Service outside of the lady at the jewelry counter was terrible. The store was an absolute mess needing massive recovery and the carpets looked like they haven't been cleaned in a long time. Not even vacuuming them. Belk is such a great company and the need to invest more payroll and attention to cleanliness and service at this store. I really appreciate the customer service from the lady in jewelry she was so nice and very helpful. The store environment was dreadfully hot, understaffed and poorly managed.

BEWARE OF RETURN POLICY (or lack there of) Bought some heels that looked cute and comfy. I tried…read moreon two sizes in the store and noticed that the pair that was too big had a scuff on them. I purchased my better size, got them home and nope... not comfortable. I debated keeping them and suffering through wearing them for shorter events, however, I ended up calling the store to ask about the return policy. The employee that answered told me it was "within 10 days, unworn, tags on for a refund or exchange". Fair. Well, then I went in to the store ~7 days after purchase so I could return for a refund. I was told that they "don't refund for returns" you can only get store credit or exchange. I asked the timeframe and she said "2 weeks". Hmmm ok. I told her I had called and someone had quoted a different policy, but she didn't have any input in to why. I was in a hurry without a lot of time to question further or look around for something else I might like. Thus I settled for store credit (when I would have very much preferred a refund). The lady took a few minutes to dig around for a "gift certificate", which basically consisted of a business card with my name and the amount on it. Not super confident I'll be able to a) keep up with a business card/gift certificate b) be able to redeem it since employees already seem confused on something as simple as the return policy. If you are in any way indecisive when shopping, I wouldn't recommend this store. Also beware for slightly damaged goods on sale for full price.
