I used engineered careers services a couple months ago to help me update and review my old resume I had. I received my resume about two weeks or so after I submitted it, and after some confusions where I had to follow up on it. But it eventually made its way to me. Initially, I was pleased with the service. However, after sending my resume to one of my professors, I realized how many typos, grammatical and punctuation errors my resume had AND I only realized this because he offered to give me some feedback and what I got was "you should always have a second pair of eyes proofread your resume". I was really embarrassed when I heard that and felt frustrated and somewhat annoyed that I hadn't thought of doing this myself before turning it in. I also noticed there were errors in dates. I had already applied to a couple of jobs with the final version, and I can't help but think about turning it in like that. I'm not sure if it was only with mine, or if it's happened with other resumes they've written, but It's the only reason I'm leaving my review- and hopefully it's something they can consider for their future services.
