Definitely make some time for the live presentations they do every hour. We saw the evolution of helmets, defect or not defunct teams, and odd objects from football. These penetrations were only 20- minutes, but we learned a lot! Logistics: 1. Canton is 1-hr drive south of Cleveland. Allocate at least 2.5-3 hrs to do the museum and the presentations. We could have easily stayed another hour, but we ran out of time. There's also a football village around the hall of fame with restaurants and a Ferris wheel to explore, so you could easily downs a half day here. 2. Buy the combo ticket if you plan on doing both the rock and roll and nfl pro football hall of fame. It's $65 and will save you $10+ vs buying tickets individually. Highlights 1. Hall of fame busts were really breathtaking. I can't wait to come back in 20-years to see recent players in more familiar with 2. Exhibit in the latest Super Bowl winners (Philly Eagles) 3. Live presentations

A fan's dream , especially this fan of six plus decades-is to soak in everything about this beautiful and inspiring sport - from attending the Super Bowls to meeting the great players to getting to be part of the Hall of Fame festivities and being in the presence of greatness - 384 Hall of Fame legends. Goose bumps for life indeed! My dream came true as I got to visit and spend some great time in this epic institution and meet my heroes in person. The beautiful displays, the uniforms and helmets from 1925; the ability to design and make my own Super Bowl ring, the write ups about players and teams I did not know much about( 32 teams), the inspiring videos with that music, Steve Sabol's voice. On to comparing my scrawny bony arse 209 lb physique to those of these Greek Godesque superheroes. Then there is the fun and spunky staff that is a walking and talking encyclopedia of sports info. They love football and it is so fitting to have them be our hosts and guides. There is so much more. You need a good 7 hours to truly enjoy and take in all this magical place offers. Parking is $25 per car( cash only) and $200 for an RV. This is a must experience for every NFL fan stateside and also for our new fans in Europe and South America. Love the NFL!

Luckily we were able to visit between 2 holiday seasons and had a beer flight with the Christmas ale, pumpkin ale, hazy ipa, bourdeaux toffee amber ale, and cookie exchange milk stout. Must tries are the Christmas and pumpkin ales. We bought a 6-pack of their Christmas ale cans and checked our luggage on the way home! Pub food was actually pretty good too. Recommend the following: - fried chicken sandwich - polish boy loaded fries The following were just ok - pulled pork pineapple sandwich bread was a bit soggy - pierogies were a nice portion with 4 but not that flavorful Service was really nice and attentive. Gave great recommendations on which popular beers to try. The pub also has 3 floors and we were seated upstairs by a window overlooking the street.

Ugh. Don't know what to say…read more Good and bad. It was very crowded and busy when we arrived for lunch today. A good thing! Great ambience. Incredible. We ordered a pitcher of their Christmas Ale. I'm not a beer person. But I did like this ale. You could tell it was made with exceptional ingredients, the hops was very prevalent. Just a really good ale even for an occasional beer drinker like myself. We had to move tables because the small room was loud. But that's ok. Our server was excellent she really made us feel at home and did everything she could to make uus feel comfortable. Now, both my lunch companion and I both chose the fish and chips. It was a very tasty flaky cod for $19/$21 that came with sweet potato fries or regular fries. Gotta say, the portions seemed awfully skimpy. I realize they weight it, but honestly I was expecting a lot more. I should have gone for the meatloaf. The sweet potato fries and cole slaw were excellent. For dessert, we got the bread pudding, made in house. It was really very good, but my recommendation would be to add more of the sauce. It was a nice thick piece of excellent bread pudding, but as with all bread pudding, the secret is in the sauce that came with it. Aside from very poor food portions, the server we had had all the charm of Heinrich Himmler if he were waiting on Golda Meir. He never looked at you or stopped at your table. You had to state your request as you walked by him. He treated us like we were a complete inconvenience for him. And I noticed he was the same way with every other table, so it wasn't us. Frankly, a charming place with a terrible waiter in need of larger food portions.

Check in was seamless and quick. The hotel was pretty busy because there was a cavs playoff game that day. The elevators are interesting. You select your floor on a wall panel and you are directed to the elevator that will be taking you to your floor. Only had to share an elevator with another human once. The room was also very nice and impressively sized with separate bed and sitting areas and a very large TV with the ability to connect to streaming services. The view was trash, basically the roof of an adjacent building followed by other tall buildings. For this reason, the room was on the darker side/lacking in natural light. The shower was right next to the bed with opaque glass. Location is fantastic. Right spank in the middle of downtown cleveland and within walking distance from many downtown attractions including sporting events, shopping, restaurants, bars, arcade, etc. We randomly didn't get any housekeeping services. Idk if that is a thing or intentional or whatever but it wasn't mentioned at check in. We had to ask for more towels. Also the coffee machine is basically a decoration because the cord doesn't reach an outlet. There were no outlets on one side of the bed. There was one day where it smelled terrible in the lobby for a few hours. I don't know what that was about. We didn't have any issues with cleanliness of the room other than the lack of housekeeping. I would stay here again if the price was right because there certainly are limitations.

There are Yelp reviews from 7-9 months ago, at the time I am writing this, referencing complaints to management about room cleaning and overall cleanliness of the hotel. Nothing has been rectified based upon those complaints. I'd argue it is worse. There is a think layer of dust blanketing almost every non-obvious surface in rooms, in common areas, and on some walls. The floors and carpets that are not vacuumed by their robots show a buildup of dirt and dust. Housekeeping could not be bothered to care to change sheets, take dirty towels, dust, remove trash...care... On the slight positive, the people who are at the hotel that are trying, maintenance, engineering, the front desk staff, and the bartenders at the various venues, are still top notch. It no longer makes up for what used to be one of Cleveland's better hotels in years past. The management of the hotel should be replaced. Ownership should lose their tax abatements.

We arrived around 1:30 PM and were pleasantly surprised that our room was already ready -- such a relief after traveling, especially with kids. However, the new luggage carts are definitely a downgrade. They barely hold anything, and if you have more than just a couple of bags, it turns into a hassle. Really hoping they switch back to the old style. The waterpark itself is always a blast, but I do wish the hours were longer. Closing at 8 PM on weeknights feels early when you're on vacation and trying to fit everything in. Same for the sweet treat shop -- we felt rushed trying to get from the waterpark to the room, get dressed, and then make it down to the arcade and grab treats all within about 45 minutes. We chose the Stay & Play package mainly for the arcade credit ($100 each night), but we didn't realize that when you use the package credits, the games don't give you tickets. That was disappointing, especially with kids who love winning prizes. On the positive side, the kids absolutely loved the Build-a-Bear experience. It was pricey at about $100 for two bears, but it is vacation, and they had so much fun that it was worth it. I also really liked the new charging wristbands -- super convenient and nice not having to carry a card around all day. As for comfort, the waterpark air could've been warmer. I remember it feeling much more comfortable in past visits, but this time I felt cold almost the whole time. The hallways were especially chilly. Food-wise, the Pizza Pub was fantastic. We had it delivered right to our room, and both the pizza and the chicken chunks were delicious -- honestly one of our favorite meals of the trip. Overall, even with a few hiccups, we had a fun stay and would visit again. Kalahari still delivers a great family getaway, just with a few things I hope they adjust back to how they used to be.

We contacted resort staff three separate times with serious concerns during our stay and saw no action taken--only empty apologies. That lack of response was extremely frustrating and made it feel like guest experience was not a priority. Going back to the room for a break didn't help. Our room faced a solid wall, did not have a fireplace as advertised, and we dealt with constant loud door slamming and wall pounding from nearby cleaning staff. It was not relaxing and made it difficult to rest. The conditions in the waterpark were also unacceptable. The lines for the water slides smelled strongly of urine, as if people were urinating while standing in line, which was extremely unpleasant and unhygienic. The wave pool was especially concerning. Chunks of concrete were breaking off the bottom of the pool, and I cut my foot on one of these pieces, about the size of a penny. There was concrete grit throughout the water, which was very unsafe - I gave chunks to the staff to emphasize my concerns. On top of all of this, everything was freezing cold. The wave pool water was freezing, the slide water was freezing, and the hot tubs were not hot at all despite hour-long wait lines with 40+ people. Even the indoor temperature felt cold. For the cost of this stay, none of this was acceptable. Overall, this experience was not worth what we paid and fell far below expectations.
