I've had a very disappointing experience with the Westime/Tudor boutique in San Diego. Earlier this year, I expressed interest in a specific Tudor model. I was told directly that if I purchased a watch from the boutique, I would be placed on the list for that model. Wanting to be a serious customer, I purchased one watch, then a second shortly afterward. Now, months later, I'm suddenly being told that the boutique requires three previous purchases before they will even offer the watch -- completely contradicting the original agreement. This requirement was never mentioned before, and it only came up after I had already made two purchases based on their word. Changing the terms after a customer commits is not acceptable, especially in the luxury space where trust and transparency should matter. I had genuinely hoped to build a long-term relationship with this boutique, but this experience has made it clear that promises here are not honored. Fast forward to now -- the story has completely changed. Despite previously being told that making a purchase would put me on the list, I was informed that the boutique is now requiring a minimum of three purchases before they will even offer the watch. In other words, after meeting the requirements they originally set and spending thousands of dollars with them, the goalpost was moved without warning. When I raised the concern, the explanation was simply that "business is growing" and expectations have changed. That may be true, but changing the terms after the fact is not how ethical boutique-client relationships work. Transparency matters, and so does honoring your word. I genuinely wanted to continue collecting with Tudor through this boutique, but this experience has left a very poor impression of how they treat loyal customers. Really nice store in a nice area. I had a particular watch to get and was finding it difficult to find it in the US and hassle to import from Europe. My local dealer was very passive about getting me one (ie not looking around too much) but Janette at Westime immediately found one from another dealer and I visited to pick it up. What a difference it makes when you are engaged in your line of work and want to help clients. Like everyone else says - this is a great store to visit to see and purchase wonderful timepieces and especially the incredible works of art in the MB&F displays. I left with my Glashutte Cosmopolite and will enjoy it for as long as I live. Shout out to the cool security guy that day, so much more part of the store than the stuffy guys at south coast plaza, and to the lobster sandwich place next door. First of all the shop is legit. I stumbled upon Westime while meeting friends for lunch across the street for lunch (amazing view of the ocean at Duke's La Jolla BTW). I never been to a Westime store before, and I was very surprised of the store's huge selection of assorted name- brand watches. After lunch, I walked across the street to take a peek inside and was immediately greeted by Janette and her manager sevina. I was super impressed with the knowledge and professionalism Janette had with me. She was very familiar with all of the watches I looked at inside and out. After about an hour, I had my eyes set on an Omega seamaster. The only watch I've ever own were g-shock and my everyday Apple I watch. I now wear my Omega every chance I have. There is a vast selections of brands (I.e., Tudor, Zenith, and GS to name a few) . Even if you're looking for something off the beaten path like a Moser moonphase or a Bell and Ross there's also a solid selection of pre owned pieces, Rolex and Patek. Anyhow as if the watches weren't great enough, Tom provided me with top tier customer service. We talked shop for at least 20 min and took out everything I wanted to try on. One of my good friends and I walked in here yesterday looking completely unkept (I was wearing a plaid shirt and jeans) my friend was wearing motorcycle jeans and a golf shirt and mind you while I'm over 30 and my friend is close to 30 we both look like we're still in our early 20's and we were greeted by the sole salespersons in the shop: Tom. Tom immediately welcomed up and told us we could literally try on everything as much as we want and as many pieces as we want with no questions asked. Tom was a great welcoming sales person. He also knew his watches very well for example I spoke to him in depth about Tudor's eta pieces vs new in-house movements and Tom brought up so very valid points that made me think. Overall I was very impressed with Tom's friendliness and overall knowledge. He could have easily told us not to touch anything or no but he was extremely encouraging and welcoming, if I ever purchase an expensive time piece in the $3000+ range I'll definitely consider visiting Tom for the sale. read more

I called inquiring about a newly released Grand Seiko and Tom answered the phone. He told me he had the model I was interested in. He asked if I wanted to come down to take a look, I said no but I can come on the weekend, 6 days later. I live 2 hours away, making that drive during the week isn't realistic for me. Without asking for a deposit, Tom took my cell number and sent me a picture with the watch on hold for me in the vault. 6 days later I arrived. Tom came in on his day off and allowed me to park in their private garage. Parking is a nightmare at this location. My experience with Westime has been exceptional. In particular, Savina was a pleasure to work with in purchasing an H Moser timepiece for myself and jewelry for my wife. I purchased my timepiece, which had a delivery waiting period, by first calling Westime and speaking with Savina to inquire about the watch I was interested in. She was very patient in explaining the process of purchasing a watch with a waitlist on it, and I went ahead and placed the deposit. Several months later, I received the call from Savina and was delighted that my H Moser had arrived. I completed the purchase and faced no issues in receiving the watch via overnight delivery. I had some questions post delivery and Savina was prompt and thorough in addressing my questions. A couple weeks later, my wife, kids and I made a trip to Southern California for the christmas holidays. I had let Savina know of our trip and that we planned on visiting the Westime store in person during the time I was in San Diego / La Jolla. In addition, I wanted to purchase some jewelery for my wife. Ahead of my trip, Savina shared some jewelry options to ensure that the pieces we liked would be in the store when we arrived. When we finally visited Westime, Savina and her colleagues were amazing. They provided snacks and a toy bracelet for our 2 year old and were cool when she made a mess. They presented the jewelry options that we pre selected and gave us a nice discount once my wife picked a couple of pieces. It started to rain when we left, and Savina gave us an umbrella! In terms of buying a new watch, I'm sure that Westime is a fine dealer. They have great selection and a nice shop. However, BE CAUTIOUS of bringing any older or delicate watches in for service or repair. I brought an older watch (25+ years old) to them for a spring bar repair/replacement and it was returned with scratches on the crystal, scratches on the lugs, and the tritium lume was knocked out of the original hands. I assume it was dropped by the watch maker or by the store employees. Additionally, the factory spring pins that they removed were both thrown away, rather than returned - pins were replaced with basic replacements. I was really disappointed, as I was hoping to find a reliable watch service / AD to use in the future. The store manager was apologetic and waived the ten dollar repair fee, however, damage had already be done on a very special watch. read more

I was in the market for a reliable watch. I had a fancy watch but I found mechanical watches routinely were unreliable - even famous expensive watches - because of the inherent limitations in mechanical watches. I did not want a digital watch but something that looked mechanical but kept time like a digital. I decided on Grand Seiko. I shopped around and was fortunate to have contacted Savina Shivaee at Westime. Savina is amazing. She said she doesn't want to fool around and have me call this guy then that guy. She said here is my best price and it is a good price. I said that's a great price let's do it. Then Covid came which is another story. She continued to follow up on the watch, had it delivered, and made sure I had it fitted correctly. The watch person at Westime fitted it but suggested I may be asking for it to be too tight. It felt great to me but of course he turned out to be right and it was a bit tight, being a metal bracelet. Because of Covid few shops are open. Savina went above and beyond, contacted everyone she knew to have it readjusted and arranged for me to come in on my schedule to correct the problem I made for myself. She continue to follow up throughout until everything was perfect. She is amazing. I will absolutely shop Westime, specifically with Savina, for my next watch. I love her! read more

I rarely write reviews good or bad; however, I recently had one of the most unexpected and incredible customer service experiences and feel compelled to share my experience about Savina S. with Westime La Jolla. I recently celebrated my 60th birthday, and my wife wanted to surprise me with something special to mark the occasion. Knowing I had been looking at a certain TAG-Heuer watch, she decided to go to Westime La Jolla and purchase the timepiece without me knowing. Savina S. assisted her with the purchase and was most accommodating. My wife surprised me with the new watch at a dinner party with our friends, and I was absolutely "floored" with sheer delight at my wife's thoughtfulness and expression of love. My 60th birthday became a treasured memory as did my Tag-Heuer watch. What happened next is where the exceptional service started to unfold. A few weeks later, my new watch developed a definite mechanical problem. My new TAG was under warranty; however, the COVID-19 pandemic crisis had forced most retail stores to temporarily close. Westime La Jolla was one of those stores. I was in a bit of a panic, so I called the store and left a message for Savina. Though it was a weekend evening, Savina immediately returned my call and said she remembered my wife well. She took the time to put me at ease and said that though her La Jolla store was temporarily closed, she could meet me outside the store the next morning (socially distanced), take the watch and send it to the TAG service center for diagnostics and repairs. She assured me it would be under warranty. The next day, I handed off my watch to Savina. She explained that she would try to send it to the TAG service center that day, but with the COVID closures, she was not sure about the exact response timing. That evening, Savina called again to let me know my watch had been safely sent to the service center. Over the next few weeks, Savina called me multiple times with updates on the progress of the repairs. Ultimately, she called to let me know that the service center had completed all repairs successfully; however, the service center, itself, had just closed due to COVID, and Savina was not sure my watch had been sent back to San Diego prior to the shutdown. Within the next day or two, Savina called me to tell me the good news that she just received my watch from the service center and arranged for me to meet her offsite to pick up my new fully-serviced TAG. Her store was still temporarily closed. Unrivaled customer service at night, weekends and through the uncharted restrictions of COVID-19...Savina S. personally went far beyond "the extra mile" simply to ensure our highest satisfaction with her company, Westime La Jolla, and the manufacturer, Tag Heuer. She truly "knocked our socks off"! My new TAG is running perfectly now and is a cherished reminder of my wife's love and my 60th birthday...Words cannot thank Savina enough!!! read more

Tom Ammon was not only helpful, he was actually patient and detailed in ensuring that my purchase went as expected. It is nice to see that a store selling high end watches actually can provide customer service.
