Their crew is very inconsiderate to residents around work sites. For multiple days over the past 5-6 months they blocked alley and driveways of neighbors with vehicles, equipment, piles of dirt, rock and sand. When asked to move vehicles or supplies the crew acted like they didn't understand English and when my husband asked in Spanish they were offended asking why are you speaking in Spanish. They could have parked on the street or used the home owners driveway for equipment but just to make it convenient for them the rest of us are inconvenienced.

We are being forced to file a complaint with the State of Texas - and pursue legal action against them for breach of contract and fraud.

When I called I specifically told them I needed two jobs done: 1) Back Flow Prevention Assembly…read moreInspection as required by the city and 2) a valve was stuck on one of the zones. They ignored the first job and did the second job. They did check the back flow assembly for water contamination to the house but after-the-fact and as I got to thinking about the city's requirement, I called them and they said the filing of a report with the city isn't covered by the service call. Which is ironic because I got their name from a list of service providers on SC Tracking Solutions, as directed by the city. The only reason I don't reverse the charge is they did perform some work for me. I called them but they refused to do a refund or make an adjustment to the bill. The reason I chose them is because they're veteran-owned and I'm a veteran. But never again. Despite their work guarantee I'll choose someone else next time I need something done. I hate writing a negative review but it is what it is.

These people came in during our emergency pipe burst situation and took advantage of us. They are part of Your Home Expert, a contractor business. YHE told us they would "fight for more payout" because the mitigation company chipped a tiny bit of tile in the hallway while they were tearing out the carpet. Red flag! They are the mitigation company! They know how to game the system so insurance pays out more, and who suffers? You, the policyholder, and your neighbors, whose premiums are just going to go up as a result of higher insurance payout. They claimed they found a mouse in the wall when drilling the holes to dry out the walls. I find this unlikely, because the holes are so small and spaced apart. The odds of drilling directly into a mouse? Small. This was confirmed when I spoke with an actual reputable company, who said that the likelihood is incredibly low. And, even if they did find a half-skeletal mouse, that is not grounds to elevate to Category 3--if anything, they would just cut out that area and clean that area. Speaking with a reputable company made it very clear the difference between a legit, respectable company and this Restoration "Experts" company. Bigger companies try to do as little as possible and be as minimally disruptive as possible. Restoration "Experts" tries to extract as much payout as possible from your stressful emergency situation. They manipulate you into thinking it's "YHE + you VS. Insurance Co" but it's not. If you just ask your insurance company for help, they will help you. ALSO, PSA, if you own your home (no mortgage), YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT WITH THE INSURANCE MONEY (policy depending). Don't let these people lie to you and tell you that you have to use X money for X, because it is NOT true (policy depending). That is straight from the insurance company itself. Double check your policy to confirm but that was the case for me with my insurance company. YHE will probably try to threaten you and say they'll report you to your insurance company and TDI, but news flash! They have no basis to do so and are just trying to scare you. Don't trust these people. Go with a more reputable company. Please.

Damage was done to the doorway and to the refrigerator, contractors hired by PD were an absolute joke, installing wrong tile in bathroom, replacing wall insulation with R12 when R14 was quoted to insurance co, I could go on and on. My wife and I spent over 60 days living in the house with no toilet, no kitchen and no communication from PD. End of story I ended up asking the man from PAUL DAVIS to leave my property with his contractor's and not return. PD left the house as is and I never heard from them again, not a single call from anyone at PD to find out why I asked them to leave. I spent 3 months redoing everything myself! If you can avoid this company I suggest you do.
