I love the concept of making fresh food accessible to everyone and anyone. It's such a great mission. The highlight for us was the nature play area; my little one could have stayed there for hours. They've done a fantastic job creating an outdoor experience that's genuinely fun and engaging for kids of all ages. I also loved the "lead experiences" they host every hour. We joined the chicken feeding, which was a huge hit thanks to Daniel! We felt very safe throughout our visit, and the security team was incredibly helpful and a special thanks to Stephanie for that. We're already looking forward to our next trip back!

The farm has on Thursdays and Sundays a pay what you can farm stand. This has been a tremendous help to the community, especially when Covid hit. When purchasing items it is private so other people cannot see if you need to use the opportunity to purchase items at a discounted price or at full price. There are also many educational opportunities on the farm. Camps for kids, after school programs and other events are available throughout the year. The farm recently opened a coffee cart as well. Swing by and get fresh coffee along with your fruits and vegetables. There are also chickens on the farm and fresh eggs are sold every Sunday. If you like to eat the rainbow, or try new vegetables, this might be the spot for you as well, depending on when you arrive at the farm, you can see the vegetables coming in just after they have been picked to be sold.

I attend every meeting and learn so much valuable information every time! Every month they have the best and brightest investors attend. I'm able to get access to these guys every month I attend. The networking before and after the meeting is unlike any other club. It's your chance to ask the investors anything you want to know. They set aside a couple hours from their busy schedules to help others find their way in real estate. I am so lucky to have found this club! These successful investors are not only great resources but great friends as well. A big THANK YOU to Reggie Lal for being generous enough to give back to the newbie investor population. His knowledge, stories and success are an inspiration. He's one of the only top investors willing to take the time to say hello to all who attend. Can't say enough good things about this club!!! Parking at the Del Mar Hilton is free for those who attend.

I've driven by many times over the years and always wondered about it. Until now. I also wasn't…read moresure if you needed to be a member, but you don't. A friend of a friend was celebrating her birthday and singing for open mic night. She invited us to go. I really did not know what to expect but I did know that it was a neighborhood bar atmosphere. Parking was ample and we were able to park in front. You could hear the music from the outside and the doors were open. They also have a nice little patio that advertised they had had a barbecue earlier in the day. We walked in the front door to this very eclectic small bar and made our way to the front to find our seats with the birthday girl. The tables and chairs were tightly packed, and it was a little challenging to navigate. It was quite loud, but people were clearly having a great time. It was a fun atmosphere and lots of people were dancing. The musicians kept rotating out and different genres were performed on a very crowded stage. You can tell it's a locals' favorite spot and people seemed to know each other. It was definitely an older crowd that night as well. It's a funky little dive bar with a great energy (at least the night we went). They have a calendar of events on the wall behind the bar. They have different kinds of music and different foods depending on the night. If I am in Encinitas and wanting a drink or non-pretentious environment, I would return.

Like punk or death metal is pretty much a no go as I found out a few weeks ago. The acoustics just aren't right for reallyoud music. Or maybe I'm just an old fart. When I was there it was Chines Chicken Salad which my friend said was quite tasty.

Where TF have I been?!…read more Since bailing the past year on these runs, I had the opportunity to participate for the first time in March and again in April. SOOO MUCH FUN!!! Basically, it's like Amazing Race and Scavenger Hunt all in one! There are different stops around Carlsbad (some as far as a mile out), and the point is for you to go to as many stops and get raffle tickets. Usually about 10 checkpoints. Do: -Get there early! As in 5pm early for parking, check in, booth hopping, samples, and pictures. -Register online for extra tickets. Also, you get an email of the map. It's easier than writing all the stops down. -Buy the Adventure Run shirt for $20. You get extra raffle (and beer) tickets at each of the stops you get to. -Like their FB page as there is a secret word for the secret checkpoint. -Plan your route. Best advice is to go to the farthest checkpoint and make your way back! -Stay for the after-party! They raffle off some really good isht (like race entries, headlamps and shoes!!!!) So much fun!!! -Invite your friends... O HAI, ITS FREEEEEEE!!! Note: They have one at the RR in San Diego as well and they are on the 2nd Thurs of each month. I double dip!!!

YES! Just participated in one last month. How did I not know about this free running activity…read morebefore? Free, fun, and not to mention you are also getting a great workout at your own pace. Found out about this on the interwebs (probably through Instagram or something like that) and was looking for activities that would keep me more active. Plus, raffles for legit prizes kind of reeled me in. So I told the bf about it and said it would be a great thing to work out together and hopefully get lucky in the raffles. We love our freebies. If you register early online, you get an emailed copy of the map with checkpoint locations half an hour before everyone else. Plus you also get a few more raffle tickets upon signing in and they give you a plastic ziplock bag to contain your tickets along the way. If you buy an Adventure Run t-shirt, you get double the raffles in each checkpoint as well as double the free beers for the end. Oh and kids are also welcome to run too; they just won't be getting the one free beer... You can arrive as early as 5pm to get some raffles from vendors as well as test some products (shoes, foam rollers, ankle/shin/leg supports, chia seed drinks, etc) until 6pm. From 6-7pm is when the run starts. You can choose to do one of two things in this run: aim to grab as many raffle tickets as you can in the allotted time, or aim to run as much as you can in the allotted time. It depends on what your main goal is. Some checkpoints offer more than 1 raffle ticket depending on distance or activity (taste testings at Menchie's, answering questions from local businesses) and some are of different ticket color. I'm not sure what the latter is categorized for but it helps when they do the raffle drawings (White/red/blue/green ticket # ____). We did about 3.5 miles in the 50 minutes we had and boy was I tired in the end and sore the next couple of days. It's so fun I'm already registered to run the next one in a few weeks with the bf. Although this time around I will just run with the shoes I came in with. Note to self: never run with rental shoes... ruptured blisters on the backs of both heels. Yikes.
