Brought in my car for a basic job a few weeks ago , researched parts before hand to get a general idea. After the job was done I was charged double the price for half the parts ($350 online for everything, in shop $340 for half the job) then had to pay labor costs. Please read this whole story to see how fair, honest and competent Engine Dynamics is!!! Here is how Engine Dynamics saved me! And, I am sure what happened to me is not an isolated incident. I suspect most car owners never find out because their cars are totaled and people are injured and or killed without anyone finding out. That is exactly what could have happened to me on the morning of 10-20-16. I was driving back from SanDiego and I was half way home in the middle lane on a 4 lane highway when my car just completely stopped running. Dead in the middle of rush our traffic. By the grace of God, I coasted safety over to the side of the road shaking uncontrollably. I had to be towed all the way back to my new mechanic Engine Dynamics in Newhall California. Apparently my fuel pump died and caused several other problems so I didn't know I was out of gas. After paying $1234 to have repairs made, the owner of Engine Dynamics, Brian, told me that the last owner of the car must have been cheap because they put a marked junk yard fuel pump in the car. I proceeded to tell him that I was the only owner! After some investigating it turned out that I had a "New Fuel Pump put into my car on 9/6/14 at another local repair shop. In 2014, This auto repair shop charged me $525 for a new pump that was actually a marked junk yard part!!!. Brian had only charged me $489 for a real brand new fuel pump two years later! As you can see the other local shop is the lowest of the low scum bags and Brian is beyond fair and honest!!! I now know for sure that my pocket book and life are safe in Brian's / Engine Dynamics hands !!! read more

I have found them to always be very honest and upfront with me regarding which repairs I need to do right away, and which things I could maybe hold off on. Wow what can I say. I have parts that were replaced at Firestone to pass my smog. They charges me 82.00 dollars for an 02 sensor for my s10 truck. This part was already replaced and I gave them prof with the original work order from Firestone. How crooket can you be to charge me for the same part. This is robbery and I will never take my truck to them ever again. I have prof that this has happen and also my RPM are running way to high. I will take my business to someone who cares. Honest, wonderful, kind. I always dread going to the mechanic because they typically treat me like an idiot (which I am, when it comes to cars). But Brian never treated me like that. Has a loaner car he would let me drive. First, I have to say, it's been financially tough lately. I put off doing my brakes until today, when they were scraping and sounding horrible. My car broke down (alternator went out) on out trip home from camping. I had it towed to EGine dynamics. We Took the car to Jim at Engine Dynamics. It needed a new alternator. The guys were nice and got my car done in a fair amount of time. My only complaints were the phone calls to upsale me on other things that needed to be "done", but we're done by another mechanic within the last year and the inflated price for the job done. I called a few shops that would have done the job for $100-200 cheaper. I would've taken it elsewhere, but since we were so far from home, making it too expensive to take it to our trusted mechanic.
