I had a really great experience getting my first tattoo here! Me and my friends originally went in just to ask questions about future tattoo's we'd want done, and when it came to mine, I found out I could actually get it done on the spot, and next thing I knew I was done and out the door with my first tattoo. The tattoo artist that helped my friends and I was Grant, he was super awesome and chill, and thanks to him I have a really cool tattoo. :) read more

Great place. I took a star off because it is cash only and they do not have an ATM. I took my 11 year old here to get her ears pierced. The piercer made her feel very comfortable. He was very nice and explained everything. read more

I got a tattoo done on the back of my leg. When I initially called, I got Louie, and he had me send him an example of what I wanted to get. Then we set an appointment for the same day. When I got there, he was very accommodating, and had the design ready for me. When it was done I was VERY happy with it! It looked better than I was expecting! Also it was reasonably priced. I would definitely go back to him for future tattoos, and recommend him for anyone else who is looking for a tattoo artist. read more

I can only speak to the piercings here, but I am so happy I found this place. The gentlemen who work at the shop were nice when we walked in, very attentive and helpful in pointing me to the right employee for piercing. Shop was very clean, well lit, upkept and a comfortable atmosphere. Couches available in case of a wait. Adam the piercer was very kind, I was nervous about doing my industrial and he was a very calming presence. He explained everything, got me through the piercing quickly and efficiently. Helpful in explaining how to care for it afterwards, really nice guy. Very clean setup in his little space, it was obvious that everything was on the up and up here. I will recommend him to all my friends for piercings from now on, and will definitely be back to see him if I decide to get more one day. Tl;dr: if you want a piercing, come here!! Adam and the rest of the guys will take care of you! read more

Last night my friend and I went into our nose pierced by London. He is absolutely amazing and super friendly. He made the process easy and as painless as possible. He was funny and definitely had us literally rolling on the floor with laughter. He was professional and easy-going. I plan to return to him when I get some additional piercings. read more

Came here after having a horrible experience at another tattoo shop and was so relieved to find that this place was so professional! Had a nose piercing gone wrong from another place and after speaking to London I decided to take out my nose piercing and let it heal so I can get it redone entirely to fix it. I let it heal for two month and I went back to see London yesterday to get it redone. He is so fantastic! He is professional and gentle! I didn't feel uncomfortable or nervous. He explained everything he was going to do beforehand so I wasn't anxious. The piercing came out perfect! Really glad I came to this place and really glad that I was worked on by London! Will definitely be back!:) read more

I love this place. The piercer, London, is so accommodating and patient. He pierced my septum and helped me out when the jewelry broke! Definitely recommend to anyone who appreciates customer service and thorough work! read more

Absolutely disgusted! Came in last week asking for a simple butterfly tattoo on my side. The artist name was Ruben that I talked to, he was rude as shit and told me that it wouldn't look good because of my fat. That if I was a skinnier girl it would work but not for me. Then we went on to tell me I should get it on my arm but that might hurt because tattooing on fat is sensitive. Is this what they call good service? Is this how they run their business? Also the place was dirty as fuck. There was food everywhere and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. read more

Spike was great! Great personality & very professional. He did a great job on re-touching a 15 yrs.old tattoo (very faded). Highly recommend! Aloha! read more

Today, is my birthday, and I decided I wanted to get something pierced for the heck of it! I walked into empire tattoo and a part-time body piercer was more than happy to help me. He was very nice and handed me a consent form, although I had a 30/45 minute wait, he was still happy to see me and help me out. He was patient when I had to choose my body jewelry (I was very indecisive) and gave me some tips on the jewelry. After waiting another 5 minutes while he prepped and set it up, he talked to me and made me feel comfortable to trust him. I felt I was in very good hands and he placed my mark exactly where I wanted it. Sadly I was so tired that did not catch his name, but still a rad guy! The piercing itself took less than 5 minutes and was a breeze! Although I have some other piercings, he kept me updated on how I should take care of my nose and was totally awesome! I love my nose ring and I feel like I can go get something pierced by him again, awesome dude and place! I will definitely go back again soon! read more

In September my sister and I wanted to get sister tattoos and Empire came highly recommended. So After doing a ton of research (this being our first tattoo) we found Pablo. Since I live in Alaska I had to do most of my communication via email and had lots of questions especially since I wanted 2 tattoos done. Pablo was so amazing, he answered all my questions and helped this newbie out. When I got to the shop for our apt all my nerves disappeared. The shop was clean and Pablo had everything ready to go. Our tattoos came out amazing! He loves what he does and it shows, he is VERY talented and is great to work with. I love my tattoo and can't wait to get more! read more

Went in today for help with my ear piercings. At first, the piercing specialist wasn't at the shop but another gentleman working there kindly let me know when he would be in. I had done a lot of research on where to go to get my tattoos and the artist that I would like to do the job. I read a lot of positive reviews on Pablo and decided to meet him to see if we could work together to make my visions a reality for the tattoos I was looking to get. I was beyond amazed by his work and his passion to tell the story that I was trying to get across through the piece I wanted. He took so much attention to details and brought the image to life. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to anyone that is looking to get any work done! I have already gotten two pieces by him and I would not dream of going anywhere else. He is a super cool guy and a really hard worker who looks to tell the story you are wanting to get across. read more

Originally went in to get a reverse triple helix piercing but London advised getting something that would last longer and look better. So instead we did 3 cartilage piercings, it's been two weeks and they're healing so nicely. He was super patient with me and easy to talk to, made the whole experience that much better. Can't wait til they're fully healed I'm so happy with the decision to go with this instead of the reverse helix! read more

Today a girlfriend and I went to Empire Tattoo Studios for new ear piercings. London Hernandez, a professional piercing artist with over 12+ years of experience greeted us. He went over the best gauge size & type of earrings we were looking for. He was absolutely wonderful, patiently explaining "everything" and putting you at ease. During the procedure you felt only a little pinch and after that no pain whatsoever. Also London made sure the earrings were placed "perfectly even" on both side of the ears. The prices are definitely affordable and worth paying for if you're looking for expertise and quality. (Also make sure you bring cash and your ID). I'm really glad I went here and hope after reading this 5 star review that you visit this place and "ask for London." I'm definitely hooked and will be consulting this wonderful artist again soon. read more

I came into this place a little after my 21st birthday to get a price on a tattoo. Well I was literally pressured into the chair by the supposed artist and I use that term loosely. His name was TJ. In case any of you where wondering. He got the stencil on and couldn't even follow a simple line drawing. He blew the lines in many places and skipped little bits here and there. It is god awful ! I am considering getting it lasered off. Please if you value your skin go else where. I got my second tattoo a little over a year ago and am in love with it. I wouldn't dream of parting with it. I got that one at Skin n Ink. I'll post a review on that one as well. read more

My best friend and I went in to get matching tattoos. Pablo was awesome to work with. He was very professional and when we showed him what we were going for he gave us his opinion of what could work and what couldn't regarding lettering because we wanted tats that would look nice and clean and not get illegible after a couple years. He knew his stuff. The shop is very clean; they make a point to show you that everything they're using on you is brand-new and sterilized and our tattoos came out AMAZING! I'm so happy with mine and I get compliments on it ALL THE TIME! Go see Pablo--get some ink! You won't be disappointed. read more

Bobby has been doing my tats for a year now and is irreplaceable. His work is superb and I can't enter or leave a bar, class, or gym without someone inquiring about my work. The staff is beyond friendly and are incredibly easy to work with. As for the bad reviews, they are in response to an artist who was let go. Empire tattoo in Redlands is the manifestation of impeccable art and unpresisented professionalism. read more

I got my first tattoo here and even though $120 was a bit steep for me, I figured I'd pay for something that would be done well since it would be stuck on my body forever pretty much. I got it done by Mark and he's was cool. Nice guy, not much of a talker though, but was flexible because right before he started doing the outline, I realized there was one more petal than there should have been so he had to redraw it right away. I liked how it came out, the redraw. I almost died when he did only the outline, but it was my wrist so it was understandable. The tattoo itself took less than an hour, and boy did it drag on. But overall, the experience was nice. I would have liked a little better interaction from everyone and it seemed like they were thinking about something else and not fully paying attention all the time. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, so think of it like 3.5 stars. read more

I got my first tattoo here about 3 years ago. I had a great experience and still love my tat. I came back about a month ago to add to it. I was lucky enough to walk-in and meet Spike. He is passionate, talented, and experienced. Told him what I wanted, went through his amazing portfolio, and within minutes we set an appointment. During the appointment, he was super organized, tidy, professional and calm. I had complete confidence in his skills and I felt relaxed the entire time. I LOVE my refreshed tattoo and the additions he made. Its exactly what I wanted. Its been a week and I've healed SO nicely. Thank you Spike and Empire Tattoo!!! I'll be back for more... read more

I hope nothing like my experience ever happens to anyone else's daughter. My daughter on her 18th birthday wanted to get her first tattoo with her cousin and brother at her side. The first disgust is that they never once asked for an ID or proof of age. They never knew the age of my barley 18 yr old daughter. Mind you she looks as if she's 15. The artist she worked with was Paul E or Pauly. She told him she wanted a lotus flower between her boobs. He said he could do it and lead her to the back. She had a button up flannel on to reveal the middle portion of her chest. He told her that she needed to completely take her shirt off in order for him to "work". She thought it was weird but thought he was a professional and complied. When she took her shirt off she tried covering her breast with her hands but he told her to drop her hands so he "could see if it was centered." She hesitated but he said he "had to see if it was center with her nipples." She hesitated but did drop her hands. After he saw he proceeded to call over 3 other men in the shop to "see if it is centered." She covered herself with her hands again but again Paul E told her to drop her hands so they could see. Once they determined "it looked good" she proceeded to tell her brother and cousin to come to the back with her. Paul e then said "you probably shouldn't unless you want an audience." She insisted and had them come to the back. When her cousin walked to the back and saw she was completely topless the cousin asked the artist why she she didn't have nipple tape on. Paul E said " he didn't have any" and said "why, we have all already seen." As she was getting tattooed another artist commented how in love with her he was. After the tattoo was done Paul asked if he could take a pic for his Instagram. She allowed it and had the flannel on and only showed the middle of her chest to reveal the tattoo. He then asked her to take the tape off her nipples and her shirt so he can take pics so he can show "it is centered." She said no. He insisted a few more times and she continued to say no. He said " it will only be be for me and I won't post it." She said no. He then asked if she was going to keep the tape on her boobs. She proceeded to turn around and take the take off and Paul E then says "aww I wanted to do that part." It is disgusting to think how someone like still has a job where he has access to young girls. It is disgusting how it took 4 grown men to see if a flower "was centered " on my daughters chest and she couldn't put her hands over her breasts to cover herself when she tried. I will make sure everyone knows what trash works here at this shop. It's disgusting that my daughter thinking she was going to a "professional" tattoo shop was taken advantage of not knowing this is not what is needed to do a tattoo. It's disgusting that none of the other three grown men stepped in and said anything. read more

I went in to get my first tattoo and was super nervous. I had Ruben Bailon as my artist and he was THE NICEST person ever. I told him it was my first tattoo and he was so cool about it and made me feel super comfortable. All the workers were super nice and the place wasn't as scary as I thought it was gonna be! I know that sounds lame but I'm not a person you would expect to have tats. I'm so glad I went here for my first tattoo!!! Completely worth it! read more

DO NOT GET PIERCED BY THE GUY WITH GAUGES IN HIS LIP! Go there to get tatted or whatever else. But don't get pierced by London. Here is my experience: - I went in there to get my snake eye piercing. And he put the dots on my tongue and I asked him if he could move it forward because I didn't like where it was. Well he gave me his opinion (which a piercer should never do) and said, "well it's not going to look good." Like obviously I'm going to listen to a professional piercer, but it's my mouth and I have to live with the piercing. Well in the end he gave me venom bites. I left and then half an hour later came back in and asked for it to be removed, (and he personally removed it for me) because I didn't like the position of it. So I came back in a week later and went in to get my money back. I sat in there for an hour to speak with him. Well once I got to talk to him he was very rude about the whole thing and told me "I will not give you your money back because you left with the piercing and came back hours later." This went on for about 5 minutes so I just left. No money no piercing. So go somewhere else to get pierced, save your time and get it done correctly. read more
