I can't say enough great things about Anne! We started the program with Anne when our son was 3.5 months old. Before the program, it would take us 45 minutes to put him to sleep, he would wake up every 30-45 minutes at night and be inconsolable, and he would refuse to sleep in his own crib after 2 am! My husband and I had reached the end of our rope with our 2-year-old, whom we were co-sleeping with for the last year and half, before we decided to call Anne. Where do I even start? Anne made a miracle happen. I type this review while my 9 month old sleeps soundly. Back track 4 weeks and it was a completely different situation. My daughter started the 4 month sleep regression after sleeping through the night previously. Each week it got worse until by month 6 she was waking every 40-50 min. My husband and I were sleeping in shifts and both exhausted for work. I was at my wits end. Even though I'm in so cal, I found Anne. In her 15 min free consult (that she graciously took 30 min for) I could tell she read my intake form and already had insights and ideas that made me feel I had found an expert and someone with extensive knowledge on sleep for babies. I asked a lot of questions. A lot. And she answered them either via email or with audio text messages. Sometimes, when I was in a pickle (baby vomited, but was a sleep, what should I do?), she answered quickly and gave me ideas of how best to handle it. The crying was very hard for me, but I'm a sensitive one. I cried a good amount the first 3 days. But by night 1, my daughter went from waking 10 or more times a night to 3. By night 3, she slept through the night and has ever since. Naps were harder for her to improve on, but she has improved dramatically. She still has more improvement to go. Anne is an expert. She will be there step by step, she will know what to say to reassure and guide you, and she leaves you with the steps you need to maintain success. Life saver! My only regret is that we waited and struggled with hit or miss sleep for almost a year before we finally recruited Anne (from a friend's referral). Our baby's sleep was sometimes on, sometimes off, but OK enough that I didn't think it was worth getting a sleep consultant until we did an interstate move that was pretty disruptive and all of a sudden both his night sleeps and naps were all over the place and so so awful. It turned ME into an awful person because I was so cranky and upset all the time because my baby was cranky and upset from not sleeping! Literally within 24 hours of starting to work with Anne we began to see marked improvements in Miles' sleep, and within days we were on a regular schedule. Now that we've completed the program, Miles sleeps a solid 1-2 hours more per day than he did before working with Anne. I feel so guilty because I didn't realize how chronically underslept he must have been! No wonder the poor guy was always so cranky in the evenings. AND Anne helped us transition to a regular 9am and 2pm nap schedule, which is AMAZING for my life because now I have so much more regularity to my days. Before anytime I tried to make any type of appointment, I was always so stressed because I never knew where his naps would fall from day to day, but now they're very very consistent. And we used to struggle with such early wakings (usually between 5 to 6am and so much sobbing if we tried to leave him in the crib til 6) but now he wakes up happy usually between 6-6:30am and lays in his crib for 10-15 minute quietly and contentedly playing with his stuffed rabbit until he sits up and lets us know he's ready to be taken out. Anne is amazing! Such good vibes from the first time we spoke. We used to have to co-sleep with my little guy and he had so many sleep associations - nursing to sleep, pacifier, rocking, patting, you name it! But even then, he would wake up every 2-3 hours so I didn't get any sleep whatsoever. We started at 5 months and on the first night of training, he slept 12 hours straight and didn't need to nurse! Dropped all sleep associations cold turkey! I thought maybe it was a unicorn night, but sure enough, it's been over 3 weeks and he's been sleeping 10-12 hours a night, no feeds! And he wakes up so happy! Sure, there was some crying involved, but it was very minimal for us. Also, it's not the traditional Cry It Out method which I could never bring myself to do! Anne was super responsive with my thousands of questions and would always help me troubleshoot when I needed some guidance on different scenarios that presented itself during training. I'm sure there will be some obstacles along the way, but the self settling skills my little guy is building is really helpful for the long run. I wouldn't have been able to do it on my own because I had so many questions (and didn't want to turn to Dr. Google) so the 1:1 support was exactly what I needed. Working with Anne was one of the best decisions we made as early parents. I was skeptical of sleep coaching / training at first, not because I didn't think it would work (I did), but because I thought we could figure it out ourselves and I didn't want to pay someone else to do it. I was wrong! There was SO MUCH we didn't know about infant / baby sleep, wake windows, sleep pressure, independent skills, over-stimulation... even after reading lots of books. Anne was our unflappable, always-available, seemingly all-knowing sleep guide who coached BOTH us AND our son through the sleep-learning process. She taught us how to let our son learn how to fall asleep independently every... single... time... naps and bedtime! On day 1 of sleep coaching our son put himself to sleep for bedtime and naps the following day. We've never looked back. Anne was a friend and confidant throughout the entire process. She is smart, clear, experienced, professional, easy to talk to, good-humored, responsive, patient... the list goes on and on. She answered our countless questions with kindness and knowledge, and never tired of our endless inquiries and (sometimes) stress-filled phone calls. Honestly, Anne made sleep training my 4.5 month old boy a million times easier and less stressful. My partner and I knew we needed to sleep train our baby, but we could not agree on any aspect in the process. Then, the 4 month sleep regression hit him hard and we knew we were in a pretty tough place. Anne was very knowledgeable and from the first consultation she had us trusting her. She guided us through any hiccups in my baby's schedule, and was optimistic when I got discouraged. I'm telling you right now, this woman GETS IT. You can do all the research you want on sleep training but if you're like me and need the support one on one, you should hire her ASAP. When my daughter was 4 months old she would only contact sleep and it wasn't for longer than 2 hours. Anne gave me the tools and confidence to get my daughter in her crib. She answered every question i had (and trust me I had thousands) without ever making me feel annoying! my daughter is 15 months now and I really should of done this review sooner. The foundation of skills I have learned about sleep has been amazing due to Anne. sleep does not just magically get better for most babies/toddlers. It was worth every penny.
