 hours/week, does she seriously think I can deal with Invisalign's 24 hours/day for the next 365 days routine?! If I really had that kind of discipline, I would just use my current retainers for free and get the same results in a year... + Finally, Dr. Patel made his appearance and looked at my teeth pics on the big screen. From talking to him, he seemed very knowledgeable and I got the sense that he is very good at what he does. He said he didn't really think I need veneers but that he would do them if that's what I really wanted (this is a plus in my book because I tend to get riled up when people try to tell me what to do or what not to do). He also said I wouldn't be the youngest person he's ever done veneers on...as a matter of fact, I would be the same age as when Miss Georgia got hers. - I only got to spend 50% of my appointment talking to the Dr. and I found him to be overly nice and a bit fake (we just didn't click). - $2000 per veneer SUMMARY: Very good doctor overall, but I would personally choose Dr. Boulden for veneers based on his expertise, past patient photos, and price.
