We were told it would be about a 10 minute wait. As we went to sit outside to wait, he said to let him know if we wanted any water or coffee while we waited. We were seated not much later and our server was equally as friendly. They have a lot of selections on the menu and I think the prices are very reasonable. My husband and I both ordered omelettes with home fries. My omelette was very tasty and came out piping hot. The home fries were good but they were on the cold side, so not ideal but not a big deal. Coffee refills were frequent, and they also provided ketchup and hot sauce without us asking. The silverware was also very clean, as was our table surface, which is very much appreciated and the sign of an establishment that actually cares. There were people of all ages but also a lot of older people having meals, which I enjoyed seeing. Looks like a lot of regulars come there. All in all, a very good experience. We will come back and try again.

They have free parking, which was great and we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. Luckily, we got a seat right on the window so we were able to watch all the planes with a perfect view. They have quite a large menu with brunch options, as well as a variety of lunch options. Everything looked so good, but I decided to order the Runway wrap! This wrap came with a choice of shell which I chose spinach, and inside it there was grilled chicken and bacon. I also got fries for my side. It also comes with a pickle slice which was a great touch! Service was fast and efficient and the wrap was delicious as the bacon was nice and crunchy and complemented the wrap very well. I know the menu has so many amazing options but I think I have to get this wrap again with how good it was. There was nothing better than having a nice lunch and getting to see the jets and helicopters land and takeoff. It was a free show while you ate. Definitely recommend checking out Jet Runway Cafe!!!

We had ordered pancakes to come after the meals and they were cold from sitting instead of freshly made. Our server made several comments about upper management, not caring about them. We noticed our server was a bit busy so we asked three different employees a refill on drinks and none of them came to help their fellow co-worker so we waited 10 to 15 minutes. Someone had came by and took our plates which had our silverware we had requested fresh ones, again nobody really helped and we had to wait for our server to come after she was running around. Otherwise, food was good (minus burrito) and it's always fun to watch the planes take off.

Couches need to be replaced asap, nothing really matches and it's kinda like I'm waiting in line for a universal ride and I'm being immersed until I get on the ride. Cool place and would recommend for milk tea, didn't have any food

Let's start here: I wanted to love Fyr & Ice. The name sounds fiery and cool -- like the kind of…read moreplace where flavor meets flair. Instead, it felt like the kitchen and the dining room were in a long-term relationship that's stopped communicating. We began with the crispy tofu, which sounded promising -- I pictured something light, golden, and seasoned with purpose. What arrived was tofu on life support. Over-battered, under-seasoned, and fried like it had wronged somebody. I kept waiting for flavor to show up, but it must've taken the night off. Now the chili sauce the tofu was served with was very tasty, it was just that there was so little of it. Not enough to make up for the overpowering batter on the tofu. Then came my kimchee ramen -- a dish that started strong with that first bite of warm broth and tangy kick. But then, plot twist: the kimchee was cold, sitting inside the soup like it refused to participate. The beef had been cooked so long it could survive a hurricane, and the egg... well, let's just say it had passed "soft-boiled" about three minutes ago. My wife, however, lucked out with the udon and shrimp tempura -- nicely done, well-balanced, and clearly made by someone who still believes in flavor. Now, the atmosphere deserves its own mention. The main dining area has all the warmth of a tech startup break room -- clean but cold, not exactly cozy. Then there's the back room, which looks like someone's garage got repurposed into a hangout spot. There's a miniature pool table, an even smaller ping pong setup, and a couch that feels like it was borrowed from your cousin's first apartment. It's quirky, sure, but also kind of confusing -- like they couldn't decide if they were a restaurant, a boba lounge, or a college dorm common room. So yeah, three stars -- because Fyr & Ice isn't bad, it's just having an identity crisis. It used to be so much better and could be again if someone decides to care again. With a little care and a lot more seasoning, this place could go from "meh" to "must-try." For now, it's a decent stop if you're hungry, curious, and not expecting emotional warmth from your ramen.

The first Waffle House was conceived by founder Joe Rogers Sr. and Tom Forkner who met when Rogers purchased a house from Forkner. The two men hit it off and decided to go into business together. The first Waffle House opened on Labor Day weekend in 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia. Rogers wanted to create a restaurant where you could get food quickly while still having table service 24 hours, seven days a week. The name Waffle House was chosen because waffles were the most popular and profitable item on the menu. By the fourth restaurant in 1960, they began franchising Waffle Houses. In the 1970's the company sold off the first Waffle House restaurant. They purchased it back in 2007, restored it, and turned it into a company museum. Today Waffle House has 2,100 locates in 25 mainly southern states. If you have ever taken a southern road trip or needed breakfast in the wee hours of the morning after partying, you likely have dined at a Waffle House. This Waffle House is convenient to I-95 via Commercial Boulevard in Ft. Lauderdale. Craving a hearty breakfast, we headed over on a Saturday morning. This restaurant is a little smaller than others I have been in but the no frill, greasy spoon atmosphere is the same. I always enjoy the historic photos on the wall. My standard order of happiness, a trifecta of perfection is a a pecan waffle, hash browns, and a plate of bacon. Of course you have to get coffee. The staff was running the kitchen like a well oiled machine and everyone was prompt and friendly. I couldn't help but notice how hard the staff was working to keep everything clean. The prices may have gone up over the years but the nostalgia I have for Waffle House is priceless.
