I worked with Molly on two separate occasions. We did six months back in 2014-2015 and recently did a year together. I needed to reconnect with Molly after a nasty bout with covid back in January 2021. Love Dr. Molly! She's helped me sooo much since August 2019. It's definitely been a journey. I've learned how to listen to what my body needs without restrictions. I've naturally learned how to cut back on or eliminate things my body just doesn't respond well to. I've never been one to "enjoy" salads. It's taken me years to get here, but now I just throw in what I want, even if it's just a few ingredients, and my body thanks me for it. Not only that, Molly has taught me how emotions fuel my body, and not in an intellectual way. It's really about leading with intuition, and that's something that develops over time. Molly is wonderful and I could not recommend her more! She's a warm, kind presence and has had a huge impact on my life getting my diet right. Her appointments are done over Skype and she can accommodate later times (8 pm on weekdays) making her the perfect option if you're a busy corporate worker. I wasn't trying to gain or lose weight - I was simply just not feeling good even though I felt like I ate relatively healthily. Molly started me off with some basics on the first appointment and then slowly worked up from breakfast, to lunch, to snacks, to dinner and provided me with perfect, tailored means to get myself feeling better! I came to Molly seeking a quick fix to lose the same pesky 40 pounds that have come and gone from my body over 10 years of yo-yo dieting. I worked with her for a little over a year. I worked with Molly for a little over a year, and she changed my life and my whole approach to eating! If someone were to tell me I wouldn't be using sugar, eating a bag of gummi bears every two days, or eating fast food several times a week, I'd had said they were crazy. Molly is an amazing health counselor. She is extremely likable, is someone who is easy to talk to and work with and supportive in every way. Before I saw Molly, I was already eating pretty healthy, and I was exercising, and honestly, I wasn't really sure if I wanted to spend money on something that I thought I had a pretty good handle on. However, I was just starting my teaching career at the time, and I found that was feeling really overwhelmed and tired, and living in New York you just tend to eat out all the time. It's a 6 month process where you examine YOU, and what you eat, and your habits, good and bad. She introduced a lot of foods that I had never eaten before, and now they are a regular part of my diet. The handle that I thought I had in nutrition, was really blown out of the water. Through Molly, and through books she introduced, I started really learning about nutrition in whole different way. And the sessions aren't just about nutrition, they are about your life in general, and it was really helpful figuring out where good nutrition fits into it. I first found out about Molly through a workshop recommended by my friend who had done the 6 month program. After years in the corporate world I was overweight, had low energy and bad eating habits. When I came to Molly, I was looking for someone to look at my diet and tell me that I needed to cut out carbs, or dairy, or sugar. But what I learned from Molly was quite the opposite. It wasn't about what NOT to eat, but more about HOW you eat. She encouraged me to eat quality carbs like soba, take a day or two to make lunch and dinner for those long days and weeks, listen to what your body wants and doesn't like, and bottom line - be mindful of your eating.
