I have watched this cause at least 5 people to move out over the past 1.5 years. Most won't say anything because they fear retaliation if they complain. There is a click here and the favorites get very special treatment and are never held to account for violating the rules. Ownership changed several years back, office staff has turned over twice. Office manager always seems aggravated and passes that along to customers if you have a need. This place is right on the highway and is VERY noisy 24/7. Go anywhere else.

The location is very convenient, most needs are within a 10 to 15-minute drive. Western Sands is not a large park, and that may be one of the main reasons for being so comfortable; it doesn't take much to get to know most residents. Management is very helpful and takes good care of the amenities and residents with proper attention. The overall activities are very well managed, and there is something to do for everyone who wants to participate. We intend to continue spending the winters here as long as we can. The host told me I had to make a deposit for the first night. So I did. Unfortunately, on March 20, 9 days before my date of arrival on March 29, I had to cancel as our plans changed and we have to return to Canada early. They only tell you that the deposit is non refundable on your confirmation receipt, after you already paid the deposit. This is policy stinks, and should be changed to make it more customer friendly. We have been seasonal for the last three years. In the last year management changed, and if it…read morewasn't for the wonderful people who stay here, we wouldn't recommend this park. The new manager has locked all the gates going to the big dog park, where they don't clean or weed, has also has a padlock. Most residents prefer to use it as it is sand. The new dog park is smaller and has a kitty litter base, which also doesn't get cleaned, but it irritates the paws. They expanded the storage area, the chain link has not been stretched to be tight, have added a screen, so it acts like a wind sock with rattles. I used to brag about this park and encourage friends to check it out. Now we have weeds everywhere and garbage blowing around, and the so called maintenance is nearly useless. Fingers crossed that all this changes.

The RV lots differ dependent on where you park but this is the cleanest resort we have ever been to. We went to the February concerts, they were amazing. The pool and hot tubs are very clean. The weather was spectacular, it only rained 1 time in 2 months, lots of shopping close by, and many good restaurants to choose from. Of all the resorts we visit, this exceeds in every aspect! The staff and guests are so welcoming and friendly. The pools and clubhouse have a very "resort" vibe. They have a golf putting area, bowling alley, food at the back pool, theater room, tons of activities. The sites are the biggest we have ever found! I'm amazed it's so affordable with all it has to offer. Best of the best!
