I trusted her and left it with them over the next couple of days. They were able to k spent it closely and detect what was wrong and fixed my loose Center diamond. She made sure I knew the diamond signature number before and after so no funny business went on. Even tho it was a simple service, I still felt like a valued customer. The whole experience was pleasant from my first interactions with Yoli on the phone to taking my diamond wedding ring home a few days later. Highly recommend. There are many options to go and get a ring or your jewelry, but you wont get the professional service anywhere else. From the first time I called down to Harold Stevens and when I showed up, there was no pressure. They are actually complete opposite of pressure sales. I was surprised when we started looking at diamonds that they didn't want me to make any immediate commitments. I have looked at diamonds before, but never have been educated as Harold had did when I met with him. He didn't try and up-sale me on the diamond. He had me pick the diamond I felt was the best for my fiance. After many trips back, I had found the perfect set up and diamond. He also took the time to take pictures and send them to me so I can see at home to make a decision. In the end I had the perfect ring. However, the service didn't stop there. Harold helped me with getting coverage for my ring. I also received a very professional packet on the ring with all the information included. We revisited Harold Stevens to possibly get the ring re-sized and also look for a band for myself. Joy and Ryan took over an hour of their time checking to see if my fiance's ring needed to be re-sized. Once again, they didn't pressure us just to make a sale. Joy was, well, an absolute joy to work with. I recently inherited a pair of european cut diamonds that were once a pair of earrings that belonged to my great great grandmother. After a ton of online research we decided that Harold Stevens was our best bet for a local jeweler with a vintage eye and custom options. Joy was wonderfully helpful in choosing the right metal (white gold without a rhodium coating) to make my heirlooms sparkle. The stones, each around 100 years old, were both chipped and had a slightly warm color, but Joy saw the beauty in their age and sentimental value. After flipping though a ton of settings on Pinterest, Joy offered that they could replicate a striking Art Deco design. About 2 weeks after our visit we received the first CAD drawings of the ring and it was absolutely spot on! About a month after dropping off my stones we picked up the most beautifully made custom ring that is unlike any I've seen before or since! I'm officially "that girl" staring at my own hand, it is more beautiful than anything I could have imagined! They even provided an appraisal at no charge for insurance purposes! I sought out Harold Stevens for sizing, retipping of the prongs, and appraisal of my new engagement ring - handed down from my fiance's grandmother - after reading all the positive yelp reviews. The woman who helped us was very pleasant but stated that the ring would have to be left at the store before they could even provide a price for the work. Finally, she pulled out a book and began to say that sizing down would cost $67. But a moment later, another woman came over and insisted the work would cost nearly $1000 because the ring would be sized down from a 9 to a 4 &1/2. WHAAAA!?! Seriously, $1000 to size a ring!? Anyway she wanted to make a whole new shank or have us get a wax mold made to fabricate a duplicate ring in the smaller size. I felt that the price seemed very high for a simple platinum band with a diamond and two baguettes (i.e. not a full diamond band or any unusual materials). Beyond that, my fiance and I left feeling disappointed that the ring would no longer be his grandma's ring after they finished chopping it to bits. In the end, we asked around for personal referrals and a jeweler in the jewelry exchange did the work while I watched for $70. Granted, the environment there is not fancy and sparkly like H.S., but the ring is beautiful, the diamonds are still securely mounted, it fits me perfectly, and I didn't have to leave my new engagement ring for weeks or even days. My fiance and I walked into the store after have 2 terrible experiences in other stores where we were basically told to come back when we knew what we wanted to spend and what kind of stone, etc. Feeling disheartened, we walked into Harold Stevens and everything changed. We were for sure alright talking about price and were prepared to drop a good amount- but Yolanda made it a really happy event and it is because of her that I was able to find the ring of my dreams. We probably spent about 3 hours in the store and never felt rushed or like we were wasting her time. My fiance also went back to see her 3 or 4 times to look at the actual diamond to place in the setting and every single visit was treated with kindness and excellent customer service. My wife lost the diamond out of wedding ring several months ago. We had originally planned to go to at least three jewelers so as to minimize the chance of making the wrong decision for a new diamond. A friend of a friend recommended Harold Stevens Jewelers so we decided to make this the 1st stop. As it turns out we actually ended up working with Harold (the owner of Harold Jewelers). Harold was great he took the time to explain many of the nuances of diamonds and diamond selection. We spent about 1 1/2 hours talking to Harold and looking at several diamonds. He went as far as to show us two different diamonds with important GIA ratings differences. Once we thought we could pick one over the other he mixed them up and asked us which was which. We were not able to definitively pick one, yet the price difference was significant. We ended up selecting a diamond that my wife is very happy with. We also had Harold's do some work on my worn wedding ring and fix a couple of issues with my wife's ring. All in all it was a really good experience and we believe we got a good deal.
