Nice enough, but no amenities were open because we went during off season. Very old park that's quite outdated and needs quite a bit of renovation. Quite a few single wide trailers that are used during on season by regular residents that sat empty, the center area was reserved for trailers, it seemed. Like I said, it's okay.

The location is very convenient, most needs are within a 10 to 15-minute drive. Western Sands is not a large park, and that may be one of the main reasons for being so comfortable; it doesn't take much to get to know most residents. Management is very helpful and takes good care of the amenities and residents with proper attention. The overall activities are very well managed, and there is something to do for everyone who wants to participate. We intend to continue spending the winters here as long as we can. The host told me I had to make a deposit for the first night. So I did. Unfortunately, on March 20, 9 days before my date of arrival on March 29, I had to cancel as our plans changed and we have to return to Canada early. They only tell you that the deposit is non refundable on your confirmation receipt, after you already paid the deposit. This is policy stinks, and should be changed to make it more customer friendly. I will never book at Western Sands or any of it's affiliated parks ever again. Thank you, Harvey S - Canadian Snowbird
