He is 6"10 and 300 lbs and needs a place with a high ceiling and a roomy shower whereas he is such a big guy. Well we found a place and went to the open house on May 26th. We really loved the home, checking off most of the boxes of what we needed. We got an accepted offer and filled out the purchase and sales agreement. We had a closing date, septic inspection set up and were going to put our town house on the market that weekend. My realtor sent it to the seller's realtor on May 30th. My realtor had not been able to reach her about returning signed P & S. finally she reached her on Friday 2nd for the sellers realtor to tell her she hadn't had time to get the offer over to the seller for a signature and since an offer came in with not contingency, she was going to take them over to the owner on Sun 3rd. So because the seller realtor dragged her feet because she said she had a lot on her plate going to school and working she also said it was because the seller did not use computers for her to send it to her. . She decided to go with the people without contingency. Not a good realtor at all. Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices Verani Realtor Listed by Jen OHanley BHHS Verani Windham

Goldsmith: In addition to being…read moreextremely personable, professional and patient, Aaron went out of his way to find places that met our very long list of requirements (both my wife and I suffer from multiple allergies and chemical sensitivities). Note that in our experience, Boston area brokers for rental properties are typically incapable of (or unwilling to) keep track of even simple preferences and are often laughably incompetent (e.g. unable to answer even simple questions about the units they are showing). We strongly recommend him for anyone looking in the greater Boston area!

My wife and I just purchased our first condo with the help of Christos from Red Door Real Estate,…read moreand we were blown away by his knowledge, flexibility, and helpfulness. It took us a long time to find the right place for us -- six months and many, many condo viewings -- but Christos was incredibly patient with us through the search and offered his own honest reactions to the places we were looking at. He never tried to push us into a place or into making a decision, and he was very forthright when he saw something he didn't like in a place or that worried him. As first time homebuyers, my wife and I needed an agent that could guide us by the hand through every step and was willing to answer all our questions. Through the entire process, Christos was incredibly responsive to any of our questions or needs. He truly went above and beyond to help us; he answered emails and texts from me at all hours, and after we had a difficult time with the mortgage lender recommended by our bank, Christos was able to recommend another lender that was much more responsive and easy for us first-timers to work with. Christos's advice was welcome and useful, and he was always there to help when needed. At the end of the day, we just finished moving into our brand new place, and it's *far* better than anything we had hoped to find within our budget at the beginning of the process. Christos helped us find the perfect place for us, and I can't recommend him and Red Door highly enough to others!

We worked primarily with Meredith and BJ (with Meredith leading) and not only are they an absolutely stellar team, they are also the kindest, most fun humans to work with. It made what should have been a super stressful experience actually pretty fun. Before getting to know them, two aspects of their business really stood out to us (we met with multiple agents before choosing Boston Home Team): their incredible listing services - especially the photos/videos they provide (I am especially fussy about this as a full-time professional photographer myself) - and the fact that they come in and spend a good chunk of time working with the homeowner on the staging aspect. This ended up being my favorite part of the experience - working with Meredith to make our home look its absolute best. She has phenomenal taste and also offers additional items to fill gaps where needed. My husband thought it was all a bit silly ... until we closed at over 30% over asking price. ;) What we didn't realize in advance was just how much time and effort they would put into marketing our home. They work their social media hard, and the eventual buyer found our home through Facebook ads (they hadn't even been looking in our town). Their communications throughout were top-notch and I felt comfortable reaching out multiple times with silly questions and thoughts, and they were always so encouraging and enthusiastic in their responses. I cannot recommend them highly enough. We are SO grateful that our realtor friend who is no longer in the Boston area was able to recommend them to us.

After interviewing other JP relators, I decided to go with BJ because I was impressed with his depth of understanding of the JP market and the sophistication of his reasoning around timing, pricing, and bidding. Throughout the process I was impressed with the team's coordination, especially Beth, the Director of Operations. The listing/sale process was clearly explained and smooth. BJ and team coordinated the staging, smoke detector inspection, three visits by handymen to address last minute items, and the legal aspects with the attorney they work with. BJ was right on with his pricing and I accepted a final offer a few percentage points above our listing price! I give Boston Home Team my strongest endorsement!

I am a super busy running my business and having them in my corner has been a huge help. Owning and managing rental properties is often like another part-time job, but since I hired Penrose everything has been on autopilot. I used them for a few years to find tenants for my properties with great success, however, when I started to use them for purchases and management that's when they really stood out from the pack. While I've dabbled in real estate and know the basics I've grown so much as an investor since hiring them. They walked me through the numbers of several prospective properties. When I decided on one they walked me through the sale. Next they offered me several budget friendly recommendations on how to maximize my rental income. When the repairs were done, they found a another great tenant and have dealt with any of the annoying things that come with being a landlord. There are plenty of good realtors out there, but if you're looking to take your real estate investments to the next level give them a call.

In particular, I've worked with Eric Chauvin on the purchase and sale of multiple properties, to screen tenants (several times) for rental properties, and worked with him on a fairly large-scale renovation. He makes client satisfaction his top priority. I've worked with other members of the Penrose team as well and they did not disappoint. Their professionalism is second to none. I strongly recommend this firm for any real estate needs.

She talked us down at one point - we freaked out and wanted to raise our bid and she told us to settle down, she thought we had the right bid already. She was right, and now we have a lovely home that we paid the right price for. At our very first meeting, the first thing she did was sit down on the ground with our toddler. She has kids herself, and that was important to us; she understands our priorities. When you're dealing with a real estate market as intense and high-stakes as Arlington's, you need someone who's extremely competent, driven and detail-oriented. We thought it was really important to find a top shelf agent. Julie was exactly on top of every single detail throughout this complicated process; we always felt that we were in good hands and in control of our situation. We highly recommend her.

I actually found GMRE through a site called padmapper.com (which I highly recommend) and was lucky enough to stumble across a truly fantastic apartment. The pictures were great, the posting was clear and concise, and the cost was very fair. I e-mailed, told a little about myself and I said I was available the next night for a showing. Within a few hours, William (the owner) set me up with a time! The apartment was fantastic as stated before, but William (our rental agent) was just as good; super friendly, very well spoken, and incredibly knowledgable. After the showing, he drove us to the T and wished us good luck. I went home, filled out the application, faxed it the next morning, and by mid afternoon that day, I had an awesome new apartment that I'm so excited about. He then set up a meeting for us with the owner, and we went over the lease, sat down at his office, and talked for about 45 minutes and really got to know our new landlord. I believe this was absolutely invaluable, and the whole process took about 4 days, start to finish. HIGHLY recommend!

I just tried to give zero stars, and it wouldn't let me…read more My husband and I had to work with GMRE to see an apartment we saw on Craigslist in April. We know that apartments typically get rented within a day, if not hours, of being posted on Craigslist, so we were prepared to win. We have been looking for a reasonably-priced (max $1300) 1+ bedroom in Somerville for over a year, and have struggled -- we currently live in a teeny apartment on Winter Hill and want to stay in the area, since my husband teaches at the high school. We are both public employees and can't afford to pay $1500 or $1600 for an apartment. So, when we saw this place, we contacted the agent for GMRE listed on the ad, and made it clear we were serious about getting this place and were willing to do anything to see it first. It only cost $1100 for two bedrooms, and they offered off-street parking for our one car, and would also allowed our cat. Even better, they had lead-free paint, which is critical to a young couple like us that is hoping to start a family (but who are stymied by the high cost of renting a 2-bedroom). We said we were willing to put down any amount in order to secure it -- in my experience, getting an apartment comes down to seeing it first and bringing your checkbook. Apparently not with these guys. When we asked to see it, we were told to come by two days later, on Good Friday. Since we celebrate Good Friday, we asked if they could show it to us sooner. After a lot of hemming and hawing, they agreed, and we made an appointment to see it Wednesday night after work. Dan told us "hopefully you'll be the first ones to put in your application -- lots of people want this place!" About ten minutes after we made the appointment, the apartment was RE-POSTED on Craigslist with a different agent's name as an "Open House." WTF?????? Not cool. I should have known then. So we freaked out, we got to the appointment 10 minutes early, and even though there were about 30 people there (annoying), we were the first ones to put down an application. We put money down immediately. We have near-perfect credit, steady income, good jobs and outstanding references from our current tenant. We were thrilled to hear that the landlords, who lived on the first floor, are Italian (like me) and speak Italian (also like me). We waited for days to hear. After having our phone calls go un-returned, we finally got Dan on the phone. He told us it "was between us and another guy" who had gone back the next day with his girlfriend to meet the landlord. Funny. WE were told the landlord didn't want to meet prospective tenants. And when we asked to be given the opportunity to meet the landlords, we were denied. Yet they still ran our credit report, dinging our scores for no reason. And to make matters worse, they kept our down payment and stopped returning our calls and emails attempting to get our check back for days. We obviously never had a chance of getting the place, yet they wasted our time, tied up our money and hurt our credit by needlessly checking our report. Who knows why they favored the other couple? I don't care -- just don't string me along and lie to me. They never even called our current landlord for reference. And, as you'd expect, we still haven't found another apartment. We are quiet, we shovel, we take out the trash, we make small repairs to our unit and we pay our rent early every month. But that apparently counts for nothing. I will never, ever work with GMRE again.
