They are super responsive, absolute professionals, and get your edited photos back very quickly. We had an EMRY creative, Brian, for our engagement shoot and as our lead photographer at the wedding. He was so easygoing and great at giving us directions (we are very awkward in front of the camera and had no idea what photos we wanted to take). My husband and I were out researching venues and visiting our top ones when we ran into Ryan and Emily. We found out that they were local wedding photographers and had photographed many weddings at multiple venues around the area. Where to even begin! My HUSBAND, how weird it is to say that, got married on March 3rd 2024 at Tivoli in Fallbrook CA. I am not the most photogenic person and I do not like my phot being taken. Emry photography is honestly just amazing! Emily and Ryan were so great and professional. My now husband and I hired them for our wedding in Fallbrook and I can tell you that they went above and beyond for us. We had a bad experience with Emry and would not recommend them. They took engagement photos which we feel are awkward, off center, very far away, include people in the background, and do not capture us or our relationship at all. We booked a 2-hour shoot to accommodate two locations and they only shot for 37 minutes. I bawled when I got them back- not a single one was of the caliber we expected based on their website and instagram. We parted ways and found a different photographer who took high-caliber engagement and wedding photos. I predict Ryan and Emily will come on here and say we were late to the shoot yada yada. Well, you can look at my post history and see I am a real person who gives 5-star reviews and I try not to resort to giving negative reviews. But this was not cool and was greedy. Where do we even begin to write a review for the most amazing photographers? My wife and I decided to divide and conquer when it came to booking vendors for our wedding. While we both discussed vendors we found, we found that we were more passionate about certain parts of our wedding. Being a lover of photography I knew from the start that I wanted an amazing photographer. I had heard horror stories of people that never get their photos or other couples simply do not like how their wedding pictures came out. I started looking on the Knot and immediately found EMRY. Ryan was the very first photographer I spoke to. He was so warm and welcoming in our first conversation and when I told him the price we were looking for, he was honest and said he was above our range. He also said that if we weren't the right fit for him, he would be happy to give us feedback on other photographers. In that conversation he said a few things that stuck with me. First, he told us to make sure we are getting the rights to our photos because some photographers take your pictures but want more money to give you access to printing the photos. He also said when you book a photographer through EMRY you are getting unlimited hours the day of the wedding. Lastly, he really pushed for us to have 2 photographers for our wedding of 125 guests. After realizing he might be a bit out of our price range we began to hunt for other photographers. I looked at around 30 other photographers. Many did not contact me back, were difficult to get ahold of, or we simply didn't like their overly filtered photos. It was important to us that our photos looked like us and not like the cover of Vogue magazine. We kept circling back to EMRY. They were always the standard we would compare other photographers to. Interestingly enough, while being the highest rated, they were also the most responsive and the only photographer I can find in San Diego County that offers unlimited hours of photography on the day of the wedding. After a while of searching we finally decided to book them. Worth it, is an understatement. We booked our engagement shoot and they gladly continually worked with us having to reschedule due to weather. When we did the engagement shoot with Brian, we absolutely loved him. He was excellent, friendly, and funny. Needless to say the photos that came out were stunning. Fast forward to our wedding planning and Ryan went above and beyond. Our wedding coordinator was lacking in the area of planning out the wedding timeline. In about 25 minutes Ryan helped us create the perfect timeline for our wedding. What photographer does that? For the wedding we booked 2 photographers and their photobooth. The day of the wedding our photographers were right on time with Sean and Brian splitting up to the bride and groom. They were both very professional, yet really helped us both be at ease on a nerve wracking day. They helped us navigate the craziness of taking photos with our very large families. They also were there until the very end. The photo booth they offered was so much fun and we loved how guests received copies as well as copies for our guest book. Within a week of the wedding we had received a sneak peak of around 50 pictures that were nothing short of stunning. Within 3 weeks we received over 1300 beautiful photos that were taken. The photos they have given us from our special day are priceless. I recently told my wife that they are worth double the price they charge. Even the USB they sent us with the photos was packaged so thoughtfully. The only thing now is to wait for our wedding album, which I am sure will be beautiful. read more

I searched, what seemed like forever, to find the right photographer. I came across EMRY Photography on TheKnot, and messaged him with an inquiry (which I had been sending out all day to a ton of other possible photographers), but then I received a lightning fast response.... The questionnaire was very helpful and both are quick in responding to texts, calls, and emails - which definitely helped put our minds at ease along the way. They are so so sweet and really care about the memories we wanted to make. When our wedding day arrived, Ryan was professional, punctual, and so fun. He really helped capture our story and timeline wonderfully. He and Emily helped my husband and I, our bridal parties, and families feel comfortable with all of the goings on of the day. They gave great direction and were the perfect mix of flexibility and firmness - they were down for everything, but wanted to get things done! We never felt rushed or like we were missing out on anything. Hiring EMRY Photography was probably the best decision we made with regards to our wedding. Ryan and Emily were very professional, prepared, accommodating, and got our photos to us quickly. We LOVE all of the amazing photos they took of our wedding day! For our engagement shoot, Ryan drove an hour to accommodate our request for a beach shoot, showed up early to scout out photo opportunities, came prepared with ideas for poses, accommodated our request to get some photos with our dogs (and was patient with us in dealing with our dogs), and got photos to us within a few days. On the wedding day, both Emily and Ryan drove a good distance to our wedding venue in La Jolla and again, showed up early to scout out photo opportunities. They captured a lot of BEAUTIFUL photos, which speaks to the great work that they do because our ceremony venue had a lot of dead leaves and the reception venue didn't have great lighting. Additionally, they delivered edited photos to us fast--we left for our honeymoon two days after the wedding, and photos were waiting for us by the time we got back (not to mention that our honeymoon happened over the Christmas/New Years holidays, which is when people are often busy with families, so we appreciated them taking the time to work on our photos during that time). In working with Emily and Ryan, one thing was apparent--they've done this before, and in the chaos of executing a wedding, you NEED people who know what they're doing. Having that comfort of knowing that you can set your wedding photographers free to do their thing and being able to feel confident that they will deliver good results is an invaluable feeling on your wedding day. They asked all of the right questions prior to the wedding, and gave helpful feedback to help events run smoothly. Additionally, when logistics changed or other vendors fell through on their duties, not only did Ryan and Emily roll with the punches, but they took initiative to help problem solve, which we can't thank them enough for. At first I was wary about the price, but with price comes experience and quality and I definitely feel that we got both of those in working with Ryan and Emily. My only regret is only being able to get married once, otherwise we would definitely hire them again! read more

After having worked with Emry as photographers at the venue I work at and then for my sisters wedding, I can say that they are some of my favorite people to work with! Their work is beautiful and their professionalism is all you could want in a wedding photographer. Ryan was able to wrangle my 30+ person family for family photos and captured some amazing candid shots. Where do I even start!! :D Emry did an AMAZING job capturing everything from our engagement shoot to our big day! They are professional and a pleasure to work with! Let's just start from the beginning... I met Emily and Ryan at their house so that Emily could do my make up for our engagement shoot. Instantly I felt welcomed and overjoyed to work with them. My (now) husband and I are water lovers so the del mar dog beach was the perfect recommendation from Emry! It was a fun(ny) and joyful experience! Within 5 days from our shoot, we had received ALL of our engagement pictures and let me tell you... I was BLOWN AWAY! When it came time to have a meeting for our wedding, Emry is on top of the Do's and Dont's! They make sure to cover everything so that they can ensure they capture everything you are looking for on your big day. And when that day arrived they greeted us at the venue with the biggest smiles and were already capturing our decor and venue setup! Now typically I like to manage control of my surroundings but I felt so comfortable in their hands I stepped back and let them lead us, and boy was that the best decision! We received our pictures for less than two weeks after our wedding and WOW-o-WOW!! I had been hyping them up so much and they STIL exceeded my expectations! Let me tell you, folks, the pictures are what you will have to remember your big day or any major life moment and Emry will not let you down. They are an amazing team, a pleasure to work with and truly amazingly talented photographers and videographers!
