I was surprised at his extreme confidence and commanding, rapid speech when I first talked with him. However, I just chalked it up to his personality as someone who was confident that he knew how to run a business in his area of expertise. But he was not very flexible in working with my schedule at all. He told me what he was going to do whether it worked with my schedule or not. He wanted to come into my new house when I wasn't there to drop off a piano. When I tried to explain to him that I couldn't accommodate a certain change because of another contractor's sudden change (I have had both my main moving company and the flooring company reschedule appointments multiple times), and I might have to look at other companies because of the short time frame, he snapped: "Go with another company. You're too difficult to work with." To which I responded, "You're kind of a * too." I know, I shouldn't have, and I regret snapping back at him. But he was definitely a "my way or the highway kind of guy" and came off as pretty arrogant. If you are able to work with him and stay on his good side, you may get a good price.

Luis H. is a talented piano professional both as a musician and as a technician! His accomplished…read moreapproach is reflected in the results he achieves. He deciphered an obscure hammer position adjustment on a Hailun studio grand piano. He remarked, "I live for this!" when presented with this particularly elusive challenge. This was further complicated by the fact that the piano was placed in an area with humidity and temperature fluctuations, ultimately leading to sticking jacks. He presented an excellent set of recommendations for maintaining the health and improving the function of our piano moving forward. He touched on the fact that a specific type of regulation would greatly improve the sound and increase the responsiveness of the action, and he offered it as a part of the long-term plan for our investment. There's nothing about the service we received from Mr. Hernandez it was lacking in quality or reliability; we would absolutely recommend his services to any piano owner!

It was not horribly out of tune, but I thought why not treat myself to a fresh start. Tom Budjanec of Piano Forte, located in Ambridge, PA, answered my call immediately. We scheduled a service call within a day. He adjusted the action on all of the keys, sanded the felt hammers, and tuned it twice with a weeks time in between. OH MY GOODNESS!!! It is a revelation and a joy to play now. Certainly this is money well spent for the pleasure I am getting from the restored sound. Piano Forte will not only repair, tune and restore your piano, but do it promptly and at a fair price. Call Tom.

The owner Mike is an accomplished cellist so he knows what is needed from a musician's perspective. He did an amazing job fixing up my old cello. He put in a new bridge, adjusted the sound post and changed out non-functioning tuning pegs with Wittner geared pegs. It plays effortlessly thanks to the wonderful set up. The service fee is very reasonable and is worth every penny I spent. Thanks to Mike's fantastic work, I can now enjoy my cello again. Mike even played a few songs for me on my cello. I don't think I have ever heard my cello sounded that beautiful ever before. I will be bringing my other cello there for a tune up in the near future. Highly recommended this place.

Despite all the time we took, I always felt that Joe was happy to help out with all our questions and put up with our indecision. He gave me time and space to sample the floor models and was not pushy or impatient as we made our selection. We are now happy owners of a new Yamaha and I'm confident I could stop back to see Joe if I had any follow up questions. I would recommend this location to anyone in the market for a piano.
