Thankfully, he was able to take me for a lunchtime appointment and I'm glad that he did. The location is in a semi-confusing office building, but there are signs that can help you find it. The moment I came in, I started a pleasant administrative process. The desk staff worked with me and my insurance issue (I have no card and it has to be called in). Every time I apologized for the mess, they were friendly and assured me there was no problem. Sure enough, I was eventually done, even given an estimate on the procedure's cost. The procedure itself was to be expected, but made better by the "bedside" manner of staff. The assistant was polite and nice, asking me questions about my family and helping me to get settled. Dr. Lee was professional and friendly, which was needed. I had a "hot" tooth, which required him to drill all four nerves... a painful experience. He constantly kept stopping whenever I hurt too much, apologized and kept adding more novocaine wherever necessary. Dr. Lee was adamant about trying to make me feel no pain at all, despite my situation making that nearly impossible. Afterwards, the clerk gave me the true final total (even apologizing because it was $50 more than estimated, although still reasonable). I was able to sign out quite quick and Dr. Lee even gave me a discount because of the pain he couldn't quite solve, even though I never expected him to. I assured him that the pain was nothing compared to before the root canal and worth the lack of it afterwards. I certainly hope I never have to use an Endodontist again, but if I do it will most assuredly be Dr. Lee and Hero Endodontics.

Within 10 minutes he diagnosed the pain and outlined a plan to cure it. Due to some anxiety about dental work in general, it took me 2 visits to complete the procedure and for the record, my anxiety was worse than the procedure itself. He and his staff are very understanding, courteous and before, after and during the procedure you remain with a sense that they do care about you and your health and they listen and address your concerns as a patient. Hopefully, I will never need another root canal or endodontist procedure but If I do I will be seeing Dr. Burton again with much less anxiety than I had before my procedure. However, when surgery was complete I never saw the doctor before or after procedure. Jen kept me posted on her recovery, which all lasted in total 50 minutes and she was wheeled out. This was my daughter's first surgery and did not do well with anesthesia and wasn't able to walk out. I wished they had kept her longer in recovery. I have not received a follow up call or email from the office to check in either. Grateful for Jen and the initial conversation with Dr. Brown but not thrilled with post surgical care. ​

I called Advanced Root Canal Specialists, and they asked me how quickly I could get there--the dentist would wait. I was an hour away, and it was approximately 3:30 pm. I arrived around 4:40, which isn't too bad during rush hour. When I walked in, I felt like I was at a spa. The room was gorgeous, with a fireplace going for ambiance. (No heat was emitted, as it was 102° F outside). Two very kind and helpful ladies greeted me and offered me something to drink. I chose tea, since they had various types of calming tea. Afterall, I was getting a root canal, and no one likes going to the dentist. I waited about 10 minutes before I was taken back to a room. Tamara and Dr. Fakhari were amazing. I told them prior to beginning that I am not a fan of the Novocain needle. Tamara put dark sunglasses on me, due to the bright lights; gave me a weighted blanket; and offered me headphones to listen to music. All the while, Dr. Fakhari was giving me a needle that I felt, but in a gentle way. He spoke and joked with me while the Novocain took effect. Then, he gave me a second needle to numb the rest of my mouth. I realized it and said, "I see what you did there." He chuckled, "I didn't do anything," and then, smirked. It was the best experience I have had with the painful part of any dental procedure. Dr. Fakhari told me up front that I have a crack in my tooth, and he may not be able to save it. While it was not news I wanted to hear, I appreciated the transparency and honesty. After what seemed like a few minutes, Tamara took the headphones off of my ears. (I was on the fourth song of the playlist). I was waiting for the news that Dr. Fakhari couldn't save my tooth. Instead, he said, "All done. Not so bad." I couldn't believe it was over. He gave me care instructions, and I left--at 5:45 pm. Wow! I hope I don't need a root canal again in the future, but if I do, I will definitely be calling Dr. Fakhari.

After being in pain all weekend, I made an emergency dentist appointment that resulted in a referral to ARCS. The office offered to call for me and I was told I could come right then. For context, my dentist appointment was at 3:20pm and roughly by 3:40pm I was headed to ARCS. The office is clean and the front desk staff were helpful and professional. I overheard one team member speaking to another patient in Spanish so it's nice to know the environment is accessible and inclusive in this regard as well. I was called back after a short wait and X-rays were taken. Dr. Fakhari then arrived to perform some tests (these suck but are necessary to confirm a root canal is the right treatment) but before the test began he spent time speaking with me and had, quite possibly, the most pleasant, patient, and caring demeanor of any endodontist I've ever met (yes, unfortunately I have seen down this road more than once). When I was weeping during the numbing process, the aide whose name I believe was Alyssa, kindly comforted me, provided tissues, etc. Dr. Fakhari also took things very slow and checked in often. They were both very reassuring. I don't think it's possible to enjoy anything about a root canal so the fact that every other aspect of the experience is positive (including noise canceling headphones, a blanket, and Spotify) means so much. I'd very much love to never need to visit ARCS again but I'm nonetheless very grateful for their immediate availability, kindness, and professionalism across the board.

He was quickly informed over the phone that they take our insurance and the staff gave him quotes for initial X-rays, eval, and cleaning for my mom without dental insurance. The hygienist was thorough and my hubby kept commenting how his teeth felt squeaky clean and smooth for over a week! He took his old, cracked night guard for a replacement. Dr. Cho was very professional and informative in explaining the cause of the crack and recommended an affordable guard and the right thickness that'll protect his teeth. Dr. Cho also kindly taught my hubby how to safely brush his teeth to further prevent gum recession. After my husband's exemplary experience, my mom and I went in for our appt. We scheduled back to back to take turns watching my 15 month old toddler in the waiting area. We arrived early and Dr. Cho greeted us and saw my mom earlier than her appt time. My mom hasn't seen a dentist since my dad passed away 4 years ago, so she was scared. Dr. Cho's chair-side manners were superb which kept her very calm and even enthusiastic about further taking care of her teeth- she needs crowns. Dr. Cho conservatively recommended the work she needs done and before we left the office the front staff gave us quotes for her next visit. As a 7 month old pregnant mom with a toddler, I can say this office is very family friendly. Dr. Cho ordered minimal x-rays to address my worries of cavities and the staff took extra caution when taking the x-rays. The eval and cleaning was thorough and quick so laying on my back wasn't uncomfortable. There was a cute corner for my toddler to play and lots of space to walk around to enjoy her stay at the dental office while grandma's and Mom's teeth were being taken care of by Dr. Cho and his awesome staff. Now that she's familiar with the office and friendly staff, we decided to schedule our daughter's first dental appt, too. We already appreciate our new family dentist very much!
