So, being that I am in the market for a new job, I felt it was time to give my resume an overhaul. I've sent it to friends before to look at and critique, but the response I always get from friends and family is "it looks great the way it is." It might be, but sometimes, you have to call in for backup. I was referred to Ryan and his staff and sent them my resume to be reworked so I could land a better job. I searched long and hard for a reputable resume service before I chose employment boost. I had already vested a couple hundred on resume services prior to contacting them but after seeing the high reviews I was confident I'd be pleased with their service. I unfortunately have seen very minimal results and received hundreds of rejection emails. I've submitted over 250 applications along with cover letters that I've geared towards the job. I feel like my resume doesn't even make it past the ATS system based off their emails. That's important to me and stated in my meeting with employment boost. After carefully reviewing the resume past the short review time for edits they allow, I noticed many grammar and spelling errors I didn't expect to have to edit. It's disappointing. Especially in these current times as I wasn't able to get anyone to look at my resume for months before the Covid lockdown, I'm anticipating it will be harder now. I've had the resume reviewed by friends who are VP's and Upper Management in fortune companies and their feedback is that the resume is unorganized or they can't even understand what I do.
