New to the area, I was pleased to discover Metropolitan Pool Service just 5 minutes away. It saved me a half-hour trip to the nearest Litehouse, as they had everything I needed! Unassuming from the outside, you might not even realize they have a pool retail shop component. It looks more like a pool maintenance and repair company (which they are). However they also have a small storefront, complete with free water testing, any chemicals you might need, some common pool tools, and a knowledgeable team member or two on hand to answer any questions you might have. I found their water test results to be very detailed and informative on just what I needed chemical-wise, and how to apply. What's more, a copy of my results was also automatically emailed to me -- and saved on file for comparison on my next stop on. However do note that being a smaller operation, they don't have the bells and whistles Litehouse does in terms of a variety of pool toys, patio furniture, grills and the like. You'll have to go elsewhere for that stuff. But if you're just looking for a local place to pick up your common maintenance items through the summer, or need any pool repairs or parts, I highly recommend Metropolitan! This is my new pool go-to.

The swim instuctors have taken the time to get to know my son. They know what motivates him. They have used their knowledge base and taught my son comfort in the water. We began with some beginners lessons on Saturday mornings. You sign up through the website. Usually…read morethe day before is a great time to sign up. The facility is located in the old Burlington Coat Factory, and there's lots of wide open space with clearly marked zones to keep folks safe. Dogs on leashes are allowed to accompany you inside, and you're welcome to bring your own folding chair. Several different ranges with targets at multiple distances. There's a practice range for beginners at a 9m distance, and you borrow the club's equipment. There are several coaches on hand, an excellent ratio actually of about 1 to 3 or four, to help you learn proper technique and maintain safety. While they have fun at this place, it's very clear that they want everyone to be safe and learn the right way to shoot a bow and arrow. You can also sign up for an individual membership or a family membership. Those are $50 and $100 accordingly. We went on two consecutive Saturday mornings at 8:30 and had such a great time with excellent coaching. We definitely got better over those two times. We decided it was now time to join with a family membership. You can earn badges once you become a member through the US archery Association and you're also eligible for discounts on equipment when purchased through the club. It's important to note that this is a nonprofit. All the coaches volunteer as do the managers who run the place. That says a lot about their dedication and commitment to the sport. There are range of times during the week and weekends that you can sign up as a member for open shoots and they also sponsor their own tournaments. Open shoots are set for Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Earning badges is usually set for Saturday afternoons. All of the coaches we encountered were super friendly and very thoughtful and providing feedback on technique for each individual. I saw a lot of families there shooting together, as I did with my son however there were also many individuals there. I can't say enough good things about this place.

My son has taken classes through Classroom Antics for a few years now. He is taking classes in stop…read moremotion animation, Lego robotics, Minecraft and coding. He really seems to enjoy and get a lot out of these one week classes. We used to have to take him to different locations were ever classroom antics could rent space. They now have a permanent location in North Royalton which is close to the house. The instructors are very knowledgeable and excellent at explaining the technologies to the kids. These classes are also reasonably priced.
