Where do i even begin with these two? My absolute favorite people ever and on top of that they do fantastic work. I first found yasmine and deshun from my wedding venue preferred list but was already drawn to them by the business name. My wedding was 20s theme and how perfect to have a photographer with the name to my theme! But i knew i had to meet with them first to make sure it was a perfect fit for me. When i finally got to meet them they were absolutely perfect i felt like in our meeting they really understood our needs and they were really willing to work at making the photography as candid as possible as my husband hates all stand still photography. This couple is amazing and such an inspiration to other couples. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and before choosing Yasmine and DeShun as our wedding photographers, I spoke with many, many, many photographers from the Bay Area but one evening I was looking at a wedding magazine and saw this beautiful ad that was shot by Dapper Images. Once I viewed their website and saw how beautiful and unique their work is--I knew I had to have them for our wedding. I emailed Dapper Images at 12:01 a.m. in the morning because I was so excited and I knew I had found our wedding photographers. I was even more excited when Yasmine responded so quickly and was prepared to answer all of my many questions. Yasmine and DeShun are very accommodating. Since we live in the Bay Area--they setup a Skype meeting for us and even talked us through downloading the Skype (we were clueless). The meeting was so great, it was as if we were right there in their studio--they even had a welcome sign with our names on it. My fiance' and I decided to travel (500 miles) to Yasmine and DeShun to take our engagement pictures on November 4, 2012. We met them at their studio (what a beautiful studio) and we were met with hugs and great hospitality. After we sat and chatted for a while we proceeded to drive to our photo shoot site which took place in La Jolla Cove--it was incredible. We never imagined that taking pictures could be so much fun and romantic but the most beautiful thing is how they captured our love--it was well worth the trip to La Jolla. The easiest decision I made during wedding planning was choosing my photographer. Yasmine and DeShun were such a pleasure to work with. They are like photographers sent from heaven. Made our engagement shoot so comfortable and the day of the wedding things went so smoothly. Call them right now! I know you're thinking about it or you wouldn't be on Yelp reading reviews. I checked out a dozen photographers for my wedding and I will say, they were not bad at all. Pretty pictures, nice people; however, there is something incredibly special and mesmerizing about Yasmine and Deshun's photos. They individually have an incredible eye for detail and you put these two together and my goodness: you, your event, your guests will look like you stepped out of a magazine. The range of photos and shots I have from my wedding still blow my mind when I look at them years later. Every person who sees them comments and asks about who took them. I mean, it's easy to take a nice photo, it's much more difficult to take hundreds that all are unique and special in their own way. They made a quaint church look like a cathedral, a modest bride and groom look like fashion models and a our own home (the reception location) look like a grand garden. Amazement isn't the word. These two know how to make you look exactly how you tell them you want to look. Yasmine made a point to call me before my event to discuss exactly what I wanted, and she came to my event in tow with notes that she reviewed to ensure every shot I wanted was executed. Deshun will go to any means to get a great shot! Often I would turn around I would find him crouched on the dirty floor taking pictures from these incredible angles--no easy feat for a very tall man. The results were the most interesting perspective and figure flattering images. Yasmine has such an eye for fashion and is so easy and efficient to work with. I have been in many weddings and have had experience with a lot of professional photographers and I am telling you: what these two can do with 6 hours is what most photographers take 12 hours to do, plus, the shots end up looking all the same! My concern was primarily the time. I did not feel like they would be there long enough to capture everything I wanted because it's so easy to fall into the trap of getting someone to come for a marathon 12 hour day, but I expressed my concerns to Yasmine and she assured me that every shot what we wanted could be executed in the time frame I was able to pay. Honestly, the lady saved us money and could have easily had me book for more time. What impressed me most was the fact that AFTER we got all our photos, she still wanted to make sure I was happy with them. She went above and beyond with the editing to ensure I liked every single photo of the over 600 we got from a 6 hour event. As we were leaving the church, Yasmine ran after us and asked us to quickly take some photos (it took 10 minutes to take them) because Deshun saw an area he wanted to photograph us in and had a "vision". I will be honest, I didn't know what the heck he was referring to, but I was game. We could not believe what we saw when we viewed the photos because no one had ever seen that perspective or angle of the church we have been going to for 15 years; moreover, I have never seen any photos from previous weddings (been in a lot at that very church) like that. This boils down to the reason you must hire these people: their perspective and eye for photography is a GIFT. You can find a lot of people who can take pretty pictures of you, but you can't find a team who can see what these two are able to see: that unique perspective requires more than just experience, it requires this innate ability to look at something plainly there, but see something more out of it. They not only have that priceless vision, but the technical skills to execute them. You cannot pay for that. Don't skimp on photos of your special event. These two can make four walls look like four totally different landscapes. You will look back at them and see things you didn't see the day of your event. They are also the most incredible people you will meet: kind, funny and so easy going, and keep that in mind as they will be interacting WITH YOU and YOUR GUESTS the day of your event. My husband and I are so happy that we hired Dapper Images for our engagement and Wedding photos. They are so talented and our pictures are beautiful! Where do I even begin?! I wish you could give more than five stars for a review because Yasmine & Deshun deserve five million. This couple and their entire team took our breath away with how incredibly they captured our special day. From our photographs, to the trailer video, to our feature length documentary film, everything came out better than we could have ever imagined. From our very first meeting with Yas & Deshun at their gorgeous home office in Murrieta, we knew that we'd found the most creative and genuine people in the wedding photography industry. We had no doubt that they'd do us proud, and boy did they ever! They both made my husband and I, as well as the entire wedding party, feel so incredibly comfortable. Nothing felt staged or uncomfortable, it was just genuine and natural. They were so creative with their ideas and had such amazing techniques of unique ways to capture our day. Everything was also so timely regarding the editing, we got sneak pics and a few select images that were edited in no time at all so that we could send out prompt Thank You cards. And then the full gallery shortly followed. The trailer was ready just before Christmas, just over 3 months after our wedding. And then we just received our full length documentary film not even 5 months after the wedding. We LOVE Dapper Images!!! I looked for photographers for our July 2011 wedding for a long time and was nearly at my wits end when I saw some reviews for Dapper on Yelp and decided to check out their website. Done! Their photos were so original, so glamorous, so perfect - I knew that I had to have them for my wedding! My fiance, mother and I went to meet with Yasmine and DeShun the first time at their home and there was a cute welcoming sign outside and Yasmine had even baked red velvet cupcakes. It was a nice treat. We spent about 2 hours with them going through their photos, and listening to them describe their backgrounds and styles, as they got to know us better. We were very happy when we left that night (with a signed contract!), but of course I was nervous for our engagement photo shoot - I didn't know what to expect! Luckily we had a beautiful day for our engagement photo shoot and I had just had my hair and makeup trial done earlier that day. DeShun was professional and had great ideas for how we should pose, taking advantage of our chosen locations (L'Auberge Hotel in Del Mar, and then down to the grassy area and beach below). We had a blast and the time just flew by! And then of course came the renewed nerves when we came to their new studio to see the photos from the engagement photo shoot. And we were both so happy to see that the photos turned out great! I definitely don't consider myself to be photogenic, but the photos really were amazing! So the big day finally rolled around and Yasmine and DeShun were right on time, taking lots of detailed photos of my shoes, jewelry, bridesmaids getting ready, me and my mom getting ready! And DeShun went off to go shoot the guys getting ready. We all came together at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club and the rest of the evening was fabulous! DeShun and Yasmine were easy to work with and very professional. I was extremely pleased! They even impressed the Coordinator at the country club and are now on her preferred vendors list! I can't say enough about how great Dapper Images is and how happy I am that I chose them to capture my wedding. Don't go with anybody else, Dapper Images is the only way to go! read more
