Who knew you could enjoy going to get a root canal? I was referred to Dr. Gardyn by my dentist for a root canal. He acknowledged my pain, got me into the office as quickly as possible, numbed me up real good, and completed an absolutely pain-free root canal. I felt totally at ease and relaxed, and not just because of the soft pillow and fun music. Dr. Gardyn was reassuring, talking me through each step, making sure I was comfortable. He genuinely seemed to care more about my comfort than just rushing to get in and out of the procedure. The root canal was absolutely painless, which in my previous experience rarely happens. He even called later in the day to check in and make sure I wasn't experiencing any post-procedure pain. I feel Dr.Gardyn went above and beyond. VERY happy to let any reader know that my root canal experience was a positive as it possibly could have been. I asked Dr. Gardyn on my way out the door -- Novocained mouth and all -- how/where he'd like me to leave a positive review. If you see this text pasted elsewhere, it's because he humbly had no clue and I wanted to cover the bases. Like many of us...I avoid he dentist, and the mere thought of "root canal" is enough to get me -- tough guy, 20 year rugby player -- to pucker. And I I'm here to tell you that the procedure was as close to painless as it could have been. The Staff was friendly, my questions and concerns were addressed compassionately, and the procedure was exactly as they'd explained. Look -- it's a root canal. It was my first time to get a root canal. I was nervous. The office and staff is warm and inviting. Once I was in the chair, everything was done to make sure I was comfortable and feeling no pain. Dr. Gardyn made getting 2 root canals very simple, and dare I say, almost enjoyable!! He is a very gentle and compassionate provider. He was most concerned that I not feel any pain at any time and he explained what was going to happen as he did it, which I appreciated. He and his assistant work together like a well oiled machine, and they even had me chuckling while undergoing the procedure. His staff is very kind and the office energy is quite calming with great music playing in the background. I almost fell asleep in the chair several times. Yes, I am a dental procedure hater. Many of you say the same thing , but trust me I've got you beat. Despite being a rational professional adult with most things, I break into a cold sweat and tears well up at the thought of even a cleaning. So not a happy day when told I need a root canal. Enter Dr. Gardyn. Knowledgeable, patient, skilled, compassionate. Very good at what he does, and also appears to be a genuinely nice guy. FLAWLESS!! Dr. Gardyn and his assistant, Danielle, were wonderful. They were extremely pleasant and highly skilled; all the while, asking if I was okay. Appreciated their sense of humor. It really calmed me down. The front desk assistant, Nan, was also wonderful. Couldn't ask for more or a better experience. Dr. Gardyn even gave me his cell phone number in case I needed to reach out to him over the weekend and he also called me to check on me after the root canal. When here to get a root canal.. my dentist was rude and told me to "grow up I'm too old for this" when I was scared.had a joking manor just to cover up how rude he was actually being. then during the whole procedure made rude and suggestive comments about black people.. talking about black peoples hair and saying the try to make it like white peoples and so on.. very unpleasant visit.. only good thing was I felt no pain. read more

Dr.Moreno is a great provider who speaks in plain English when it comes to what the problem is. Most of the staff is nice but one of the receptionist (not the one I had seen many times before so maybe new?) was somewhat of a bitch on my last visit. I would definitely go back. read more

After a bit of rocky experience at another office I was referred to the Lutherville office and I must say it turned my frown upside down. I saw Dr. Gardyn and he and the team are amazing. The format fest was so pleasant, his assistant during my procedure was nice with a sense of humor to keep you comfortable and most of all he was so nice and free spirited! I feel absolute 0 pain now and during my procedure I only felt minor discomfort that comes with any oral surgery. I was so afraid of the horror stories I hear about root canals but he explained everything to me and any possibility that may happen. Even provided me with his cell number if I have any issues. If I have to return I will def. be back. Dr Simoneaux ( one of the owners) called me from his cell , offered me to call him back anytime, and made sure I was feeling calm and really turned my negative experience better! read more

I was a first time patient today with Jeff Gardyn D.D.S. And I typically avoid dental appointments in fear of pain. However Dr Gardyn was extremely pleasant, knowledgable and empathetic. I had a root canal done and didn't feel a thing. I would recommend Dr Gardyn to anyone. The receptionists and dental assistants were all extremely helpful as well.
