Updated for Wedding Bands:…read more Came back to design our wedding bands, and it's safe to say we'll be customers for life. Stuart and his team are best in class. Honest, patient, and genuinely open to collaborating with you to create the perfect ring. We stopped in multiple times throughout the process, and our bands came out absolutely perfect. Thank you again to Everett and the whole crew! Had an excellent experience designing a custom engagement ring here. The team was professional, easy to work with, and made the process simple from start to finish. Their selection was great, and the quality easily surpassed what I saw at places like Brilliant Earth. Couldn't be happier with the final result. Will be going back for wedding bands and any other fine jewelry needs.

I called around and Yoli was knowledgeable, friendly, and stated she can't promise a quick same day turn around because that wouldn't be best for my ring. I trusted her and left it with them over the next couple of days. They were able to k spent it closely and detect what was wrong and fixed my loose Center diamond. She made sure I knew the diamond signature number before and after so no funny business went on. Even tho it was a simple service, I still felt like a valued customer. The whole experience was pleasant from my first interactions with Yoli on the phone to taking my diamond wedding ring home a few days later. If I were staying in San Diego, Harold Stevens would be my new preferred jeweler and I would entrust Yoli with all my jewelry needs. Highly recommend, you will not be sorry you chose Harold Stevens. After calling and speaking with Ryan, I went into the shop and he showed me a bunch of different options and gave some ideas of what I might want to go with. We settled on a 14k white gold band which I put an order in for and it was ready in about a week. Although I really was just buying a small ring, Ryan took the time to explain all my options to me as far as materials and prices patiently. It was a great experience and I will definitely be returning in the future for anything else I may need. They also do validate parking in the garage below the building which makes things a lot easier for busy days downtown.

Mark Beauchamp of Jewelry by Design made my anniversary + wedding ring dream come true…read more When I got married, I chose to wear only my engagement ring, since it was so beautiful both on top and in the intricate detail along the sides. I never cared for the wedding band it had originally been paired with. I decided I'd design a custom wedding band for a future anniversary, if I ever felt moved to. Years passed, and I never did, until after a trip to Italy for a major anniversary, when I finally decided to take ten diamonds from a family ring and design two jackets, one for each side of my engagement ring, with five diamonds apiece. Given the shape of my original ring and the need to fit five diamonds on either side, it ended up being a fairly large, striking design. Mark understood exactly what I wanted right from the start. He created a mold so I could visualize the design and confirm it was truly what I envisioned. He also suggested that the center ring remain a separate, detachable piece rather than being fused into one unit, since he felt the three rings would sit better together that way. I came in to see one of the side rings once it was made with the diamonds set, so I could approve the design before he continued. From there, he worked remarkably fast. I had my center ring back within days, and the complete set within two weeks. I ended up with exactly what I wanted. I later had the rings soldered together, since I use my hands constantly and wanted everything to stay perfectly aligned. Mark completed this task with expert precision as well, and at no extra cost. I knew going in that adding the side jackets would mean my center ring wouldn't stand out quite as prominently on its own, but that was a tradeoff I was happy to make for the finished design. From start to finish, Mark both validated my vision and offered thoughtful suggestions along the way. He also did beautiful fine engraving on the sides of the rings to help everything match seamlessly. It's a ring I love wearing every day, and my husband loves it, too. I want to thank Mark for his incredible attention to detail and the tremendous value he provided. His rates were more than reasonable for the level of craftsmanship and care that went into this ring for our special anniversary.

My husband and I bought our wedding bands and my engagement ring from The Diamond Source is 1999…read more The rings were lovely and we have always recommended The Diamond Source to family and friends. When my husband lost his wedding ring, he went back to The Diamond Source to buy a new one. Fast forward 27 years. My husband wanted to have an eternity ring made for me for our anniversary. Of course we went back The Diamond Source. We have had an absolutely abysmal experience with them this time around. They designed a Diamond and sapphire eternity ring for us. While they were designing the ring, I also dropped off my engagement ring to be resized and repaired. The platinum band was bent and 1 of the prongs was completely missing and the other one was loose. Fanny said they could resize and fix the ring. We purchased the eternity ring the day after Valentine's Day and dropped off my engagement ring the same day. We were told it would be ready in 3 weeks and the engagement ring should take a week. When we got the engagement ring back 5 weeks later, it had not been fixed at all, but had been resized. The eternity ring was given to me and I did not inspect it carefully while at the store. The ring kept snagging on everything, so I took it off and looked at it carefully. The stones were crooked, they were almost coming out of the setting in two places. All of the stones were uneven. When I asked about the quality of the setting, Fanny said to bring it back and they would fix it and make it right. We dropped off the ring, fully expecting to be able to discuss the problems with the setting but Fanny just took the ring and said she would call us when it was ready. We never received a call. We called for several weeks and finally, she said she would bring the ring to us. When we got the ring, it was still not set properly. I took pictures of the ring both times. It was very poor work. By this time, I was so upset and just wanted to hs e our money refunded. We called Fanny and after contacting her dozens of times with no return call, she finally answered the phone and told my husband she would talk to the jeweler about refunding the money. Two more weeks passed by. Nothing. We called bs Kason and she said they would give us a partial refund. She said they would send half of the money to us via check and the following week, the other half. We returned the ring and she said she would send half on Monday and the remainder the following week. Here we are in mid June and we still have not received the money from them. The ring was atrocious. The service has been absolutely horrible. 99% of the time we call, we get no return phone call. They don't answer the phone. At their place of business! We will end up having to go to small claims court, because thus far, Fanny has not done anything she promised us. What should have been a delightful experience has ended up being a horrible experience. I would never in a million years have expected this experience from The Diamond Source. We called them today, they answer and then hang up. They have basically stolen our money at this point. The ring was returned and they are not returning the money they promised us. If you want a good experience buying your loved one a gift, my advice is to stay clear of The Diamond Source. They are not the reputable company they were 27 years ago. It's been a heartbreaking experience. If zero stars could be given, that's what I would choose. This has been a horrible experience. Kimberly Jeffery
