I had some rare weekday time off and wanted to do something that actually counted as indulgent (well, beyond stuffing my face full of cake), so booked a facial via Treatwell (previously Wahanda). I booked on Tuesday evening for Thursday afternoon. Unsurprisingly (it happens with that site), it was a double booking. Thankfully, though, Kaldev emailed me on Wednesday morning about it and managed to find me a Wednesday afternoon slot at 4.15pm. I got such a warm welcome from him when I came in and was settled in to fill out my intake form. Kuldip (who happens to be his wife), was my therapist and brought me into the treatment room. She was very sweet and made sure that the temperature of the room was OK for me before leaving me to get ready. The facial was great - very relaxing, but felt like it actually made a difference to my skin too. She's clearly skilled, and the facial massage was just fabulous. She asks if you'd like her to chat or stay quiet and I chose chat, so left starving because I got a list of the best desserts in the area. Yum! Besides the facial being excellent and the welcome being so incredibly warm, I'll also be returning because it's their own business and they work incredibly hard to make it a success. It's worth rewarding that. And it's hardly a hardship for me to do it by having a pampering session from incredibly friendly people. Can't wait for the next time!

The salon is compact yet offers so much - hairdressing treatments, shellac nails, waxing, massages and even fish pedicures. I like their attention to detail during holidays or festivals, such as the decorations around Christmas and Halloween. I had laser done on my legs. The staff were bubbly and sociable and did all they could to distract me from the awful pain! However, I wasn't convinced they gave comprehensive coverage to the area, which is evident from the square patches left! I also got a manicure and pedicure done, which were not really value for money. I suppose I have tried and tested so many salons that I'm difficult to please! Overall, it's a homely salon that offers virtually all the treatments a girl could ask for from very friendly beauticians.

The lady who did my treatment had been qualified for years and felt very experienced. The massage itself wasn't as hard as I tend to like them but it did relax me and my muscles. A decade on, and I haven't found a better waxing salon. They do offer many other treatments such as laser hair removal, nails, facials and massages. Yet I cannot emphasise enough how talented these beauticians are at removing hair so effectively, quickly and painlessly. Obviously waxing hurts (depending on your pain threshold) but these guys have been the least painful to the MANY salons I've tried out. Nikky was my favourite therapist but she has sadly moved on. However, the rest of the team is just as fantastic. The prices are steeper than other places I've been to but it's worth every penny when you know you're getting superb service. They're very hygienic in their waxing implementation, always run on time and have a great loyalty scheme.
