When she called me about an hour later I went to pick him up hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. I'd seen Vinnie after grooming in the past, anxious and unusually clingy...I had no reason to think it would be any different here. But I was happily surprised when he greeted me at her door and was super happy and not stressed at all. His groom was perfect, just the way I'd requested and the fact Vinnie kept running back to Erin told me he was super comfortable with her. That was 4 years ago and Vinnie still loves going there. I'll say to him, "wanna go get a haircut?" And he runs around the house excited to go. Riley rue has moved into a bigger space now, but the quality of care she gives each dog hasn't changed. My dogs love going and always look awesome. I highly recommend Riley Rue for and companion animal grooming.

The poor guy seemed lonely so a few months later we adopted Miles (Tapioca at the time). Its been a few years and everyone is still happy and healthy. A while ago they build a new shelter on airport road with enough space for them to move to no-kill model. They frequently have events with reduced adoption fees. Medically they take great care of their animals and even include microchips. The building itself has huge cat rooms with cat towers and other things for them to climb. Overall, it shows how much the staff loves animals and wants to place them in good forever homes.

Crazy to think that ending up with 2 rescue style dogs, within months of eachother that were more so in the "timid" category. One we have had one since last November that just went for her first time about a 2 weeks ago, then came home, saved another and decided he was breaking out of his shell and after just the first experience, we figured "let's see what Jess can do!!" Sure enough, the dogs once again loved every bit of it, the contact each time was on point, her attitude and hospitality while also giving you a hint of how she runs her business. Thats how it's done!! But also, the flexibility was perfect, easy to get ahold of and definitely knows what she's doing. Even on our trip we got to share with everyone all the pictures AND videos she was gladly enough to offer!! Our little girls kept saying right off the bat how much they missed there puppy the first time, but shortly after the pics and videos started coming in and had the whole rental car holding back tears of joy and definitely some laughter. Blows your mind sometimes that just from just a random call from word of mouth, BAM! Just like that, it might not be often, but the "shy, timid" doggos that once were, now have a second home whenever they visit just like that. And she sure is a whisperer, because that shell they were trying to break of is gone!! We're not quick to judge good or bad, but remember it's all in the real time confrontation. She nailed it! She broke my dogs jaw and it never healed right and all we got was a "Sorry, it happenes some times" and she needs to be on soft food for the rest of her life, also she couldn't play with her balls/toys and that affected her life a lot. This is just my opinion...but had we been told what COULD happen when she was doing the dental cleaning we never would have said Ok to it. My dog has lost her will to live, she is depressed and NO there is nothing else wrong with her. She is was a very healthy dog until her jaw was broken by Dr Nelson.

The doctors were friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond with the care of my dog. Our puppy got sick yesterday. Breathing issues and vomiting. We sent them videos of what was occurring which they took the time to review. Unfortunately LCV was booked up yesterday and for the rest of the week, but recommended 2 other vets to us, closer to home. The puppy started feeling better towards the end of the day, so we decided to keep an eye on him and didn't take him in. Cut to this morning and the puppy vomited again. While we were discussing what to do, we received a call from LCV letting us know they had a surgery cancellation and would we like to bring our little guy in? Heck yes!! They spent over an hour with us examining him, discussing what had been going on, diagnosing him and educating us on many things, including his teeth! The professionalism, care and concern that they have shines through from the front desk, through intake and definitely with the vet himself. 10/10 recommend Lake County Veterinary Clinics!!

A few weeks later when I brought him there to be laid to rest, I was touched by how empathetic and generous they were to me and my little bear. This is so sad to me as the real victims here are the dogs. I have nothing to gain from having had a dog who was hurt or seeing an individual that I do not know lose their business. It is encouraging there are recent good reviews and I pray no more dogs are injured. I posted a negative review with pictures about my experience here on FB as well as other locations including Yelp!. If you read my review, you will see we had tried to speak with her in-person before posting...thinking it could have been an employee. Anyway, long story short, we were met with unprofessional behavior...I have also seen similar reviews in other places. This has led to almost a year long cycle of this business owner leaving me "compliments" on Yelp! as a method to reach me directly and make belligerent statements. Until recently, that's all they were. Was just sent one today threatening to find where I work and hassle me. I had to finally consider my children's safety in this all and decided it best to file a police report and I am considering a harassment order if the law enforcement warning does not stop it escalating further. In my opinion this just goes to show the validity of my concerns and still concerns me there was and never has been any concern shown or mentioned for our sweet shihtzu. I will not be bullied into removing an honest review and account of our experience.
