This change came late in the process, after we had begun planning. Communication was inconsistent & the situation was handled very unprofessionally by both the caterer & the general manager. We were also informed the GM actually contacted another venue to make inquiries about our possible booking & run a background on our event coordinator. While this venue advertises hosting outside events, in our experience the room was withdrawn after initial confirmation in favor of others. This was especially significant as the gathering was planned for a senior veteran. Based on our experience, we highly suggest exploring other venues in the area that were much more respectful and professional.

The communication between the staff, families, and school staff is a big reason we stick with the program. While San Diego Unified might not care so much about how a student behaved or their character, Three Treasures does care. They will tell the parent updates from school that you would not otherwise know because the school is too busy to communicate. The homework help is another reason we stay. The other after school programs do not dedicate as much time or ensure your child actually does their homework. It is a godsend that their homework is done when you pick up. I am going to say Three Treasures isn't for everyone. I don't think the kids are coddled here. If you or your kid needs special treatment, this isn't the right program for you. Three Treasures will be honest and let you know that.
