ONE STAR -- I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO! FOUR YEARS OF DISAPPOINTMENT!…read more
After four years at Just Dance It, I can honestly say this was one of the worst experiences my daughter and I have ever had. I am sharing this review because I believe other parents deserve to know what they may be getting into before investing thousands of dollars and trusting this studio with their children.
THIS STUDIO IS OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE, AND THE VALUE YOU RECEIVE IS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!
The monthly tuition is incredibly high, yet in my experience, the dancers receive little meaningful technical training. No proper technique classes, no dedicated jumps and turns training, and no acrobatics included in that extremely expensive tuition. Instead, the girls spend most of their time rehearsing the same repetitive, uninspiring choreography over and over again.
Parents pay an enormous amount of money, but where is the actual dance education? Where is the technical development? Where is the investment in helping these children become better dancers?
On top of the already outrageous monthly tuition, private lessons cost $100, and even then, you may have to share the studio space with other private lessons. Scheduled times are not consistently respected. Cash payments are required for private lessons and certain other charges, with no credit card option offered.
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR FAMILY TIME -- NOT EVEN ON SUNDAYS!
In my experience, the studio treats rehearsals and other commitments as mandatory obligations without sufficient consideration for children's personal lives, their parents, or family time. Even Sundays are not respected. Families have lives outside of dance, but I felt that this studio expected everyone to organize their entire lives around its demands.
The atmosphere felt excessively controlling to me, almost like a dictatorship: everything was mandatory, and parents were expected to comply without questioning decisions.
Even more disturbing was the treatment of the girls. I witnessed yelling and disrespectful behavior. The owner, Alina, frequently used inappropriate language, including shouting the F-word. Children should never have to tolerate this kind of environment.
I also perceived a disturbing pattern of favoritism. In my experience, parents who constantly flatter Alina and Alex, the director, seem to receive preferential treatment. Parents who raise concerns risk seeing their children pushed to the back of choreography, regardless of their talent or dedication.
I was extremely disappointed by Alex's artistic direction. In my opinion, the choreography lacked originality, creativity, and variety. Considering how much families pay, the quality of instruction and artistic development was unacceptable to me.
The studio was also extremely dirty and poorly maintained during my experience.
The front desk was another source of frustration. ToniE, Alina's mother, was frequently rude and disrespectful in my interactions with her.
My experience with Alina's leadership was among the worst I have ever encountered. I found her behavior disrespectful, controlling, and completely inconsistent with what I expect from someone responsible for educating and mentoring children.
After four years, I regret every dollar, every sacrificed Sunday, and every moment of family time lost to an environment that, in my opinion, failed to prioritize the children's well-being and development.
PARENTS, PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE ENROLLING YOUR CHILDREN HERE. An expensive dance studio should provide excellent technical training, professional leadership, respect for families, and a positive learning environment. In my experience, Just Dance It failed miserably in all these areas.
Don't believe the "wonderful reviews" they are not true. Believe me.
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS STUDIO. I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS!
