    Pool time!

I'll start by saying we are from central Illinois. We have 4 children and two dogs. We do a lot of camping and are spoiled with wooded private spots that are almost always equipped with a fire pit/ grill back home. However, we have camped all over including; Indiana, Florida, Texas, Arkansas, Alabama, just to name a few states. With that being said, if a 3.5 star rating was available, this resort would be that. I will not "over star' though, so I gave this place a 3/5 star review. Also noted is that this was a last minute booking due to our original vacation plans being cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The resort seems to be catered to the 55+ community. Our older children are well behaved aside from normal sibling arguing. They are polite and considerate (most of the time-they are children though). They are used to riding their bikes around our camping area and checking in with us. At this resort, they have had several older residents stop them and tell them something about what they need/ should be doing. I should mention, this resort is mostly comprised of permanent homes and long term reserved spots. I did not expect to see so many prefabricated homes. Children are also not supposed to be in any of the recreational areas without someone 18+. This isn't a complaint, just want to make sure families know. We don't mind rules and understand this helps keep the park in good condition. The recreational building is really nice and includes a kitchen, pool tables, ping pong tables, and a large TV with a DVD player. We weren't able to use the kitchen during our trip due to Covid restrictions and the building had adjusted hours during this time. The shower rooms are nice/ clean. Laundry room also available for campers which is nice! The pool is only open until 5pm. I'm not sure if this was also a Covid restriction but was a bummer. It was a nice pool/ playground area though even though the playground was also closed. Volleyball and tennis courts were nice. Dog park and complimentary dog waste bags provided. Sites are not made for the Florida rain. For most of our trip, the camper was in ankle deep water. A little rock would have gone a long way. Maybe better drainage? We've stayed at other camp grounds in the area and have never had this amount of flooding at our site. Definitely put a damper on the trip. We made the best of it though and the kids/ dogs played in the puddles/ mud. The location is great and gives several beach options in close proximity to the camp ground. Everything seemed clean and well maintained. We made the best of the situation and still had a great time. Not sure we would camp here again unless it was a last resort. Reasonably priced for all the amenities!

Amazing park for the value! The showers for the men had great water pressure and were very clean!!! I had a lot of fun. The staff are extremely friendly and made checking in very easy. The grounds were very well maintained. Lots of places to walk your dogs and open areas with picnic tables You can walk your dogs and then hang out in the park area. Fabulous place to go !

I definitely got my money's worth, walking a little over 13 miles of trails. Most of the trails are well marked, but I did find it hard to navigate some of the trails resulting in me making a couple circles before I found the correct direction... but, extra steps aren't a bad thing, right?! There is a big lake along one of the trails. I was hoping to see a lot of wildlife here, but it wasn't super active. I did see about four different types of birds. There are a good amount of restrooms available as well as areas to have a picnic. I think most of the trails are doable for all levels of fitness as I saw several benches to rest along the way; they are also marked on the trail maps. I only went to explore for the day, but there are many campsites, a nature center, playgrounds and a beach area that I spotted in my park travels.

We are headed back to the original resort we lived in when we 1st moved to Florida. Several things to point out on the plus side of this move.... The pool is amazing, clear and always open. You can have any beverage you want without a nazi shaking her stupid finger at you and talking to everyone like a dog. They will even sell beer in the office :) The rent is cheaper for actual AMENITIES. Notice I spelled it correctly and I also pronounce it correctly. It is NOT amenTities. I don't know how many damn people here say it wrong, but it's so maddening. Several of our snowbird friends will be joining us there and I truly couldn't be happier for that fact alone!! Rambler's Rest is clean all around, I will not have to do my own landscaping, either. The water and/or electricity are stable and won't randomly shut off, forcing boil notices. We won't be ON the river, but maybe 200 yards from it. Maybe, just maybe the skeeters and damn no-see-ums will give my poor body a break . We finally get to live near Cindy and John again!!! All of my sweet friends in park models here, though.... They aren't going. They were forced to sell their homes for next to nothing and they are scattered around, with most being in the same area code. We will still have to get together for Happy Hours come Snowbird season. Can't miss out on those. The most glorious part of all is that there will be nobody named Ann Moreland there to make everyone's life a living Hell. If the current owner has any thoughts or brains at all as a business man, he would do a quick survey and an internet search for both of his parks and take those reviews quite literally. He should also reach out to the employees that he had around last Christmas and inquire as to why he didn't get "thank you" from them for their supposed Christmas Bonus. Maybe he'll find out that Ann Moreland didn't actually give the bonus to them. Well, she DID, but it was to strictly to purchase the materials to fix her home that was damaged by last year's hurricanes. FEMA didn't assist her, as her home isn't even in her name. I guess she had to get it fixed somehow. Maybe she'll finally get busted for her insurance fraud claims on both of her cars, as well. Oh, and let us not forget to tell the owner that the new deck that was supposed to be done on the blue house at CV 3 years ago was actually "accidentally" done on the deck of her own house, without his knowledge. Karma hopefully hits her quick and harsh. God don't like ugly, Ann Moreland. One way or another, hopefully one day soon, you'll get everything in life that you deserve!!

We travel often for competitions and this by far has been the best place we've stayed at in Southern Florida. The community is well maintained as were the amenities. There is a washer and dryer in the cottage as well. Love this property and so grateful we found it. Will highly recommend anyone book here as well we are already looking forward to a return trip.

Arbor Terrace claims they can accommodate 45' RVs, but it is simply just TOO tight, with unlevel lots you'll sink in. Go elsewhere! We had to refuse moving, because we just would not have fit & would've hung up our rig. Next door neighbor told us big RVs get stuck in the lots fairly often here. It's a really nice park, overall: clean, quiet, friendly... but the infrastructure fits smaller sized campers, best.

Siesta Key Beach - Drinks at the beach

    Siesta Key Beach

Siesta Beach Experience…read more Overview: Siesta Beach is widely recognized as the number one beach in the United States. During our visit, we found the beach area to be exceptionally clean, featuring powdery white sand that added to the overall appeal of the location. The unique sand texture and well-maintained environment contributed significantly to our enjoyable experience. Parking and Arrival Tips: We parked near the Snack Bar and Gift Shop at the northern end of Siesta Beach. Although there is a substantial amount of parking available, the spaces tend to fill up quickly, especially during peak times. It is advisable to arrive early to secure a parking spot, as finding a vacant space can become challenging later in the day. Water Quality and Shoreline Experience: The water at Siesta Beach was exceptionally clear, offering excellent visibility. Near the shore, the depth was shallow, making it easy and comfortable to relax in the low points. The waves were gentle and calm, creating an inviting environment for lounging and wading. During our stroll along the beach, we discovered several shells, adding an enjoyable element to the shoreline experience. Beach Access and Amenities: Reaching the water requires a lengthy walk across the beach. To assist visitors, mats are placed at certain locations on the beach, making the walk easier and more comfortable. The Snack Bar offers a variety of food and drinks, providing convenient options for refreshments. Adjacent to the Snack Bar is a Gift Shop, which sells a range of beach-themed items and clothing, enhancing the Siesta Beach Experience. They do have a QR code they you can order food, drinks, beach chairs and some other items to be delivered to you behind the life guard stands on the Beach in case you forget your own, kind of cool, I think. Overall Impression and Rating: Based on my experience at Siesta Beach, I confidently rate it 5 out of 5 stars. The exceptional cleanliness, powdery white sand, clear water, and convenient amenities all contributed to an outstanding visit. After seeing firsthand why Siesta Beach holds the distinction of being the number one beach in the United States, I wholeheartedly agree with its reputation. Gulf Coast Terry

Another pro is that there's plenty of shower areas throughout the beach line. Ps: On Sundays they have a drum circle which is always a good time to see people drumming and dancing.
