My name is Tyler McReynolds, and I have a long history with this business, this location, and the…read morepeople who have been involved in running it - and, unlike many of the reviews, I actually went here. My brother also went here 2 years before me, he was there for 6 months. He was sober 15 years and I was in AA for 10 years consecutively. I know exactly what goes on at this place, regardless of how you guys want to dress it up over time, or slap on a new coat of paint, or LLC. I am sad to see it, but I do find it very fitting, that you all still have Steel on Steel listed on the current website, in 2025. Mark Houston was really proud of that, which I think is a fact that is worth considering, if you guys who work there now were also subjected to it. For others I will explain what Steel on Steel was. Let's say today, right now, there are 30 clients in treatment. All of those people are in a treatment cetner, because something has happened for them to be so down and out, or otherwise confused, that they have now ended up in a treatment center. Many are broken, shunned by their family, and quite simply embarrassed and unsure of how to proceed or even what is going on. Steel on Steel is picking out one of those desparate, broken clients, and forcing them to sit in the center of the room, where everyone else sits around them in a circle. So 40 people sitting in a circle, with 1 person forced out alone at the center. You need a pretty big room for this, and by the way I have photos of the room this took place in. And, I use the word forced, because many of the clients were court ordered to this treatment center, and if staff reported them as being out of line or unfit for release, they could be sent to prison. Bottom line is, no one could refuse anything. You were forced to particiate in any activity, and that most definitely included Steel on Steel. Someone says it's time for Steel on Steel, and once the stage is set - lights and all that as you guys like to say - the next step of the ritual is for the other 29 clients, and any staff members present, to come up with the most cutting remark that they can, about the person sitting in the middle of the circle, in order to completely break that person down, because that person is entitled and delusional - so say the staff. The idea of Steel on Steel is for 30 patients, who have just come off the street, to somehow fix each other with "constructive" criticism, in this way. So: the one client is forced into the center of the room, is not allowed to speak, may not cross their arms, must sit upright, and may not respond for 24 hours afterwards - this client will sit in silence, and they will make eye contact with every client, and every staff member, as they are read these shaming remarks, one by one. And that's Steel on Steel. Mark Houston's proud legacy - a group attack on someone at rock bottom. The idea is to break you, as Mark said. AA people like quotes: "Give a small boy a hammer, and he will find that everything he encounters needs pounding." And who did Mark love swinging that hammer with. But you still have it on the website, like it's some sort of refined art, to gang up and bully and shame people, who have functionally become your prisoners, are completely at your mercy. Really interesting stuff. That was the carrot Mark Houston and others loved to hold over every starving person's head: "Don't like what I say? You are here because you did XYZ, but you have the nerve to question my methods? I'm Big Time Sobriety. Better start taking notes, or you can have fun in prison when we give you a bad report" - and he used the same tactic, to convince families to keep their loved ones locked away for more time. "They aren't ready. Need a 4th month." Here's another interesting thought: every single client is initially recommended 3 months in treatment. For these 3 months, staff plays like they are thinking about each individual the whole time - but then somehow, by some miracle, every. single. client. Is recommended a 4th month, and it's the same price as the others; EXCEPT, the clients who they already know will not be able to afford a 4th month, never seem to need one. Every. Time. It's just amazing. And as any reasonable person would imagine: no one will believe a client's word over Staff, especially a client who was court ordered, which very many are. There will never be any winning for you, while in treatment, over the wise words, circular arguments, and many years of 'Sobriety' claimed by staff. I started drinking as a child at 10, then as often as possible through 12 and 13, substances later, I spent 15 years around AA, eventually staying sober for 10. I also went here. How many of you people, who leave 5 star reviews for this place, because "you've been referring people a long time", can say any of that. Where are all the 20-year sobers. In a 90-year old program. Don't kid yourselves. I will not stand to be disrespected by anyone from this place again.

When she first started, she was still dealing with swelling, stiffness, and pain that made even basic movement tough. The team took the time to assess her injury and build a personalized recovery plan that progressed as she healed. The sessions were a mix of strengthening, balance work, stretching, and hands-on therapy. I appreciated how they explained the "why" behind each exercise, which helped her stay motivated and stick with it even on the hard days. Within a couple weeks, she saw noticeable improvement in her range of motion and stability. If you're recovering from an ankle injury and wondering if PT is worth it--absolutely yes. It made her recovery faster, smoother, and safer. I'm grateful for the care and expertise she received.

So we were able to get an appointment at a different location which turned out to be a mistake. Transferred back to this location and made an appointment with Nicole. When my daughter got there she was told she'd be working with a newly hired PT that Nicole was training. The new PT was doing a terrible intake and my daughter did not feel confident she knew what she was doing. She asked not to be assigned to the new person and saw Nicole for 6 weeks and did help my daughter, therefore the star rating is mixed. Sadly Nicole left Endeavor and so we have not gone back. I would not recommend them. Interesting enough that new hire was removed from the website most likely due to other complaints.

Before I start my review, I have to disclose that I am a mature, professional, open minded person…read morewho have already raised a caring, loving and decent family. So, I've seen it all in my long life. Sage was very educational for me, despite my being there was not for substance abuse issues, but for a mental health hurdle. My review about the place is four-pronged. First the bird's-eye view. The holistic approach in the facility is second to none. They took great care of designing the program with the goal of calming down the shattered psyche of substance abuse prone patients and giving them resources to keep sobriety as a their life purpose. The staff is highly professional, while caring. The techs go above and beyond their job descriptions. The chefs were a delight to interact with - they accomodate clients nutritional requests, and would even print recipes of the dishes that you really liked. The yoga instructors made me fall in love with the practice. Their focus is restorative yoga - not the type that requires power poses, overachievers' breathing techniques or Kundalini chasing. Just down to earth, approachable and easy flowing exercise. Thank you Chelsea! You were a Godsend. The supporting personnel love what they do, and they do it really well. They handle your outside stressors for you with grace and patience. The aftercare program helps patients for as long as they need. It brings a great sense of community to the patients. They do reach out to patients after their program is completed. Thank you Clint for being a beacon of light on the recovery community. You are an awesome human and very much appreciated. The facility director, Jessica, tries to help everyone, all the time. And boy, if she facilitates a group session, no one can surpass her in preparedness and focus. I don't know where she finds strength to be so awesome. Then, here comes the second part of my review: the patients. No one were there by choice - which sounds obvious. But it didn't justify why some of the patients I met there needed to be the most obnoxious, spoiled, self-aggrandizing and manipulative lot I ever had the displeasure to deal with. Needless to say, race and/or class are generally the root cause of their unwilleness of doing deep self reflection and confront their borderline psychopathic tendencies to try to walk over and manipulate everyone that crosses their paths. Because I signed at least a couple of NDAs by joining the program, I'm not going to disclose the grainy details of their personal lives - which would be doing exactly what they do among themselves while in the care of the program. There were constant gossiping and attempts of character assassination atempts towards "others". That's because some of them carry their privileged upbringing and learned sabotage techniques to treatment (expecting that no one will figure them out ). They were demanding. They complained if something was broken. They whined if any of their stuff was confiscated. They treated the staff poorly or talk junk about them their backs for entertainment. They played dirty to get access to certain liberties that other patients don't have. They picked on people of different ethnicities. They raised cliques, excluded people for breakfast and then tried to tell everyone how much progress they had accomplished at process sessions... all of that before noon. Then, at the end of the day, they put up their best faces to convince the group that they were recovered, so they can allow themselves a great night of sleep. They manipulate their families to get what they want... at every chance they have. If needed, they flirt with the opposite (and sometimes the same) six to get them to jump on their clique wagons. If their therapist call them out on their toxic behavior, they try to turn the other patients against the therapist.. You get the gist. Most of this behavior is done by little princesses whose families threw their hands up in the air and are desperate. Sage was their last resort. The third part of my review: the clinical staff. My therapist was great. She was caring and compassionate. She did her best to keep everyone level headed, considering the job circumstances. Most of the other therapists were average and one was just a burnt-out. But hey, working on this type of challenging environment is draining to any profession. In the other hand, the facility prescriber - while a good fit for substance abuse patients, was not optimal for mental health cases like mine. She didn't give the patients the chance to advocate for themselves (ever) and prescribed me a med that caused my blood pressure to have spikes. Not good. The fourth aspect of my review: the natural surroundings. That was the main factor that encouraged me to not check out earlier from the program. The campus is surrounded by peace, and the equine program is great. Families: Sage can give your kids tools. But they can't fix personality disorders!

I will not address the overall quality of care he received during his stay in this review. What I will address is what happened afterward -- or more accurately, what did not happen. At 1:30 a.m. on the morning of his death, I received a phone call from a constable, not from Ignite staff. The constable informed me that there had been a "pretty serious medical emergency" and that my father had been found unresponsive sometime between midnight and 12:30 a.m. He stated that staff had called 911 and that paramedics pronounced my father deceased around 1:00 a.m. I was in shock and did not know what questions to ask at that moment. It has now been three weeks since my father's death, and I have not heard from a single Ignite employee -- not a nurse, not a manager, not a care coordinator, not anyone. No one has contacted me to explain what happened. No one has offered condolences. No one has acknowledged that my father died while in their care. To be clear, I am not alleging that Ignite caused my father's death. However, the complete absence of communication is deeply disturbing and unacceptable. The expectation was recovery -- not death in the middle of the night with no explanation afterward. Why did no unit manager, social worker, or director of nursing contact me as the primary contact? Why was there no call explaining the sequence of events? A simple, humane conversation -- "The nurse entered his room to administer his midnight medication, found him unresponsive, we immediately called 911 and initiated life-saving measures, and we are so sorry for your loss" -- never happened. Instead, I am left to imagine what MAY have occurred. For a family who entrusted this facility with their loved one's care, that silence is unfathomable.

They don't provide that. They serve everyone the same meal, not caring about dietary needs. Most employees have horrible attitudes. Yes, there are some really sweet employees, but they are few and far between. They rarely clean this place. I took a picture of the mess under her bed when she was returned on Tues. on Friday I took a picture of the exact same mess. I am trying to get her out of here, but it's Christmas and I can't find anyplace that has administration on duty. Hopefully by Wednesday I can get her moved to a place that wants her to get better.
