Most classes are offered in studio and streamed via Zoom. I really enjoyed the chair yoga and Yin classes, which are difficult to find, offered on Sundays. I live in a different state and when Covid hit, the streaming classes were a lifesaver during lockdown! I've been "in studio" a couple times since my first visit but continue to take streamed classes a couple of times a week and will continue to do so. Instructors are welcoming and helpful. Responsive to queries. If you are not in the area I recommend registering for the streaming classes.

First, the good: Lovely yoga studio in a old storefront with a series of curtains separating the…read morestudio from the entrance. Beautiful wood floors and a tin relief ceiling. Class started precisely on time. Clean restroom, good low-light visibility and very warm, even for a restorative class that wasn't advertised as warm/hot. Also, the instructor had placed a "You matter" card in/on each pair of shoes near the front door. It was a nice touch I hadn't seen before at other studios. The class was very inexpensive at $8 -- but more on that below. The less good: It was quite crowded for a Wednesday night. That can be both a pro and a con, I know... it's good to see a yoga studio fill a class so that you know it can stay in business. Parking seemed to be a bit of a challenge but not impossible -- there is a free public lot just a little way down from the studio. The bad: It was pitched as a restorative class, but it ran 7:00-7:45pm, which meant we got through maybe a total of 4 poses (supported child's pose, a legs up half-inversion, supported pigeon on both sides) before moving into savasana... at the 33-minute mark! I was astonished that we were basically wrapping things up after less than 35 minutes. Now, I knew it was a 45-minute class when I signed up, but my overall opinion now is that you really can't do a restorative class any justice in that amount of time. That said, I can't complain too much because it was only $8. However, I would have gladly paid twice that amount for a restorative class of 60-75 minutes. Lastly, I would recommend that instructors give some indication at the beginning of class that touching may be involved -- and offer some sort of option like "place your hands on your belly" or "flip this physical marker (I've seen this done at more than one studio) before placing hands on students. It wasn't unwelcome in this case and I have no complaint about it, but I know that some students do not wish to be touched and it would just be a good idea to offer people a delicate way to opt out of that. Just a suggestion for improvement.

I loved Leanne's leadership style throughout the classes. Being brand new to yoga I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep up. Leanne did a wonderful job of balancing her class for beginners and for more advanced students. Her warm and inviting voice was wonderful to listen to as she explained the different poses. From the start of the challenge to the end I made significant improvements on my knowledge of yoga, benefits to the body and mind, flexibility, strength and balance. Pilates Central offers both mat and reformer (the machine invented by Joseph Pilates that looks like a medieval torture device with ropes and springs) classes. The reformer classes are limited to four people so you get lots of personal attention. Classes are offered in the morning, during the day and at night so you can always find a time that suits you. Abby's great about rescheduling too so you can usually change your time around if something comes up.

The trainers track your progress and gradually increase the difficulty of your workouts so you never plateau. The group classes are fun too. They're usually only 3-4 people so you get lots of personal attention. I highly recommend kickboxing, PiYo and the Strength Circuit. For small group classes and personal training the prices are great. I highly recommend XO for people of any level who want to get in shape and stay motivated!

So here I am, 2 minutes before my workout, finding out that I would be working out with a trainer I barely knew and that I had never discussed my fitness goals with; not to mention, the personal training I had already paid for, was now "guided" training, which I learned means group training. Ummm...well, I certainly hope group training would cost less...Anyways, at my next session I personally spoke to the owner about getting a refund and let her know I would have liked to know before showing up for my workout that both my trainer and my personal training session had been replaced. She smugly sat there with a smirk on her face and made excuses and reasons as to why she was right in not refunding me and I was wrong. She said the new trainer I was working with could continue personal training with me until my sessions run out. How personal can the training be when other clients are there for their sessions at the same time I am and there is only one trainer...whom I have never agreed to training with or talked about my fitness goals with? I am a paying client and this place is not inexpensive by any means. No, instead I am forced to workout there under her chosen circumstances or lose out on my money. Sadly, Linkage has completely lost all trust and respect from me.

Ask straight out , if my child has a behavior can you accommodate them? They say it is place for inclusion and enriching summer experiences, but that is only if your child does not have any behavioral issues. Their words, that they understand that summer can present unique challenges in finding a safe and enjoyable program. They should make it known in their literature that they can not support the needs of children who may have behaviors while in the program. It gives families false hope that there is actually a place that "ALL CHILDREN" with special needs have a safe space and a chance to grow and have fun. I understand if they can not adequately provide the service, but then don't advertise INCLUSION AND ACCEPTANCE, when you do not have the support to actually carry through with you written promise. It can be soul crushing to families that think they found a nurturing environment to only once again be turned away and excluded. Which is the opposite of INCLUSION. Be up front with families in your handbook, quit giving false hope. Even worse the effect it has on the child that doesn't have the ability to comprehend being dismissed. DO BETTER BY THE NEXT FAMILY!

The bikes are nice because they have many different gears so you can find the exact level you want to ride on. The instructors are all fantastic and really challenge you in each class. In addition to the regular 50 minute classes , they also have a 30 minute. Although the 30 minute is shorter, it's just as hard (if not more intense) as a full length class. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who doesn't have a ton of time but still wants to burn calories. The studio is always clean and the bikes are socially distanced. Each person gets a locker that matches their bike number for all of their belongings - you sign up for your bike number online but they remind you upon arrival. BONUS: the first class is only $5!
