Front of the building

I recently switched my family's primary care provider to Dr. Gozun at Empower Health and I wish I had done it much sooner! The staff is super friendly and helpful, the building looks clean and new inside and out, and everyone who works there is very inviting and welcoming. Dr. Gozun is amazing and makes my family feel well taken care of every time we are seen. Tracy, at the front desk, is also super amazing and went above and beyond to help make things smooth and easy for our numerous appointments. There is also an urgent care and a diagnostics lab in the same building, which is super convenient. There's also plenty of parking right in front of the building and the waiting area is large, which is great for following social distancing rules.

Staff is super nice and friendly. I've been to both the urgent care and the doctors office side. Switched my primary to here as well. I love that it's so close to home and I don't have to drive all the way to town. Great location great facility and great staff!

Went to urgent care, wasted my time and money for the NP to prescribe the same OTC cough med that I've been taking and wasn't helping.

Seeing firsthand how well they cared for their patient while I was there during the admission completely changed my perspective. The staff was attentive and professional, and it truly restored my trust and confidence in their level of care. This time I was there as a visitor instead of a patient, and I also discovered a small Starbucks corner in the waiting area past the vending machines (which unfortunately weren't working). It was such a nice surprise. They had great options, I grabbed a turkey pesto sandwich, a Smartwater, and a nutter butter and it definitely helped hold me over during the ER wait. Little comforts like that really make a difference when you're spending hours there.

We had an emergency just a month ago and they took it seriously and I felt like we were in good hands. And then we went to the hospital Side for the first time a few days ago. The campus is beautiful, people were friendly, and the staff was helpful and directing us where we needed to go. We got the MRI that "tripler hospital" did not give my Husband. Queens gave the reading of the MRI the following day. If we weren't military, I would choose to come to this hospital for my Care.

The front staff are super friendly and the nurses & doctors are also SUPER at what they do. I believe there is also a Psychologist there. Ample parking and SAFE. Close for us people on the West side of the Island. Worth the change from the BIG VA hospital at Tripler. My doctor is so kind and compassionate that she is the, in my experience & opinion, the best the VA has to offer. Queens Medical Center, in buying this facility has done a LOT with it and there is even a coffee shop at the main entrance. Many handicap stalls and wild chickens running around to watch before your appointment. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone on the Leeward or North Shore over Wahiawa or other private hospitals. Thank you for reading this review. Mahalo nui loa my friends. ~Joey

The location was very convenient as if was just right down the road from my house. Its sad that people on the west side need to wait longer to be cared for, especially in an emergency situation where they have to travel longer to pali momi or kaiser. That much time they need to travel is that much crucial to life or death. The parking here was also good since it was an open lot and you dont have to pay for parking like the other hospitals. Hopefully someone buys this place soon because the west side is a fast growing city and it will need a main hospital.

Since it was a pre-op clearance, Mely performed an EKG with a portable device she could wheel into the examination room. She went over my blood pressure, temperature and EKG readings and told me which meds to stop taking one week prior. She sent me down to the lab for blood and urine tests after. I was happy and impressed that both ladies were both kind, thorough and very pretty plus easy to talk to. I was told if I don't get a call, that's good news and I'm cleared for surgery.

They don't sound kind , understanding or patient . They the type who just wanna get it over with and hang up the phone. They told me I needed to get a referral first and so I did. So they made me waste my time driving to my pcp with morning sickness and a cold flu. Imagine having to drive back and forth feeling nauseous and tired with fever chills back pain sore throat inflammation with chest pain only to be told no! It's a Fn NIGHTMARE! All I wanted was to just go to a clinic close by me and get the medications I needed because of my cold flu! I do not recommend Dr. Roxanne Kawelo. They are inconsiderate , impatient and terrible workers. Some people just don't belong in the healthcare profession . May karma reach their families and friends.

Scotty, Beam me up to my appointment at Kaiser Permanente West Oahu in Kapolei!…read more Well, we are not quite there yet but in the meantime, this facility has does its best to make waits for both appointments and for prescription pick ups a lot easier with less line and crowded elevators to stand in. Walk in and there are four check in kiosks at the front entrance. If the kiosks can't check you in, there is a live person check-in desk and there's also a check in person behind the kiosks area to assist you in case of navigation problems. This person can contact your doctor's office in case there are any appointment issues. Once checked in, the magical part is this sitting room experience where you wait for your name to appear on the TV monitor indicating your appointment time is ready, and when you spot your name, you head to the elevator on your way to your doctor visit. Same thing for the prescription pick up wait area except you just go to the counter to purchase your order when you spot your name on the TV monitor in that area. When your appointment time is ready. Walk to the elevators ahead on the left and exit on the floor of your doctor's visit. The office areas are secured. I've only visited this building once so I only have one experience in one of the doctor areas. Sit in the waiting area outside the doctor's offices. A nurse will come to escort you inside almost immediately or shortly after you elevator ride up. Beyond the secured door is the doctor's offices area. This space reminded me of a smaller emergency hospital or regular hospital stay set up where the center area forms a large square work area for the nurses stations and the treatment rooms line the perimeter. The difference is that the doctors have offices in the surrounding areas along the squared nurses station area. Insides of the treatment rooms are your typical Kaiser Permanente visit room but a little smaller and no sink. Despite the smaller footprint, the room felt cozy and bright and the doctor is a lot closer to you as you sit on the folded exam table. When you are done, you exit the same way you walked in, down the elevator, and out to the parking lot to retrieve your car. The parking lot is spacious and best part is that parking is free. There are solar powered roofs over most of the parking lot so your vehicle will most likely be shaded from the sun. The driveway entrance takes you right in a loop toward the building and into the different parking areas but remember on the way out to take the path around the parking lot rather than returning the way you entered bc the entrance path in is actually one way. Had a good doctor visit. I'll be back!

TMI, but haven't had a proper BM in 10 DAYS! Crazy, I know. So I called in to make an appointment and they were able to fit me in the next day. I've only had experience with closed systems, they have an open system here. Elizabeth was so generous and patient with answering all of my questions, I feel like I asked at least a dozen before we got started. The price was amazing, too! $75 for one ~45min session is such a steal (they were generous with the time for me, so thankful). Dr.George even came in and gave me an abdominal massage that I requested and taught me a little bit about colon anatomy which was very cool. The experience was VERY EFFECTIVE! Lots of surprises came out. If you're familiar with giving yourself an enema at home, it's a similar experience, except way more thorough. It's definitely more hands on as you're the one inserting the thing up in there and you get to control the water flow and even the temperature. There's a little buzzer if you need help and they check on you every once and a while. The space where the colonic happens is clean and cool. Instead of the white walls shown on their website, they were instead covered in a beautiful hand painted mural of nature scenery. There's also some anatomy posters on the door to look at if you get bored. Overall I had a great experience, by the end of the session I was in a way better mood, physically lighter, more flexible, my back pain and body aches were gone and I feel like I can eat again since the pipes are clean. They end the session off by sending you away with a couple probiotics to take to help reculture everything which I thought was super nice, too. I was joking with my friend that if my colon could sing it would be singing right now. Creepy or cute? I dunno. LOL. I'll be coming back for sure~ SALAMAT!
