It was a night of celebration and we were really excited to eat at this restaurant and experience what it had to offer. I am severely disappointed with my experience here. We had a reservation for dinner and were seated right away. We were in awe of the decor and style of the restaurant. It was a little dark so it took a while to notice but we were seated at a booth that had not been wiped down and was really dirty. Staff did notice and apologized, they quickly cleaned the table. We had no problem with this, stuff happens and thought nothing about it. Little did we know that this was just the beginning of what was to come. The longer we stayed the more disappointed we became. We waited a bit for the wait staff to bring our menus, come to find out that they did not have enough menus for us. They had two for a table of 6. Fine we will work with it. Took about 10 to 15 min before they could find more so that we could all view what they had to offer. We ordered and were excited to receive our food soon. While we were waiting someone from the staff asked us if we could pull out the extension cord from the end of our booth. Seems like they were short on extension cords. We disconnected the extension cord from the hot plate and from the electrical outlet off the wall and handed it over. We were starting to get irritated about the combination of "little bumps" and our long food wait time. We were one hour into our reservation and had not received any food. We waited another 15 min before asking about our food. Our waitress let us know that there was a whole other booth that was in the queue before us for food. She apologized about the wait and headed out to the kitchen to find out for us. She came back a few minutes later and let us know that it would be approximately an 8 minute wait time for our food. At that point we just politely asked for the bill for our drinks and decided to leave. We had a feeling that it was going to be more than an 8 minute wait. By the time we left ( about one hour and half from start of reservation) the booth in the front of the queue had still not received their food. My experience with this place was so disappointing and disastrous. It was one thing after the other. Would 100% NOT RECOMMEND. The worst experience I have had at a restaurant. Only good thing I can say is that the staff was kind. read more

So I made reservations here--SPECIFICALLY STATING that I wanted a cave booth, but when we arrived there was only a high table by the bar or outside available. The hostess just brushed off my request for a booth like I asked for. "Sorry, I didn't see that on your reservation" was all I got. So we sat outside by the street, which was okay, except for the server must have forgotten about us because it took 45 minutes to get our food! The server never came to check on us during that time with no water refills, etc. On the bright side, the food was decent and tasted good, but unfortunately I walked away hungry due to the smaller portions offered here. Although poor service made this a bad experience, I am sure the ambiance would make this a fun experience with better service. read more

I went to this this restaurant with my family and it was horrible. First we ordered cheese fondue and it's tasted spoiled, and this was our first time dining here. They did not tell what temp to put it on and it got burnt. Second our food the pizza tasted like cafeteria food and the beet salad I swear to good it was was so thin sliced I could see through it . Then my mom got the this big salad for the same price for the beets salad. Also right while we were about to leave there was a dog in the restaurant and guess what? One of the servers pet the dog went back to serving without washing her hands. My grandma order a steak medium rare and came well done. And it was sooo warm inside. And due to COVID-19 there was a lot of peole inside when it should be 30 percent capacity. ONE employee was wearing a mask, which was the bartender. also the bathrooms were disgusting and water everywhere. read more

My wife and i ate dinner at the Enchanted Forest last night and were VERY impressed with the quality of the food. She had an Eggplant dish which she raved about, and i enjoyed the Chicken Caprese. Both meals were served in a very timely manner with very fresh vegetables and an excellent salad. in addition the wine selection had quality wines from local vintners. All in all a really great meal. And the waitresses were also really friendly and helpful. We definitely will be going back again as this is now one of our favorite restaurants in the area. read more

My husband and I built our own personal pizzas and tried a slice of cheesecake and the chocolate flourless cake for dessert; we were in heaven! I made my pizza with the regular crust, roasted garlic, goat cheese, mozzarella, red onions, prosciutto, mushroom, and black olives. So yummy! My husband had the regular crust with roasted garlic, goat cheese, mozzarella, chicken, pepperoni, black olives, pesto. He enjoyed his pizza as well. We can't wait to check out their fondu experience. It's way cheaper than the melting pot...only $39.99 for a full course meal with filet mignon! My husband and I were excited to try a new place in Placerville. The atmosphere was unusual which made it pleasant. But, our service was very slow with the staff not knowing the status of the kitchen. My husband ordered the salmon special and it did not arrive as introduced by our server. I ordered the pot pie and it was a bowl of stew with a toasted piece of bread on top. Not impressed and would not recommend unless you like surprises and have a lot of time since the kitchen was very slow. read more

It was our first visit at the Enchanted Forest! We were seated right away and greeted by our server Kate! We were given little light up head bands which was fun! Kate was so sweet and friendly and was so helpful in choosing our appetizers and introducing us to Mead. We had the flight of mead which was fun to try the different types! If you have not had Mead you need to try this! Our food came out quickly and was very good! We had the Key lime pie for dessert and was very good also! The ambiance is so magical amd pretty! We found this gem today after going to Apple Hill. We want red to try something fun and different and the Enchanted First was the place. Inside the bar/restaurant looks like an enchanted forest with twinkle lights everywhere. We were seated outside and had the pleasure of Samantha serving us. We even had a troubadour by the name of Tyler singing and serenading us with 80's-90's acoustic tunes. We decided on the full fondue meal, cheese and veggies to start, meats snd a broth and dipping sauces were second course and the finale was chocolate fondue with assorted fruits and cookies. Delicious! At the end our server Samantha crowned me with light flower crown! Fantastic service and wonderful food! We we want to go back. I thought it would be fun to plan a girls night there my guy was happy with his wine flight...five different wines that started with two whites, a rose and two reds. We had forgotten to make reservations at Boger and Laca Cap (Covid restrictions require reservations nowadays) but he was pleasantly surprised that the wines were from the local wineries! read more

I was so excited to take my kids, her dad & mother in law here even if it was an hour in a half drive. I made reservations and picked the fun nature booth. We arrive i tell them the name to the reservation and she had the audacity to try to sit us at a small table so I showed her the reservations even though they can't see it on the computer and she continued to tell me that if we sat at the table I reserved,we could only be sitting there for one hour and if we sat at the small table that I didn't reserve, we could say for 2 hours because they are busy. I was dumbfounded because online it says a party of 4 or more can be there for 2 1/2 hours. I didn't want to make a big deal about that because my mother in law was there. When she realized i wasn't going to just sit,she told me she'd have to go talk to somebody to see if it was ok. Me standing there in even more confusion because I reserved the table.after a few minutes she come back and eventually gave us the table that I reserved weeks ago,they weren't happy about it. Mind you at this point no booths were even taken but she chose to sit us at the furthest back table near the kitchen.It took her about fifteen minutes to even come ask what we wanted to drink. The Potatoes were cold. The carrots and asparagus were halfway cooked. I didn't even say anything about it because obviously that was done intentionally. And if not then that was sad either way it's unacceptable & extremely disappointing! Due to the fact we were told we had one hour at this booth. We didn't even get to do the fondo & that was another big bummer! Due to the carelessness of your staff members and the food quality we definitely will not be returning!! read more

I saw an ad for this restaurant and was really excited to go. I decided this was the perfect place for my mom's 60th birthday dinner. When we arrived it was exactly the atmosphere I was imagining in my head. The staff was very pleasant, warm, and inviting. It was busy so the wait times were longer than I was expecting. Some feedback I'd like to give is to communicate with the customers about wait times for the food so we can choose if we want to wait it out or not. The owner of the store was very accommodating and was so sweet about dealing with upset customers. Would come back but maybe at a less busy time. Our waitress was very nice, but we booked this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday and we requested fondue. When we arrived we were seated at a table in the front by a big window that did not have the ambience that drew us to this place so we asked if we could be moved to a darker area. We were told that that table was chosen for us and that if we moved we couldn't have fondue because the tables were reserved for other parties. We were sat next to two fondue tables that remained empty the whole time we were there. It was very disappointing not to have been able to have the fondue but since we had to choose, the ambience won. My scallops dish was flavored nicely but all but 2 were over cooked and they were tiny. The salmon, crepe, pie and drinks were good. I feel we paid a lot for the amount of food we received and the disappointment of not getting the experience we came for made this place just okay to us. I'm so upset and I never complain, ever. But my stomach is aching because of our experience last night. We had reservations for the FAIRY CATHEDRAL 8-10 people. That didn't happen. Eight of us were CRAMMED into a table of 6 sticking out of the canopy under a bright TV screen. Not the ENCHANTING experience we were hoping for. A Few minutes later we noticed 6 people in the "large good" FAIRY Cathedral table in the back. They could have moved us when the original large party left. Those 6 people were so spaced out in there and we could barley eat we were so crammed. The service took forever. It was at least 15-20 minutes to get drinks. It was slow service throughout, then when we were ordering our dessert the server said there's a party waiting for your table. Are you freaking kidding me! My granddaughter had been excited for this for 6 months but she had one leg off the bench to keep herself up. It would have been so easy to move us after the large party left. We are all very sad and disappointed. Very expensive and I see from the reviews that it's not the first time someone didn't get the table they reserved. Shame on them ...with this kind of restaurant if you don't make the experience right you might as well of been at Applebees. read more

Friends and I had dinner here this week. The food was OK, but nothing to write home about. But, even though items were on the menu, there were no potatoes. They are known to have specials every day, but there were none when we went. Four of us ordered individual pizzas, but we were told that there was only enough for one individual crust pizza. The service was slow. We had a large group and asked for individual checks, but the time to handle each one was at least 20 minutes and the restaurant wasn't full at all. I think all eight of us decided not to return to this restaurant in the future. The menu is eclectic with no real choices for just plain, not to high calorie food. And, everything is expensive. My husband and I visited the Enchanted Forest last night for a rare dinner 'date'. Being fans of all things Celtic, we were excited and hopeful. As my husband went to find a parking place , I walked in to get our table. The sign at the enrty read 'please wait to be seated', so I did. The restaurant did not appear to be busy. A few minutes later a couple walked in who I assumed were known by the hostess as she suddenly appeared and they were immediately seated. At last the hostess came back up to the entrance, I guess to grab menus, and she caught my eye. She did smile and asked if I would like to be seated , and I told her I'd go ahead and wait for my husband who was parking the car. Husband came in and he was taken in by the decor and ambiance. We were seated and given our menus. Wait person was sweet however service was slow. We ordered the Salmon salad, Pesto Chicken Skewers, and Braised beef. When we were presented with the salmon salad, my husband and I were surprised at how 'dainty' it was ..we were expecting a more substantial traditional salad than wat we received. I have to tell you, it was delicious. The salmon was excellent , especially when combined with the fresh dill and cucumber. The chicken skewers were wonderful and my husband loved the braised beef. If this review was for food alone, I woud have given it 5 stars. My husband brought to my attention that a woman who he believed may have been the owner was stopping at every table along the wall and chatting with them. He said he had been watching her , waiting to see if she'd come over and check on us as well, and she never did. I suggested to him that perhaps she knew them all as regulars or friends, and not to put much stock in it. This part of evening did put a damper on our overall experience, but we decided we will come back another time and give it another go. read more

So excited to try a new restaurant in Placerville. We had walked through the restaurant a week earlier and loved the atmosphere. So, we tried it Friday night. Our order was taken quickly and we got our beer right away. However, our order took over 45 minutes before we were served. The pizza looked great. But, the crust was uncooked and my raviolis were just warm. We would have returned them to be cooked and reheated, but, we were afraid it would take too long. For a pizza that cost $29.00, it just didn't meet our expectations. We were really disappointed. We were hoping for a new and fun place to dine. I'm hoping it gets better. I would go back for a beer. But, that's about all. I do wish them good luck though. read more

This place was so fun! We came for our 5th anniversary. The decor is so cute and our waiter Ty was the absolute best. He made the entire experience so much fun, and kept things moving the entire time. The atmosphere is very laid back, and the food was great! We had the full fondue course and it was lovely. This place is PHENOMENAL! The decor is gorgeous. All employees were so attentive and friendly. The owner walked around making sure everyone was taken care of and gave me a cute light-up flower halo to wear as I enjoyed my pomegranate mead. This place is amazing, such a fun experience! I've been a huge fan of VibesUp for a couple years now so I was super excited to try this place. I went with my parents, sister and my 6 year old and we all enjoyed it (even my step dad who is not into foo foo or healthy food at all) I got the beef farro pot pie and the Caprese pizza which were both delicious. I also got the flight of mead since I had never tried it before and they were all great, kind of like cider. The dragonfruit was especially good. My step dad and son split a pepperoni and olive pizza and my sister got the filet mignon. Everyone loved their food and the atmosphere was so much fun and the staff was very nice. They are still definitely on the slow side as they're still fairly new so don't come famished and expect to eat right away. I think it took about an hour for us to get our food but thats what I was expecting and we were in no hurry. I will definitely be coming again! read more

I came in here today to buy a gift card but had to leave empty handed. I walked in and there were two groups ahead of me that needed to be helped. Both were helped quickly, and then it was just me waiting. Three different people that worked there walked by me without saying a word. Finally after about five minutes, a girl came over and said "I know you've been waiting awhile, so do you need help?".... I told her yes, I wanted to buy a gift card. She stared at me blankly for a moment and then said "I'm new I don't know where the gift cards are". I waited for her to say something like "let me go ask someone or let me go check the back" and nothing, so I had to ask her if she could check with someone else (IE the two other employees who ignored me earlier). She said yes then walked away. She was gone for 5 minutes and said her manager was helping smother table and she still didn't know where they were. At this point, I was so annoyed and frustrated I just left. I am super disappointed with this customer service and I really hope this was a one off; but the way the staff treated me here today was pretty terrible. read more

I'd been here before with one other person, and had no issues. I came here again for my mom's birthday, having made a reservation for 6:45, specifically in one of the booths (they say on OpenTable they're for 5-7 people, but I was able to reserve with 4). When we arrived at 6:30, one of our party wasn't going to make it, so I told them it would be 3. They then took us to a regular table, where we noticed that all the booths were occupied. I showed them my phone with the reservation confirmation, and we were told that because we were a party of 3, they couldn't sit us at a booth, and even if we waited, the timing wouldn't work out to get us into one. I also had to tell two different people that we were celebrating a birthday. Not a huge deal, but again, it felt like they don't look at OpenTable reservations. Despite this though, we had a very nice time. The food is good, definitely overpriced though, and it took an hour to get it on a Sunday night, but the ambiance and overall experience is fun. I'd recommend calling them directly to make a reservation and ensure you have the table seating you want. read more
