That's a pretty big deal!! I have read a few of the reviews. I feel people tend to leave bad reviews when they are handed the bill but don't realize that they haven't seen a dentist in years. A dentist often sees your track record for showing up. In fear of you not returning or prioritizing for your checkups; they want you to do more salvageable** work on your teeth up front. So far we talk about which are important to address immediately and which I can wait and see a little longer. I also like my dentist's bedside manner. I have high anxiety when it comes to procedures and will cry right out of the gate. I like that they both take the time to explain what they are doing as they are doing it. Since my original review, I've been back four more times for the exact same problem--an overlay on my tooth that keeps chipping. I was just in the office last week to have it repaired again, and it's already broken once more. What's even more concerning is that it's now starting to cause pain, which I made the dentist aware of during my last visit. I was told the repeated chipping was due to my bite changing. However, this overlay was placed about a year ago. It's difficult for me to believe my bite suddenly changed enough to keep causing the same failure after a year, and then somehow changed again within a single week after the most recent repair. At this point, I'm frustrated because this has become an ongoing issue instead of a permanent solution. I don't feel like the underlying problem has been addressed, and having to repeatedly return for the same repair is unacceptable. I only keep coming back because I don't want to spend the money again and it's under warranty, I just want it finally fixed properly so I never have to come back here ever again!

Instead, a different dentist advised that the crown did not fit and stated she would not continue treatment because another dentist had prepared the tooth. * June 21, 2026: The original dentist informed me the crown could not be used and that the procedure would have to be repeated. I left wearing the temporary crown. * June 26, 2026: I received a call informing me that my appointment had been canceled because the dentist did not want to treat me and that I would need to wait for the original dentist. After contacting the office and requesting that any qualified dentist complete my treatment, I was eventually seen. My tooth was re-prepared, and new impressions were taken. * June 28, 2026: My next appointment was rescheduled because the original dentist was unavailable. * July 10, 2026: My appointment was canceled again because the dentist was sick. * July 12, 2026: When attempting to keep my appointment, the scheduler initially told me she did not want to schedule me because the treating dentist might refuse to place the crown since he had not prepared the tooth. I insisted on keeping my appointment despite being told there was a possibility I would not receive my crown. Fortunately, the dentist evaluated the case and successfully placed the permanent crown that day.

I have always been on top of all my dental visits, check-ups, X-Rays and cleanings (3x/year). Come the appointment for cleaning, the hygienist comes in hot and tells me I have major issues with my gums and need to have a deep cleaning ($140 OOP) and laser gum treatment ($400 OOP) then maintain deep cleanings every 2-3 years with routine cleaning every 3 months because of my "advanced gum deterioration" keep in mind my other dental office with routine check-ups and X-rays never found anything wrong nor have I felt anything out of the ordinary. I asked her to just perform routine cleaning and she refused stating that there is no point to doing that and only a deep cleaning and/or laser gum treatment is what is recommended, I was stuck in the moment and the chair I said go ahead and deep clean it. Also note, the only time I ever did a real deep cleaning it was done in two visits with 2 quadrants cleaned at a time, she cranked it out everything so fast so it was basically a normal messy cleaning labeled and charged as a deep clean. After the cleaning I consulted a few hygienist friends I have and got their opinion, a deep cleaning is pretty extreme and almost unnecessary if you've already had one and maintain good hygiene and regular check-ups/cleanings and they all pretty much summed up how some clinics will absolutely be sales driven and up-sell or recommend unnecessary procedures to rack up the bill. I'm going back to my old dental office and paying out of pocket, I had no idea there's a dark side to this industry and it showed here. The whole process did not feel right at all, it was rushed, sales pitch was fast, filled with strong buzz words and fabricated urgency like a used car lot or old gym memberships. Now let's talk about my teeth, I got my wisdom teeth removed and they really pushed it on me to get them removed in office, which is odd but I tend to trust people that are professionals (shouldn't have). They also pushed me to get all of my fillings replaced and even go on to say I have great insurance, and at this point that should've been a red flag but hey I'm 23 and I'm a bit dense and trusting and it was my first time picking my own dentistry. The wisdom teeth removal was fine and they also decided to do the fillings while I was under. I was told nerve pain would be normal for around a month and unfortunately I got dry socket, maybe my fault not sure... So come to find out the pain is not my nerve it's actually from the filling not being done correctly, which I guess just happens (apparently) ? So at this point I'm told by the doctor I need a crown and root canal $1600 out of pocket for the crown and $300 :) because they maxed out my insurance. I was put under that day, so I was unaware that fillings could fail. I thought it was my wisdom tooth surgery. Anyways I got the root canal done but still unfortunately have pain till this day.
